he didn't die for the westcoast, he loved new york ALOT too. he repped the west that hard becuase of the screwed up industry politics going on at that time.....the west coast was putting out superior material at the time and the east was shunning it, if pac was alive today he'd be pulling an ice cube and working with east coast artist

What X said still misses the point though - he's basing his comment on Pac's attitude for the year (if that) he spent rolling with Suge, conveniently ignoring works like 2Pacalypse Now, Strictly 4 My NIGGAZ and Me Against The World.

I just want to add, over at streetgangs.com in there forums u can see real gang bangers post, they were around when Pac was killed. While fan boys for years keep claiming it was something to do with Rap, it wasnt. Suge & those crooked cops were involved in Biggies, but that was more in revenge for what Puffy's home boy did in 1995 (killing one of Suges best child hood friends).

Basically Tupac was never a gangsta until 1996. He never really mentioned on albums (mainly coz it was towards the end of his life that he started red raggin) but yes, he began being influenced by Suge, hangin with Mob Piru's & towards the end he was representing that set hard (only coz he was Suges best friend).

One guy who was in the same set as Baby Lane aka Orlando Anderson talked to Orlando & knows what happened. Its pretty much Baby Lane was the type that didnt give a fuck. Anyway those crips rushed one of the Mob Piru's a few weeks before & stole his chain (as you all know his name is Tray).

Pac tried to be a hero & show he was down for Suges set so as soon as Tray told him Lane was there, Pac ran up & all those guys beat down on Lane. Lane wasnt gonna let Pac rush him like he did in vegas & get away with it. Orlando was the guy who rode on Pac (Pac wasnt the only victim of Baby Lanes).

This followed in Suges Mob Piru's & Crooked Cops shooting up crips from the same set as Lane in the weeks that followed Pac's death. They had all the weapons while they made sure they dried out Lane's hood out of weapons

So in short, Pac did lose his life over a colour, well, a colour & a death row chain, a chain of a company who owed him heaps of money & was planning to leave. X is right about that

But the fact is, Pac was a great song writer, he was more than a gangsta rapper, he wrote about topics & issues that were real. It was only like from Thug Life onwards he seemed to try & act harder & harder, as in talking about being a Ridah

Man...DMX didn't diss Pac, what type of title for a thread is this?
Also...not all Pac fans are Pac groupies. There are still some cats out there (like me) that actually love his music (& movies, etc) so that does not mean we're groupies...period.
