Title: Krizz Kaliko-Genius
Post by: Jaydc555 on July 15, 2009, 11:29:13 AM
Just picked up my copy listening to it now.Only at track 6 but I'm loving it so far. This guys talent is so incredible.Speaking of track 6 this song is an r and b song with tech and their both great singers.

His first album was good but not as good as it could have been.It was too much of a strange music formula album, which isn't a bad thing by any means. But this album you can tell he had a lot more freedom. But vitiligo is good.I'd give it a solid 7 out of 10.

krizz kaliko's first album is dope, 7 is fair i guess, could have been much better
but its bangin, some traxx should have been left off and replaced wit the leftovers
this album now, sounds different and more of that crossover strange muzik they be doin, which isnt bad but let me give it a listen

i was just reading this crazy article about him and they interview him talking about how he almost killed himself. His long time gf broke up with him and he decided to kill her and himself and he got dressed up grabbed his gun and went to girls house and walked up to her window and at the last moment changed his mind.He went home and his mum was waiting on his porch and demanded the gun.I can't even imagine how life was growing up with vitiligo.Someone who actually has it and doesn't make it up like mj.When mj said that bullshit it was a spit to the face of the people who actually have to deal with it

yeah im not sure bout the whole mj thing of him havin it, didnt mj change his skin color? lol

Mj said he had the disease and that's why his skin turned white. But that's the disease krizz has that's why he has those white patches of skin on his face
Title: Re: Krizz Kaliko-Genius

Nah that's not right. If you have acid thrown on your face it would do a lot more then leave white patches.I used to work as a production manager at a chemical company that made cleaning products and I've dealt with every acid. One acid even has fumes that are corosive. They made a hand cleaner that contained both acid and caustic soda but you balance the ph so that it isn't corrosive.

yeah its not bad, but its below average
his first album was more of his version of what tech did wit everready
EVERREADY IS CLASSIC IMO
good thing bout krizz, is he can adjust to many styles but this was off
and for the most part krizz usually shines on features or traxx that dont make the final cut

damn jay you was feelin this more than his first......thats crazy lol

His first CD just felt like another strange music album this one felt more like his album.Though I think the second half of the album isn't as good as the first half

My favorite track off his first album was slow down
Title: Re: Krizz Kaliko-Genius
Post by: you gon always be my latin queen bitch on July 17, 2009, 07:29:06 PM
yeah his singin/rappin is dope
but nah the reason i ask is cuz sounds like tech's goin at heads (lil wayne wit the fake gang bangin lol)

rockin my slippers.....

lately alotta N*ggaz really got alot to say
they flaggin it up with red, with bandanas on their head but back in the day
reppin ricket my N*ggaz was wit me and quik to spray
and cross em out and put a k we crew cuttin fakers on any day

Yeah that joint was good.I like it when krizz sings he's got a better voice then most r and b singers.

Yeah sounds like a diss.So what songs weren't you feeling off the album?only tracks I didn't care for was back pack,so high, shell do.Couple of mediocre tracks like hum drum and happy birthday.I loved the rest though.
Title: Re: Krizz Kaliko-Genius
Post by: you gon always be my latin queen bitch on July 17, 2009, 08:16:56 PM
yeah sounds like hes goin at someone lol

but nah im not feelin this genius album, maybe a couple traxx but thats it, it sounds way too different than his material as a whole
it doesnt sound like him, thats how much he changed IMO
i dont see me changin my mind bout it either lol
seems like it was rushed or something
no member in their crew comes close to puttin together a good album as good dope as tech does, and they use the same producers, but it jus shows tech's talent
not that the others arent but techs on another level
THA LA COKA album is better than this album IMO, and that album could have been better
the sickology 101 could have been better too
Title: Re: Krizz Kaliko-Genius
Post by: Jaydc555 on July 17, 2009, 08:35:16 PM
It sounds different because his first album felt like a tech n9ne album this albums feel a krizz kaliko album.Except for the second half that strays back into tech because he's featured on a bunch of tracks.Tech is a great artist but for Me I like krizz better.
Title: Re: Krizz Kaliko-Genius
Post by: you gon always be my latin queen bitch on July 17, 2009, 08:41:33 PM
yeah its got more of a club feel to it, not so much rap
more of a hip-hop album wit a 3 stacks/cee-lo type of feel to it
which isnt bad, but jus not feelin it
was lookin forward to the first album feel
Title: Re: Krizz Kaliko-Genius
Post by: Now_Im_Not_Banned on July 17, 2009, 10:11:03 PM
you think Krizz Kaliko is better than Tech? LOL
Title: Re: Krizz Kaliko-Genius
Post by: Jaydc555 on July 17, 2009, 10:19:43 PM
Yes I do.He's a better singer and can switch up his vocals even more then tech can.And techs albums have been ok but none of them are very consistent usually with lots of filler.
Title: Re: Krizz Kaliko-Genius
Post by: you gon always be my latin queen bitch on July 18, 2009, 12:02:47 PM
well to each is own, but overall noone can fuck wit tech
now krizz would come close, cuz his talent is crazy and he can switch it up unlike many can
but techs albums have been dope especially absolute power and everready
but of course wit krizz help (hes on damn near half of each tech's albums, if not more)
killer could have been better, but everready might be classic one day, that album is insane like

LOL...what are you talkin about? Krizz might be more musical, but Tech shits on Krizz as far as lyrical skill and rapping goes...and Tech has had classic albums, so i dunno wtf you're talkin about as far as "his albums have been ok". "Calm Before The Storm", "The Worst", and "Anghellic" were all classics..."Absolute Power" and "Celcius" were great..."Killer" and "Everready" were also pretty good. Can't really compare Tech to Krizz. Tech is pretty much an icon in the hip-hop game...PeACe

lol, i dont think you realize what tech n9ne is to midwest hiphop....come on, my dude. calm before the storm and anghellic are definitely considered classics...songs like "mitchell bade", "questions", "einstein", "psycho bitch", "its alive", "twisted", etc are timeless tracks

Find Me single review that calls those albums classics
Title: Re: Krizz Kaliko-Genius
Post by: you gon always be my latin queen bitch on July 20, 2009, 05:29:03 PM
yeah his earlier he was goin thru more, so IMO he sounds "more mad" but everready is crazy and to me is his best
but those traxx you mentioned IMO are classic, and bangin but IMO celcius isnt classic
IMO he has specific traxx that might be more of classics vs his entire albums
but listen to everready again, that album as a whole vs the others are crazy

i meant calm before the storm, not celcius...my bad lol....and i dont needa find reviews calling it classic. u cant find reviews that call brotha lynch hung's season of da siccness classic either....doesnt mean it isnt. hiphop classics are defined by a mixture of impact, quality, and taste. if you have a taste for tech's music, you know he's put out at least 1 classic.
Title: Re: Krizz Kaliko-Genius

and type "anghellic classic" in a google search to see that people very well do refer to it as a classic

I own all of his albums.None are classic and none have impacted the game at all.For raw tools he's light years ahead of most emcees but that doesn't mean he can make great albums

none have impacted the game? LOL....wow. tech is basically the most respected rapper to ever come out of KC. hes done so much for midwest hiphop. get your shit straight, man....tech is respected in the game and hes done a gang of work with legends, from quincy jones to 2pac. he's definitely made an impact on hiphop with some of his earlier work, and to say otherwise is just foolish.

nah i feel what jay is sayin and nik
and thats what im sayin, which is tech has released albums unlike many
but the albums that hes released have been a lil all over the place
but those same albums that have been all over the place, but i mean what some of those traxx have done alotta traxx havent done
tech's muzik is like therapy cuz hes a "fuck tha industry" type and to me theres nuthin better than that
but yeah what hes done for the muzik game alotta rappers havent, its jus hes been on the underground radar for so long, hes unnoticed
IMO vintage tech
anghellic (maybe)
everreadyabsolute power
those albums in blue have classic material more-so than the others overall

it depends what you call better
like you said your more into techno so your feelin this 1 more
im feelin the first one, cuz its more rap
first overall is a better album IMO as in "bangin"
this is bangin in the sense of it bein a "more techno" album
and im not sayin this is wack, but it could have been better

nah nik dont get it twisted
im one of the biggest tech fans
of course ive heard his older albums, but IMO they arent as well put together as a whole like everready and absolute power
im talkin as a whole package like those 2 are
but like i was sayin the older albums as far as heat roccs, hes got em (bangers)
IMO his style on them albums fit him more
tech isnt a everyday rapper like the regular rapper out there
i listen to more tech than any westcoast artist prolly (tech and strange releases)
