okay, lets give respect where respect is due.
Mr. Malik a.k.a. Hershey Loc a.k.a. Hershey Hefner a.k.a. Emperor Malik, was one of the most talented rappers in the DPG back in the early 90's. Just like Lil' C-Style & Swoop G, he was one of the original members - and just like C-Style and Swoop G, he disappeared from the roster really fast.
Unlike the other two (who got they asses kicked out by Snoop), Malik went M.I.A. - and didnt resurface, until a few years later on E-40's Sick Wit' It Records.
he's got an interesting career. originally a member of the east-coast kiddie-group Illegal, together with Jamal. Illegal was like the explicit version of Kris Kross back in their heyday, and was created by Treach (from Naughty By Nature) and Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes (from TLC). Lisa brought Jamal to the table, and Treach found Malik - and together they became Illegal. After the group dissolved, the kids went their seperate ways. Malik went over to Cali to hook up wit his cousin Snoop Dogg and his new DoggPound-movement and became Hershey Loc - while Jamal hooked up with Erick Sermon (of EPMD), and became the Def Squad-member - Mally G..
it's sad that this extremely talented rapper never blew up, but maybe he can blame himself for that - considering he was always on vacation and never productive with his craft. I could only find 27 tracks.

your white ass is the ultimate hater...i mean u just hate just to hate..whats up with that?
-
i agree.
i mean, everythin is subjective/ppl like what they like, but to call Malik "wack" is weird as hell. when this guy was 14, he rapped better than 98percent of todays rappers.. easily the most talented rapper DPG ever had..

Malik went hard..I think he was 16 on Pump Pump..I read a good interview with him several years ago, about him moving back to South Carolina..he had some good death row stories and some Sic Wit It tales..said 40 got him an apartment, and a White LS 400..he also talked about how Snoop was the first to put him on real Chronic, and told some stories about that and being in the studio with them..wish I could find it..
he was Monica's boyfriend back in the day too, when she was first coming out..
-
Damn, i remember Illegal they were like the thug versions of Kriss Kross.
Had no idea he left 4 cali and was down with the pound in those days.
That was him on Pump Pump? Always thought it was some female rapping on it lol.
props.

+1 on these tracks! therse a couple i havnt heard. I always thought Malik came through and tore it up everytime he came in on a song. I think he could have been pretty big if he was pushed right.
Can you upload that track he did with Pimp C?
