This song is getting shitted on over at the JoeBuddenTV forums lol. I agree though it didn't live up the hype, the beat coulda been much more bangin and the ryhmes most DEF coulda been better. They shoulda stayed on topic and talked about "WHACK MC'S" maybe LOL? Overall, good track though, will BANG in the whip obv!!!

Great track....love the beat's old school feel. I think right now this one and "Move On" might be my two favorites.

I think the expectation was set too high ever since the video of the beat snippet leaked back in October. We heard the Wack MCs beat before the Onslaught track leaked. Therefore it's safe to say that this is one of the earliest tracks they recorded together as a group, right after Onslaught, so even though this is the 5th leak, it's probably the 3rd one they recorded together. They just been sitting on it for awhile.
Also, part of Budden's verse was recycled from a freestyle that he spit on Kay Slay's radio show back in January when SlaughterHouse was being interview (minus Crooked) while promoting the SOB's show.
Either way though, it didn't quite live up to the hype, but it's still a tight track. Royce took this one though.

Yah, Joey has had his verse done since like late december, i remember Spyda told me, they were just waiting to get everyone on there then for awhile. But even when it was done they were sittin on it for awhile. Bangin track though!!!

Put it this way, if we hadn't heard the beat snippet, and if Joey wouldn't have spit those bars in that freestyle, and the joint just dropped unexpectedly like it did today, I guarantee you people would've been nut hugging the hell outta this song over at JBTV.

This happens all the time, I used to ruin music like that all the time for myself.
-
like someone said they didnt really keep on topic but the song itself is dope. Think they need to work more as a group and not just be trying to show off their skills. If they can sound like a group with them also rapping crazy then they can drop a classic.

I agree, but as mentioned, this is one of the first tracks they recorded together back in November so the "newness" of the group sorta shows in this track, since they're all over the place. It's still a good track, it just lacks that group chemistry feel to it.
I'm not worried though. They've already let it be known that they'll be working on concept records and trying to elevate their writing game on some next level shit as a group. They've got the right idea though. They've pledged to record in the studio together and not e-mail verses, so that's a HUGE plus.

Doubt they recorded this earlier than the other leaks.Budden even said the song was not done for a while.Plus he wrote that while he was at the radio station. Also Royce disses Jea Hood so no doubt it was recorded in October. They recorded it recently.

Not true, this was originally supposed to leak in January. Budden was on DJ Tony Touch show on Shade 45 on Jan. 25th and told the fans that the next leak was going to be Wack MCs and it was in the process of being mixed down and would leak on Tuesday, Jan. 27th but they ended up sitting on it. Then in another video on JBTV SlaughterHouse was talking together on camera in Detroit after the Nas show and said that Wack MCs was dropping real soon and that show happened on Feb. 6th. So the track had been done for quite awhile, they just sat on it.

can you tell me wtf are they talkin about in their songs ?
for example, the contents of this 'whack mc's' song, since they're not talkin about whack mc's.....
with these kind of mcs,a full album is a risk (like for example sly boogy)
-
I'm not feeling many of the beats they are rapping over. Only 2 out of 5 are good to me. But this one is good so props.

Who is to say that they aren't just spitting right now and dropping "Mixtape" tracks. Your acting as if the four of them never drop topic tracks individually.
-
I know that Roce disses Jae Hood but this line sounds like a shot at Fabolous to me:
"These other lame rappers is broke
they so poor
they got a name Loso
to have a fabolous quote"
Fabolous created an alter ego Loso and his new album is called Loso's way ???

they alredy said that right now theyre just warming up and they have some dope concept for the album.
as if joe, royce and joell arent gonna jump at the oppurtunity to make some crazy concept tracks together, that's what joe and joell do, theyre not really known for just spitting random bars and punches over beats, thats more crooked and royces style but even theyre capable of rapping about a specific topic.
-
royce>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.
show up to the bar where u hang,
shoot up your block like OHHHHHH we pop champagne!!!
hahahah

THIS IS FUCKIN DOPE
DAMN EVERYTIME THEY BRING SOME DOPE SHIT
LOOKS LIKE ROYCE DID SOME CRAZY SHIT
PRODUCTION IS CRAZY

No diss. Just a clever play on words.
-
While I like the song as it is, I still felt it could've been better from a lyrical standpoint.
a) I wish Joe would've spit a brand new verse over it, instead of a verse he had used in previous freestyles.
b) Joell & Crooked should've stuck to the topic of Wack MCs a little better.
c) Crooked sounded too laid back over this beat. Aside from being a bit off topic throughout the song, I felt he should've matched his energy with the energy of the beat. Especially if you're the last MC to spit on the record, you gotta end that shit on a high note.
Royce on the other hand hit his part perfectly. I wouldn't change a thing about his verse. The flow, energy and topic was all there. He beasted it properly.
-

Yup, thought that was pretty obvious lol
-
Oh well, I understood is that these lame rappers feel the need to create alter egos to have a decent line (as in Fabolous creating the Loso persona).
-
in terms of pure hip-hop and lyricism right now:
slaughterhouse > anything else
these guys should stop they are making everyone else look damn silly. if i was a 'hip-hop' artist i'd be seriously worried for my credibility after hearing this stuff. its fire.
-
As far as this track, other than Royce who murked it, I don't see why anybody should be afraid unless they wanna rap about nothing and not stick to the song subject at all. Other than Move On, which is incredible, I'm not getting my hopes up for the album.
-

I'm content so far. It's way too early to call because they're still a work in progress. They've already said that they'll be working concept records and really elevating their pen game on a group level instead of 4 individual verses per song. On top of that, they've also said that not every song will feature all 4 of them on it. They're gonna mix it up a bit.
They've got good ideas so far from what I've heard anyway. It's just gonna take some time to get into this "group mode" of thinking vs. individual thinking.
I'm confident that they'll be getting top-notch production because of the various Twitters that have been floating around as of late, talking about who they've hooked up with and whatnot.
-
Cool cool, I definetly hope so, if they really come with some concept it would be so fresh.
You got any names as far as producers go ?
-
I pray that premo hooks them up with a joint for the album that would be insane!
-

Sean C & LV, Khalil, Premo, Nottz, 6 July.
The Klasix (Joey's regular producers), Frequency, Scram Jones.

Forgot to add Red Spyda and Bink.

"These other lame rappers is broke

Fixed.
Thus meaning that rappers gotta recite the rapper Fabolous rhymes to have a fabolous (as in great) quote.. get it ? (Not that I agree with the sentiment though..)
Royce had the best verse btw..
Sean C & LV, Khalil, Premo, Nottz, 6 July.
The Klasix (Joey's regular producers), Frequency, Scram Jones.
Sounds almost too good to be true, will probably end up with Buddens weak producers and maybe a Nottz beat..

why the optimistic thinkin???? they´re will search for dope as beasts not for producers names.
-
Just blaze should hook them up
-
I get the feeling that a lot of producers like just blaze and premo are going to be on it just because who wouldn't want four emcees to do their production proud?I think the album is going to have an amazing line up.as far as people being concerned about the songs I'm pretty sure none of the songs that have come out are going to be on the album and these are just a taste of raw skills from the emcees
-
royce is cool wit premo so Im guessin he might try and make that happen, and see what they sound like
