I don't think anybody believed him when he said he'd retire. Still, it's good news for those who actually did. I hope this one is better than LAX though (it wasn't a bad album, it's just the way the trend has been for him).

nah nobody did, and besides you cant be a legend and have classics that early in your career
he thought he was a legend already, but hopefully his next album is his best

haha this wasn't a surprise. I just hope he gets the Timbaland and Cool and Dre production crew that was rumored a little bit back. It seems that classic albums usually consist of the artist using 1 or 2 producers for the whole project.
We all know Dr. Dre won't be on the album so might as well forget about that idea.

Maybe "LAX"...but IMO, "Doctor's Advocate" was right up there with "The Documentary". Both are personal classics for me. 8)

Doctors advocate was good but not as good as documentary.you can see where 50 really helped him with song structure in documentary

Just make quality hip-hop. Hate It Or Love It had that east coast vibe and it was his biggest single.

As for the rest of those tracks - I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure - he couldn't release them on cd because they came from the aftermath camp. I believe those were the last tracks he worked on in Aftermath (Murda, Feels Good, My Bitch, Won't Stop, Beautiful Life.)
Hard Liquor had a killer beat.
Doctor's Advocate was tight but it's like 50 said about Game. After hearing an idea he could make a tight track and that's how I view the doctor's advocate. He put on some classic west coast cds - a heavy focus on Dr.Dre's material- and made his versions of those tracks.
I think It's obvious he had direction with those last 6 tracks he made unless he's just really inconsistent as an artist.

Soldier was an pretty decent track.
My Love for You should've made it on an album.
I think Game's mixtapes are kind of wack. The majority of them are dissing 50 cent and G-unit. They were fun in the moment but they don't stand the test of time.

Didnt he say he was doin the Cool n Dre exclusive album a while ago? Prolly when he got shut down by the legends he was trying to get to make the Classic album... he was talking bout Ren and Yella and them on his album and that woulda been hella cool but way to hard to get them in and too expensive these days!

The Documentary is still my favourite. Every Beat, Hook and Verse is killer on that album.
