The Game is the hottest thing going for the West right now so of course when his album leaks west coast heads are gonna peep it!!
The Game has to be considered one of the best "hip-hop" artists out right now. He has put in his dues and proved that with or without Dre and 50 he can STILL put out some hot ass albums and STILL get airplay coast to coast!!

im half way through the album and none of the songs yet are standing out to me. The beats are meh, and the lyrics are the same as his last 2 albums. Same gangbanging, name dropping shit.
atleast ice cube had some bangin beats to cruise to in the whip.

In the sales game. The problem I have is Game doesn't use his success to promote west artists, he has no proteges, he doesn't put BWS artists on his releases, and no one associated with him who he's brought up, has had success. He's done nothing for the west other then selling albums for himself. Look at who Snoop's brought into the mainstream, look who Dre's put up, Cube, etc. If Game wants to call himself the king of the west, he needs to start promoting his own artists into the mainstream. He's done a lot for himself, and nothing for the west. Simple as that.

Tru buddy, good points. But Snoop, Dre, and 50 have been in the game for quite some time longer...well maybe not 50, but Dre and Snoop fo sure. Now check it out, Game put out 2 extremely dope albums and I haven't heard the new one yet but I bet it will be bangin' and guess what....it's gonna be his last solo (good chance). And as he said, he's gonna be doing his studio shit, his Dr. Dre shit. He's not a producer or big business man yet but he will pump some new names out soon. And i'd take a collab with him and Eiht over another new guy 9 times out of 10. If anyone doesn't get my shit here, probably should listen to that radio interview that was posted a few moons back.

but this forum is mostly filed with nerdy wet dog smellin honkys (some of em like to wear costumes from movies) so it doesnt represent the streets in Cali..they love Game there;)

people are always gonna be swept up with the hype and popular opinion. around here that is that game is the truth. there are a LOT of diehard game fans on this forum as well as the majority who will ride the hype. well, the truth is that he's alright but his lyrics have always been average at best. having said that he knows how to pick good beats, has a strong delivery and has collabs with some of the tightest rappers. for those reasons his music is generally very entertaining. his simple, funky rhymes are a good throwback and he's a rapper i'd always check for.
however, to make any kind of statements about any of his albums being amazing or classics (even his first one) is over the top. i guess it depends what kind of standards you have. as far as new music coming out he's cool though.

word, DA was stictly westcoast. Game just gets better with his albums though. at one point i heard this was his last album, has that changed?
IMO, whoever featured on the track, he tried to jack their flow. thats what i heard listening to this. its awsome though.

game is definately not the best rapper out right now. anyone thinking that is just a lil too excited about his new cd and just needs to relax and stop jumping to conclusions.
im half way through the album and none of the songs yet are standing out to me. The beats are meh, and the lyrics are the same as his last 2 albums. Same gangbanging, name dropping shit.
atleast ice cube had some bangin beats to cruise to in the whip.

The problem I have is Game doesn't use his success to promote west artists, he has no proteges, he doesn't put BWS artists on his releases, and no one associated with him who he's brought up, has had success. He's done nothing for the west other then selling albums for himself. Look at who Snoop's brought into the mainstream, look who Dre's put up, Cube, etc. If Game wants to call himself the king of the west, he needs to start promoting his own artists into the mainstream. He's done a lot for himself, and nothing for the west. Simple as that.
