kind of pointless to put the songs on there that were already released properly
-
kind of pointless to put the songs on there that were already released properly
what's the problem`? We want this great Album in CDQ!
-
Thanks. I will be buyin' this when it drops. Has the cover leaked?
-
Fuck .. No "Get Fucked Up " ...
-
Fuck .. No "Get Fucked Up " ...
I really wanted this to be on there too but it was a drop for 92.3 so I wasn't expecting it to be on the tracklisting anyway.
This shit looks really solid. No new tracks at all. Don't really see the point of releasing Blueberry again just for the unreleased intro but oh well. You people are already bitching and I really don't know what more you could ask for.
-
GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i`m so excited to finally hear this classic
-
Dope 8)
Does Snoop's being executive producer of this project means he's also working with WideAwake now?
-
didn't lil c-style destroy the tape with the album on it? are we just getting more shitty Q tracks, like the past releases
-
Dope 8)

The reason why they are listing Snoop as the executive producer is because he oversaw this album when it was originally being recorded. He's not working with Wideawake.
-

Snoop said that when he was asked why the LBC Crew album wasn't released, so i guess that was just some bullshit.

Get Fucked up is a tragedy no one will hear the real song or the radio drop in cdq...
but as for blueberry indo,
YEESSSSS!!! I hated the way the doggfather version sounded. and we get a 40 second plus intro that is unreleased with sam sneed (producer for blueberry indo) doing some adlibs in the beginning. I can't wait. This will be amazing.
THANKS WIDEAWAKE!!!! PLz release get fucked up!!!
peep my post last week lol these 2 songs are all i think about:
I am just dying to hear blueberry indo in cdq the way it should sound. The doggyfather had that weird 7 day theory grimey sound ruining it.
Anyone, mikeOG? have a good rip of indo blueberry, the one from the tracklisting.
You can hear Sam Sneed , say " Ugh" in the beginning. This song in cdq needs to be heard :)
my non cdq version: http://www.zshare.net/audio/83681185ee343296/ (http://www.zshare.net/audio/83681185ee343296/)
and dont forget the classic radio drop "get fucked/funked up" with a great classic death row intro:
http://www.zshare.net/audio/836813680b2da584/ (http://www.zshare.net/audio/836813680b2da584/)
In all honesty I doubt these 2 songs will ever get released, but I still want to hear them!
Is Get Funked Up an actual song they made a 92.3 version for the show that day, and kept the studio version (probably with the same wballz intro) shelved?
I think everyone who reads this article and loves real death row history should BUMP these, the first is Sam Sneed producing for the Finale track on the actual lbc album.
please feel free to post better rips ;)
i think blueberry indo is the ULTIMATE song to promote this lbc , sam sneed, batch of releases, you have snoop saying sam sneed on a lbc track, its like it is 1995 all over agian. I am happy as hell, and to me this is the promo!
-
hell yeah! finally looks like a solid release from WA

"Droppin Bombz" was on "The Show" OST, that was released back in '95. "Party People" is a Snoop Dogg song, "Get Fucked Up" was just a radio drop they did 92.3 The Beat. "Usual Suspects" is also a Snoop Dogg song, it and "Party People" were both on Death Row's Best Of Snoop Doggy Dogg CD.

12. Funk Wit Yo Brain
(Tray Deee, McGruff, Mahallia Franklin, K.V., Snoop Doggy Dogg / Salim H. Grant, Bo Rocc, Snoop Doggy Dogg, K.V.)

this seems to be an alternate to the track that was on death row - the lost sessions vol. 1, but with Tray Dee

-
The admin at the official Death Row forum just confirmed that Gangsta Swang is Jacca's Reuinion. 8)
-
Yeah man, the whole reason Gangsta Swang got known as Flossin OG is because when the leak of Gangsta Swang came out on the net I named it that because the line up looked similar to that in the CD insert for Flossin for the Havent U Heard album. It was never official, I just thought it could have been Flossin OG, and so I called it that, and that is how it started getting named on bootlegs and stuff.
-
Can anyone share the lbc crew tracks from 96 can't seem to find any online only seen them on YouTube but looking for a rar link with the tracks ?
-
could someone post the scans of the original cd please...the cd liner showing the songs and everything

-
yup..wonder if we have ever heard One 213 before. looks interesting
-
I think they should have put something else on here in place of Baby Come Home but I"m not complaining. Hopefully there will be bonus tracks also.
-
kind of pointless to put the songs on there that were already released properly

don't you have some of those songs in proper quality then?

So does someone actually have that Advance CD from back in the day? Not saying they should spoil the Wideawake release, but now's the time that shit usually gets leaked. At least One 2 1 3 may get leaked out one day soon??
-

that don't make sense to force the leak, support the project and we'll get more releases like this in the future.

none of that songs are in cdq! most of them was ripped from a cassette and some dudes on the net just fixed it right. that's not cdq... this release will be dope. it's cool that they put out the original lbc crew album without new tracks.

man this is looking to be the best release of the past 10 years! I sure hope they don't fuck up the sound and mastering.
-
can't fuckin' wait
well no new tracks! a 90's album like we want! lets see the mastering now!
-
Get Fucked Up is Doggfather's Disciple
If this is true then this album will be perfect. I am so fucking hyped for this shit. As long as the mixing and mastering are on point then this will easily be the best album of 2011.
-
where the fuck is 2pac on Out the moon lol
they took off the dopest verse lmao
-
So does someone actually have that Advance CD from back in the day?
no

They first appeared on either G-Locc or Playa P's death row site back in like 98. I think they said they were given to them by somebody else. There's good reason to believe they're real because a majority of the tracks weren't leaked at that time and those credits are pretty damn exact with everything that has leaked since then.
I can't believe they didn't include any new tracks but I'm not gonna bitch. I'd rather have the album in pretty much original form like they have here. Seriously cannot wait for this shit. I was kinda let down by Sneed but this release will make up for it big time. Like ACGrundy said, I hope they don't fuck up the mixing and mastering. I'm guessing most of the album was already mixed for release so that's a good sign. The couple LBC Crew tracks WA has released so far don't sound perfect, but they sound a lot better than most of the stuff they have released so far so that's a good sign.
-

Lil C-Style got X'd from the Crew, so Snoop put Pac on there instead for the GRIDLOCK'd OST..

Possibly but it might just be part of a pre-existing contract with Death Row from when the album was recorded.

so is this gon have newly recorded tracks or not? some people are sayin yes and some no......

so is this gon have newly recorded tracks or not? some people are sayin yes and some no......
Well, it's weird because they were actually playing new LBC Crew tracks on the Wideawake/Death Row website, fairly recently. But it looks like those tracks won't appear on this album. Maybe they're saving them for a second album. Really, I'm glad they're not including the new songs with the old ones. The new songs were sounding good, but I'd rather they release the original project in its original form.

only 2 new LBC Crew-tracks so far. one full, and one snippet..
also im pretty sure this is not the original form of teh album.. just a compilation.
the original form doesnt exists, cus there were tracks missing. Lil C-style destroyed some songs..
the fact, that a dedication to a radio-dj (exclusive for his show), is featured on this release - makes it even more obvious..
plus, the advacne-tracklisting differs..

yeah its pretty odd to include that fresstyle "track" if you will...but anyway im just glad its all og shit...i think they scrapped the new idea cause they learned fairly quickly what NOT to do once they seen all the negative feedback from sneed situation..

I hope you're right. In fact, I hope they fix the Sam Sneed album by restoring it to the real "Street Scholars" before releasing it. I would be fine with supporting a new Sam Sneed or LBC Crew album, but I would much rather they keep the new and old projects separate.
-
hopefully LBC Crew will later release full new studio album too
-
First people hope the radio drop will be on the album and now people are not happy that it's on the album. There's always somethin' to bitch about.

I just wan't it to be full of classic era stuff. Everything that was recorded during those sessions is worth hearing. And some good credits/booklet.
-
it will be a glorious day when this is finally released and is in perfect audio quality (crossing my fingers).
seriously, this has been my most wanted album for 15 straight years. wondered if it would ever see the light of day. good things come to those who wait I guess...VERY happy they scrapped the old + new formula and kept it all OG...
also looking forward to Big C-style's release too!

they took off the dopest verse lmao
Did they possibly add Pac later and he did not appear on the OG?
yeah that very well may be the case but Pac's verse was also a radio edit verse (no swears) so I assume they have a dirty one
-
so is this gon have newly recorded tracks or not? some people are sayin yes and some no......
Well, it's weird because they were actually playing new LBC Crew tracks on the Wideawake/Death Row website, fairly recently. But it looks like those tracks won't appear on this album. Maybe they're saving them for a second album. Really, I'm glad they're not including the new songs with the old ones. The new songs were sounding good, but I'd rather they release the original project in its original form.
snippets, or full songs?
only 2 new LBC Crew-tracks so far. one full, and one snippet..
also im pretty sure this is not the original form of teh album.. just a compilation.
the original form doesnt exists, cus there were tracks missing. Lil C-style destroyed some songs..
the fact, that a dedication to a radio-dj (exclusive for his show), is featured on this release - makes it even more obvious..
plus, the advacne-tracklisting differs..
be grateful for what you are getting. we are getting a lottt of songs in cdq that we did not have in cdq. and some of these are totally unheard.
also, this tracklisting is pretty similar to tracklisting of the advance.
there are like 2 songs form the advance that aren't on this album, and i think that they are on the 19th street compilation coming out at the same time.
yea, the radio drop is going to be on the album. and that radio drop just so happens to be fucking sick. can't wait to hear it in cdq.
also, this has been covered before - lil c style destroyed a few tapes, ok, but backups of every song are kept. backup dat's, backup cds, all of that...

excuse me, sir - how do u assume im ungrateful? what r u talkin about?
i was just sayin - taht there isnt any LBC Crwe-album.. just a bunch of seperate songs from differwent sessions. thsi WideAwake-release is just a mish-mash , consisting of different LBC Crew-sessions.. nothing more.

aight aight, my bad. i assumed too much, lol.
maybe there wasn't an LBC Crew album exactly recorded and set for release.
But 'Haven't You Heard' was a real album, that was really set for release. Are you saying that was more a Snoop compilation album than an LBC Crew album?
-
I really don't see what the big deal is. Whether or not Haven't You Heard was a Doggystyle Records compilation or an LBC Crew album, the album that we are getting is closest to the Haven't You Heard tracklisting as possible. Flossn', Beware of My Crew, Hit Rocks and Doggystyle '96 have all been properly released so why put them on the new album when we could get different songs in their place that have never been leaked or released in good quality? Yeah, they could've put the original version of Funk Wit Yo Brain with Tray Deee on here but other than that I don't think this release could be any better.

no, im not sayin anything bout that ether. your confused. lol ;)
but, yes..
i guess the project was originally supposed to be a Dogghouse-records introduction at one point --- showcasing "new" talent like Charlie Wilson, LBC Crew etc etc.. hence, the solo-song wit Snoop ("havent u heard")..
but it later became more like a bonafide LBC Crew project..
i remember an interview wit Snoop wit Theo. i have it on audio somewhere..
when Bad azz, Daz and Tech were wit him..

Doggystyle Records. Snoop came up with the Dogg House in 2000 but he had to change it.

Flossn', Beware of My Crew, Hit Rocks and Doggystyle '96 have all been properly released so why put them on the new album when we could get different songs in their place that have never been leaked or released in good quality?
You have a point if the 14 songs they're putting on there fill up the 80 minute limit for a CD -- otherwise, if there's space left over, I would prefer they put the songs you listed on there for completion's sake. To have all the songs on one disc.
-
I'm sure they've got old track listings from the various sessions of the album, I'm hoping it comes out like they intended it to sound in 1996/97.

I'd rather them put some more unreleased tracks on there to fill up the disc. There are still more LBC Crew songs in the vault.
-
After the album comes out these LBC Crew tracks will still be unreleased...

its not like there is a lbc crew-album to begin with - so if WideAwake wamts to put out a LBC crew-compilation -- why fuck it up like teh previous releases, by including bunch of old stuff...
then again - just like god, canadians works in mysterious ways..

Anyone know where that 2pac verse came from that appeared on the Gridlock'd Soundtrack? It obviously wasn't recorded specifically for this song, plus it was a clean verse, so maybe it was meant for a single for a future album?
-
I take it there's also an unreleased version of "Funk Wit Yo Brain" with Tray D on it as well.
