Hahahahhahahhahahhahahahahah Now Thats Comedy - HOW IN THE NAME OF GOD Can "Benjamins" Be A Better Beat Than Deep Cover?! - Then Again Its The Source, Theyve Stopped Surprising Me Anymore....Thing Is In That List They Overlook About 50 Beats Better Than Most Of That Shit! >:(
-
Dannmm!!
The Source is showing it's horn's like crazy.
This Envy of the West has to stop.
It's just funny when we watch Video's on T.V. cause 90% of the shitt they do (East) on the video's is our (Cali) Lifestyle. And they Trying to discredit.
It's all good....for instance: We all know where the Lo LO's began, but watching BET...you'd bet they were some East or South ish....cause last time I checked We ain't getting no air time.
Ain't they are Illegal where they stay at...lol
Jacket wearing cold azz mutha'z.
I ain't never heard of dub's on a subway.....oh yeah and how the fucc are u gonna bump on headphones....lol
They should have named this "list" the top headphone track's of all-time. Cause the East ain't got street's to cruise in.
What the Fuck does the East Coast Know bout that.....bumpin'.
Must be tested out in Cali......while blowing in the wind in order to get anything poppin'.
Shittt we even bump the East shitt better than they ever will....lol
All in my opinion
Hatesrats 2oo2

Well, I guess they wanted to keep everything even, with one track from each top producer (except with Marley who had 2).
Most of the best are represented:
Dre, Primo, Marley, Pete Rock, Havoc, Rza, Tribe, Bombsquad, Timbo, 45 King, Erick Sermon, Rick Rubin
Shocked they didn't put any Outkast/Organized Noize material.
And odd that they put Triumph and those two Jay-Z tracks. If they going to put Rza, Timbo and Swizz Beatz, they have better beats to choose from than those three.
-
>:(
The west has definitely been robbed, I cound name classic west coast beats for days, I am just too pissed right now >:(
-
That list is disgusting >:(

Oct 2002?
Its still september here 8)

Nigga What, Nigga Who is a good beat, but by no means better than T.R.O.Y. And Sucka Mc's is a rip off of an Mantronixxx beat. Anyway, The Sauce deserves its name.
-
Ya know... >:( ::)
Who the fuck brought flavor to the rap game? Before Dr. Dre hip-hop beats were fucking drums N bass. That's it.
I cannot beleive the list those sorry people over @ The SOurce came up with.
How can they not have "Still D-R-E" or "Forgot About Dre" on there!?
I don't care what anyone says...but I haven't even heard "The SHow." And I never will, along with most of those other songs.
-
This is laughable. I wouldn't even consider "Deep Cover" Dre's best beat, but he could of filled that list alone, lol. But, I guess The Source are entitled to their own opinion, even though it's usually biased as fuck :P
-
I don't care what anyone says...but I haven't even heard "The SHow." And I never will, along with most of those other songs.
I would never call it the best beat ever, but that beat is dope (real old school).
-
blaaaah...cough cough....thats me pucking after looking at this list...what a bunch of biased garbage
-
let's put this in perspective, shall we?
Dear Source readers,
I have come to the conclusion that the beat from "All about the Benjamins" is a better beat than any beat from Doggystyle, Chronic, 2001, Dogg Food, any 2pac album, any Eminem album, any Outkast album, and many, many more. By the way, i like to make a lot of sense when i put these lists together.
Love,
really smart source list-maker guy.

By the way, i'd also like to add that I actually like the beat from Benjamins better than all those other beats I mentioned above, and yet the magazine that pays me to come up with this crap still manages to call itself a leading hip-hop magazine.
Love,
smart guy from the source again.
-
Even I no more hot beats than them.
-
I would never call it the best beat ever, but that beat is dope (real old school).
One of hip hop's greatest songs ever! The Inspector Gadget beat had me wildin' when I was a young'n.
*6 minutes Doug E. Fresh your on...*
CLASSIC!
Most of that list is trash but they have some good choices too.
-
WTF
Thats fuckin BS
-
this shit is just S A D
-
They need to replace the Special Ed one with "Freaky Flow" instead, and put in more Dre shit in there.
-
To me the most surprising thing about this is so many people bein surprised about things in The Source ::)
-
The list is definitely very dated as many people on here are too young to understand how "THE Show" could be number one. I woulda had it top 10, but not number one....
-
LMAO word
ROFL @ only one dre beat bein in there
LOL ..
-
Every topic about the Source should be removed to "Outbound Connection" cuz I dont see a lot of West Coast Beats in this list...
Juvenile Ha... Better then Big Tymers's #1 Stunna? Am... ok...
-
Juvenile Ha... Better then Big Tymers's #1 Stunna? Am... ok...
I'm sure they considered that "Ha" was their biggest hit and put Cash Money on the map, and showed the mainstream Mannie Fresh's production style which "#1 Stunna" didn't do.
-
shits whaccccccckkkk
-
Yes alot of that ish started in the west i admit it
BUT saying we got no streets to bump em in is bias
NYC has mad spots to cruise in
NJ looks like california in the south /central part of NJ
and it has beaches and mad spots to cruise in so fuck you
hating ass niggas cause most of u who hating never seen cali
and aint from the west so eat a dick and for those who
jus mad that the east discredits the west i got love for ya'll
cause u right that ish started in the west but
NOW in the east there is that lifestyle and peeps do live
that lifestyle so eat a dick haterz and much love
for the westcoast niggas who support wit out the hate
and YES fuck the source they bias as fuck
-
woah calm down tough guy no body was talking to u
anyway that list is wack
-
I thought the list was o.k. i thought nuthin but a g thang was dre's best beat. i don't think you can have a true #1 beat of all time. maybe just the best 25 beats of all time would have been better, and by the way "all about the bengamins" is a tight ass beat. the Ha beat would not have been on my list but hey that's the source opion.
-
Yes alot of that ish started in the west i admit it
cause u right that ish started in the west
What "ish" started in the west?

HA WAS A TIGHT BEAT...BUT DRAG EM IN THA RIVER WAS THE HARDEST CASH MONEY BEAT EVER...EVEN JUVENILE TRIED TO ROCK IT ON HIS PROJECT ENGLISH ALBUM...BUT ONLY UNLV COULD RIP THAT SHIT...AND WHERE WAS BOUT IT BOUT IT?...WHERE WAS NEW YORK NEW YORK?....WHERE WAS THE BRIDGE IS OVER?....WHERE WERE SO MANY GREAT BEATS?...BULLSHIT AS LIST...SURE ITS EAST COAST BIAS..BUT THEY LEFT OUT ALOT OF BETTER EAST COAST BEATS....
