As much as you might hate it, that's the case. If a rapper goes platinum nowadays then that's a big deal. Not to mention that every single G Unit video gets consisten airplay on MTV/TRL. People here the name G Unit and they're all over it. Hell, I'm surprised they even release singles for their new albums. Just advertise all over TV a week before the release and it will still go plat in a month.
