A Japanese scientist has developed a coat which appears to make the wearer invisible.
The illusion was part of a demonstration of optical camouflage technology at Tokyo University.
It is the brainchild of Professor Susumu Tachi who is in the early stage of research he hopes will eventually make camouflaged objects virtually transparent.
The photograph was taken through a viewfinder that uses a combination of moving images taken behind the wearer to give a transparent effect.
It's hoped the technology will be useful for surgeons frustrated their own hands and surgical tools can block their view of operations and pilots who wish cockpit floors were transparent for landings.

lol your just hatin ;D
"We have a camera behind the person wearing the coat," Mr Tachi told the BBC.
The image from the camera is then projected onto the coat, so that the wearer appears virtually transparent when seen through a viewfinder.
Beforehand "it looks like a grey coat," Mr Tachi said. "But when we project the image onto it we can see a very clear picture of what is projected."
So yeah it's not really a movie.

well he's not invisible and that's suit is just plain stupid...might as well use it for movies
what happens if he stands in front of the sun? no screen can project that amount of light so he's not invisible

It's an intelligence thing. For instance, I see through the guy who started this topic all the time.

If you stood in front of the sun, nobody would see you anyways because of all the light burning their eyes.

^ Well, that's one way to look at it. Another way to look at it would be SOME PEOPLE ARE SMART ENOUGH NOT TO STARE AT THE FUCKING SUN.

who said anything about staring? there's this thing called gravity that makes the ball come back down, so it's only for a few seconds.... i bet you were one of the kids that always blamed their sport follies on the sun.

Invisible ro not, that's still tight.
