Very underrated album. Many thought there were too many intros to the songs from the Host of the CD, but I think that added to the celebrative feel to it, and liked the unique diversion and break in between songs, and info considering there were a ton of new artists on there.

Besides so much new material from a label at that time was interested solely on 2Pac, and 2Pac only (The Greatest Hits, War Wounds, Makaveli & Dillinger LP) all discussed around the time, and I didn't even think Inside Out would drop, but was pleased when Chronic 2000 did.

Daz, Kurupt, Scarface, Soopafly, Treach, Swoop G, DJ Quik, to name a few and a gang of R&B from the likes of Jodeci, Danny Boy, Jewell etc. Couldn't get any better, but then they added in 2 unreleased 2Pac tracks as well. Ant Banks who done a lot of Too Short material was also apart of this album. I can still pick it up years later.

Chronic 2001 was more polished and solid than Death Row's, but Death Row had so much variety and appeal, that it's hard to decide

Are you serious? Hard to decide? Chronic 2000 was an alright compilation album but it had nothing on Dre's version. It's like comparing that Aftermath compilation album to the original Chronic.

Dope album and very under rated. Its funny you compare top dogs version of cindafella to snoops versions and top doggs version is a hundred times better.I still bump this and too gangsta for radio and dysfunktional family all the time.

yeah..2001 is a nice album with heavy bangers..but dre didnt sound as hungry as he was with the first chronic, and he fucked up by putting eminem on that shit.
chronic 2000 has so much energy, so many underrated beats-n-tracks..even tha realest & topdogg came with bangin tracks..
dont get me wrong ..I like 2001...but it has no replay value for me..everytime I try to listen through the whole album, I skip at least 6/7 songs cause they're played out, or they sound too slow

I'm the same. I know it's pretty solid (2001) but I skip a good few due to the repetitivness of the production.  Deep Bass lines, heavy drums, and a few chord notes was the norm on this

You must be out of your mind. Eminem not only had probably one of the best verses on the album but he wrote one of the best tracks. I'd say there are maybe 2-3 tracks on the two discs of Chronic 2000 that could hold their own with the worst tracks off 2001. I don't get where you're going with the hunger comment either. There is a consistency to 2001 that is missing with the other album.

I don't know anymore. Basically chronic 2000 has variety from an array of talent, and chronic 2001 was a solid album, but a bit repetitive, regardless it was still classic
