im really diggin that kanye west album. went to the goldcoast for a weeks holiday, was pretty much the only thing i listened to

but why the fuck do europeans say "i'm going on holiday" .......i can't even go into detail how wrong and weird that sounds. maybe i'm just ignorant but isn't a holiday an observed day that every one has off (for example Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving) as opposed to a vacation which is a personal day or days off.
again no offense but it's just weird, it's like saying "i'm giving a dump" as opposed to saying "i'm taking a Dump" to me.

Many Europeans with basic English skills thinks that holiday & vacation is synonyms..
And I bet some Americans with poor English skills may think the same.
Many people don't even know that holiday is the words holy & day combined..
