I'm counting about 7 songs that already leaked on this project are there more or am I missing some.

Anyway, I can't wait for this project it's been so long since we had a full length album from these guys.

From what I have heard so far, this album is a real banger.

Standout tracks are Deepeegee (I call this "Do Whut I Feel 2009"), Rollin' in a droptop and money fold'n but I have not heard everything.

Looking forward to the track with Roscoe and really hoping it is not the same song as "Get It" from Digital Smoke, that will be dissapointing.

Meh,if someone sends me a link ill listen to it otherwise I wont even waste my time looking for it.Daz and kurupt fell off so hard they make snoop look good which is saying a lot.I used to be huge fans of all three, but anyone who cant accept that they suck now is just lying to themself

I have heard already half of the album and most of the tracks that have leaked/has been released are tight. I think I'ma buy this album soon.

Post by: G-Bee on November 20, 2009, 04:41:08 AM
There are tight tracks on here, but it's no album imo, just a collection of tracks if you know what I mean. A good album feels like a journey, with a beginning and an end. This is more like a compilation, which is too bad because with some more effort put into it, this could be a solid album.

On another note, Kurupt begins to annoy me man.... same old shit and he sounds bored as hell. Daz is not bringing anything new to the table either, but at least he sounds hyped.

one dead giveaway to know when something leaks is when multiple people on forums are talking about that they've got it.
there might be 1 or possibly 2 as.sholes who are talking shyt, but if there's a handful of people saying they've got it, then chances are its for sure out there.
its just a matter of being able to find it. once its leaked through small channels, it only take a couple days for it to be found everywhere

It has alot of guests but both of them are lyrically sharp on this pretty much from beginning to end. Kurupt has 2 or 3 songs on here were he is goin in on that beat. Love Saga Continues also but this album is bangin IMO.

I would say at least 6 were definitely meant to be on 100 Wayz. The others yeah I have no idea. But Snoop is now overseeing 100 Wayz so I am sure they wanted to start fresh on the project.

Yeah, i think so too. "That Was Then, This Is Now" is fuckin tight though, i'll be buyin' the record. Actually Tha Dogg Pound hasn't really even released albums that could be called wack or garbage, except for "Tha Last Of Tha Pound" though and that was just a collection of old unreleased tracks. "Cali Iz Active" had some "mainstream" tracks that DPG usually don't make but they wasn't that bad, that album gets too much hated on.

CIA had a couple tracks I was not a big fan of but if you added the unreleased tracks that were meant for the album, it would have been even better. Dogg Chit was good and I even like Last Of The Pound, that had some lyrical classics on it.

CIA had a couple tracks I was not a big fan of but if you added the unreleased tracks that were meant for the album, it would have been even better.

Aahh CIA !
Though I had ordered it @ hiphopwest with those 3 or 4 bonus tracks, I had received my copy w/o any bonus songs on it,  >:(

could someone link these tracks in 192kbps audio quality plz? thx  :P

True. It's more of a compilation than the actual DPG album but it's really good when it comes to quality in 2009 rap game..

Highlights: Rollin' In A Drop Top, Get Paid, MOney Fold'n, Tha Liquor Store, Westside Rydin', Y'all Know What I'm Doin' and Get My Drink On

Garbage tracks: How Low, They Don't Want It and Cheat

Overall I rate this album 3,5/5.

It was supposed to come out last tuesday but I have not been to Best Buy yet to see if they have it.

I have been to 2 different FYEs in the past week and didn't happen to see it in there, and damn Amazon barely has anything on the album, even has it listed as a "single"  :-\

http://www.amazon.com/That-Was-Then-This-Now/dp/B002X5FFIM/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1259642238&sr=8-13

love DPG but the marketing/promotion for this album is awful, how do they expect to even make money back if nobody knows the album is out there? I mean it's cool and all I guess if they are selling it themselves and still gettin' money, but still it deserves to be on the charts and what not since the quality of the music is good

I will pick this up if I hit Best Buy tomorrow after I cash my check  8)

I think Daz is wanting to sell more hard copies directly from him but no offense I am not buying anything from him directly. And only having Public Enemiez for digital dl as long as he did without also having hard copies hurt sales as well.

yeh, its pretty fukked up. daz said before that he was working on gettin the hard copies/cd's of "public enemiez" & "that was then this is now" albums released on amazon for december, but it doesnt look like it will end up happening anytime soon.

daz is already talkin about releasing the 100 ways album when he hasnt even fixed up his issues of distribution for his other cd's yet.
i mean that's great that he's releasing all this music, which is dope, but there's alot of people who would like to get hard copies of his new cd's but cant, and daz is not making the profits that he could if his distribution avenues were fixed up.
