Yo.. I know I'm way late, but I just now heard Rakim's "After You Die" and I was really impressed, I also remember hearing a similar track on Busta Rhymes album? Is that right? It wasn't nothin compared to Rakim's version.
Correct?
-
indeed
-
Bustas version was dope, but yes your correct Rakims was WAYYY better
-
indeed
-
anyone got a link
-
i disagree. When I heard the Rakim version last year I thought it came off soft. Busta's version came off very grimm and Dre added the sample to make it real stylish.
-
Rakim is a far better mc (the greatest, imo)... but Busta's song was far superior.... from the concept, the execution, the creativity and the hook.

I love Rakims track, it's sick as fuck IMO! The lyrics are great, and I fuckin' love the way he flows, and how he starts rapping "in the middle of the bar"..
Busta's track wasn't all that...
-
i like rakims version but bustas chorus sounded alot creepier and thats the style im in to
personally i prefer busta's version
-
Bustas version is dope but IM SHOCKED that anyone would say its better than Rakims
