I've been to mexico and canada. both were fub. but how is most Americans not having a passport surprising? flights are expensive, vacations period are expensive. im not sure if you're aware, but we're not located right next to a bunch of other countries so the need for having one isn't that great

I go to the states a few times a year and I don't have a passport.  We don't need them between Canada/US (for another 2 years anyway)

I went to Niagara Falls in Canada last year and I felt like I was in a third world country. Everywhere I looked there were Indians, Pakistanis, Arabs, etc  walking around in their strange clothes and speaking their strange languages. It definitely didn't feel like North America. On the positive side, I won alot of money at Casino Niagara.

As for most Americans not having passports and not traveling to other countries that much, you are right. You have to understand that the US is a huge country and that we have oceans on each side of us. So any travel to another country is probably going to be a very far trip and thus an expensive trip. It isn't like Europe where all the countries are so small and you can go from one to another very easily and very quickly.

Don Rizzle, I know you made this topic to portray Europeans as being so much more cultured and enlightened than those ignorant and unsophisticated Americans. But you have to use some common sense before you make stupid posts like this.

You are wrong if u think I was trying to portray americans as culturally ingorant, I even start off casting doubt over the legitimacy of the the statistic. I can also appreciate america is big country which could take a life time to explore, however i'm still find it suprising most that americans don't own a passort, if that is indeed true.

How many Brits have been to America? It's for the same reasons. British people don't go to America so often so why would Americans fly the same distance, more if they're going to other parts of Europe, when they have plenty of places to go on that side of the ocean?

Not really because most British culture is now being dictated by America so the most logical place for fans of it to go is to America. However Americans don't need to leave their country as it is such a different place from the the different coasts, states, cities ect. They even have Canada, as was already mentioned, and the South American countries for different cultures ect.

i believe it that most americans dont' have passports, unless you're traveling abroad it's unecessary. when i visit my grandma in canada all i need is two forms of ID. when i got to mexico....LOL like they check for that.  I have one but that's onyl becuase i took a school trip way back in the day and had to get one.  but like everyone has been saying earlier, americans don't just up and say "i think i'm going to france" the only time i really think americans do all that is either 1) spring/summer vacation 2) family lives there 3) honey mooning 4) win some kind of contest. living in california if people go some where it's usually lake tahoe, hawaii (maybe) las vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego, or some other big city some where within the states, you got to understand that america as whole is probably just as diverse culturally as eurasian continent

It's true about Americans not having passports.  Not only did I not have a passport, I didn't even know what a passport was.  I was a new Muslim, so some good people made an effort to encourage me to go to Hajj back in 2002.  They told me, "the first thing you need to do is get a passport".  At first, I didn't take the offer totally seriously.  But later, Allah put it in my heart that I had to go.  So I called the guy back up and I said, "What was that one thing you told me to get again, what's it called?"

So anyway.  That was me when I was 19.  I've travelled and performed the Hajj in the great city of Mekkah.  Met Muslims from all over the world and shared my experiences with them.  Mekkah is the most amazing place on Earth, it is regulated for worship, and one can focus their whole being upon submission towards Allah and getting closer towards true piety.  It was a challenging trip for me staying overnight in the desert and walking long distances from one city to the next, (do to overcrowding).  However, no one leaves for Hajj thinking about coming back, they sacrifice everything to leave and endure patiently whatever Allah puts in their way.

I also spent brief time in the countries Oman and the Dubai.  Dubia was similar to an American city, but Oman was very different from anything I've experienced.

Never, ever even imply anything negative about AmeriKKKa....whoops, sorry, America, on a message board.  Cause if you do, Real American will rush to its defense to save it from the evil message boards posters.

Yet he won't defend the country he supposed loves in the real world by joining the military for some strange reason.  Hmmmm....

have either of you been in the monterey embassy suites at 3:30am, staring at a philipino gang leader pissed off because his constant bullshitting over a box with 5 good handguns in it not being worth over 2000 is really fucking with your emotions and ruining your night; ready to kill him and throw his body in the ocean? whiteys into some real deep shit and i'll oppress all your communities by selling my families old guns to thugs who will only succeed in terrorizing otherwise decent working class neighborhoods if you try and give me any lip or front like you're righteous. as some negro dr dre said "it's best to do business with me than against me", you will find that many contributors here prosper from being my friend rather than my enemy. Tough talk on the internet is laughable, by reinforcing my racist outlook on your people, you just made me not give a fuck that much less about the business i conduct with them, thanks, i sleep better at night now

As far as I'm concerned, the devil cannot be reformed...that is your nature, regardless of what I do or don't do to influence it.  I could play house nigga and you'd still be that way.

So don't worry...in the end, you're gonna die anyway.  But keep selling us guns, cause we WILL rise up and turn them on you.

Don't worry, we're only selling so that we'll have enough to buy more guns and supplies for the revolution.  It's like Dead Prez and Black Market Militia encouraged us to do: "Get that money, money, money y'all/Support the struggle witcha hustle, y'all."

That's cause we have the Jews' sympathy even though we hate them cats and plan to dump on them, too, when the time's right.  But no, trust me...we've got them kissing our asses just as much as the suburban white liberals.

I'm just interested cos someone told its something like 2/3 of americans don't even have passports, but I dunno if i believe it sounds like bs for one of the richest countries in the world.

Anyway have you ever travaelled outside america? If so where have u been and how many times have u left your country?

Don't be ignorant.  The United States is larger than most of England... so while many Americans haven't travelled outside of the country, travelling from one side of the country to the other is a totally unique experience.   It's easy for you to say living in Holland or wherever the fuck you're from that Americans are homebodies, but there's no need to do much travelling over here.  Plus, where are we going to go, Mexico? Canada? Fuck that.

How many times have you been to Africa?  South America?  For us to go to another country (besides Mexico or Canada) we have to leave the continent, it's not just a 5 or 6 hour flight like it is for you.

Oh, and I forgot to mention... America is of course the greatest country that has ever existed on the face of the earth, regardless of what the mental midgets tell you.... The world comes to us, why do we need to go to it?  The only thing around the world that we want to go see are places that were shown to us in history books, there surely isn't anything current in the world that tops what we have here.  We might fly to England to see the tower of London, or might visit the pyramids in Egypt, but basically anything happening is happening right here in America.  We surely don't need to travel the world to see culture, if you want to meet some british people, just look around there's some here, or africans, or asians, or germans, or russians, or mexicans, or canucks, or australians, or indians, whatever you want we have right here in the states.  We also have some of the most beautiful land in the world, and some of the most beautiful beaches and seas in the world.  The hottest travel location for those that actually do leave america is the carribean area since the beaches down there are nicer than ours.  We don't travel to Europe because we've got everything Europe has somewhere in our country.  Like 96% of America is undeveloped and wild forests and pastures and meadows and shit.... the only reason we travel is to see historical locations in the rest of the ancient world, we've only been making history for 200 years.  The world beats a path to our door, people run across our borders and try to ride rafts across the seas just to set foot on our shores.  We're just like you, we love America and don't even like to leave for a week.
