The Early Years is the upcoming posthumously released album from the late hip hop icon Tupac Shakur. It will contain some of Shakur's first songs recorded in 1989. The collection of songs was originally released in 2000, but due to legal issues surrounding the recordings, it was discontinued. The album will feature 10 songs featuring Shakur's early crew, including Shock G and Humpty Hump of Digital Underground. The album is produced by Digital Underground member Chopmaster J.
Confirmed songs include "The Case of The Misplaced Mic", "Minnie The Moocher" and "Never Be Beat".
Rumored songs include: Panther Power, Let Knowledge Drop, A Day in the Life, My Burnin' Heart, The Case of the Misplaced Mic II, Static Mix I, and Static Mix II.
