First off. I dont get why people sackride shit like they have vested interest or a profit participation in either company so lol @ you guys.
Second. We are talking about HD Movie transfers. What format fits best for the media it is being used for primarily. HD FILM
BLU RAY is costing the end consumer more because it has extra expense involved in producing something which stores more space. HDDVD allows the SAME DAMN quality of film to be seen at a cheaper price than Blu Ray.
Some argue "oh but we'll need that extra space in the future" "why think small" Here's an idea...if you truly argue this about storing capacity, you are retarded. You are telilng me that you would rather stand by and BURN all of your gigs of shit rather than just drag and drop into a flash drive which is cleary the future of media "storage" including Film itself. GTFO of here with that shit.
This is the problem with our fucking country. Even the idiots that are smart enough to think outside the box, are only thinking outside of the box within a certain field, which still harms the fucking larger scope.
Just like Obama, Clinton, McCain. SAME FUCKING THING. CFR and pushing the fucking North American Union. 2. blu ray offers better picture and sound than hd dvd when projected on a 1080p screen. i've tested it on my tv's in my department and it's far superior. the only time where they look the "same" is on a 26/27 inch or smaller 720p screen.
3. flash memory is not the future, it's the present,lol. however there are avenues where a high storage disc work BETTER together than by themselves or with an HD dvd.
ie .....video cameras, home movies ect. it's like i tell customers who come in wanted to buy a video camera ....buy the storage video cameras. you get 30+ gigs of starge video space and you can transfer them onto your computer and burn them onto a blue ray later for hard copies.
why anyone would want an hd dvd over a blu ray is beyond me , but i'm standing by blu ray.

Finally some knowledge.
1st. The difference is almost unrecognizable by the lay audience which is, lets face it 95%+ of the audience
2nd. I wasn't implying that flash specifically is the future format. But there are numerous and more efficient ways of storing high volumes of data.
