I usually dont even really check for old west rappers new shit, cause its sad listening to em try to sound like their from atlanta and follow whatever and any trend they can. But this, from the songs ive heard, is really fuckin good.
Question - whats the deal with people criticizing his voice? Was never way into MC Eiht, he sounds pretty much the same to me though.

what wrong wrong about it ;) if i know that album will not be released on cd or its very hard to find than esepcially if u listen lots of underground cats i have no problem to pay few dollars for mp3. beside today u dont even know if you get pressed or cdr and if i get album for dl in FLAC format whats the difference really and i am supporting artist regardless
if i have to chose between dl FLAC or buy cdr for the same money - i would choose dowload

well artists selling their albums directly on ebay too btw :laugh: and u know that i mean new releases when i am talkin about buying music
and if something is really rare and hard to find i am always hitting up artist first to ask if he has spare copies before buying from ebay or other stores, with i would say 70% ratio of success :D and the artist i do listen most of them dont have any distribution so im end up usuallu buying music directly form them
buyign lil 1/2 dead or kint tee on ebay is supporting artist since the guy who selling them is official distributor
so there is an album u want to listen cus snippets sounds incredible but u know for sure it will never be on cd - so u would still not buy it and wait for miracle to happened instead of just click 1 button and enjoy it on your speakers - weird!!!!

Still don't understand people who complain about digital only releases. I'm a CD collector as well, but if it's not going to be pressed up, wouldn't you still want to support the artist to ensure you continue to get music of the same quality released? If this EP doesn't sell what incentive does Eiht have to release "Which Way Iz West" any time soon?
Btw the version I've got of 811, is 2:37, and that was via iTunes ;).

this brenk sinatra dude is very dope. i checked his previous stuff today and it's all crazy, reminds me of what jake one is doing but with a little more groove. his gumbo 2 instrumental LP is fire. and this EP is well produced as well as having dope beats 8)

Nice EP, should set up for the album nicely. Brenk and Eiht are a prefect fit together musically. Much more simplistic but groovy and updated sound like Matty said. You know what you are getting with Eiht, he is not going to reinvent the wheel at this stage of his career lyrically. So it's cool to see him paired with a producer that plays to his strengths

Not sure if another thread was already made about the hard copy just thought I'd bring it up. The EP is dope, Brenk and Eiht have good chemistry.

The cd I got looked good to me, had the cover and back art and the cd itself looked like a real cd not just a burned cd-r. It wasn't all fancy or nothin' but still looked legit. I'd compare it to how the Lil 1/2 Dead "Dead Serious" album looked for those of you that copped that one. If I get a chance I'll take pictures and post them for y'all to check out.

I checked it out and you're right but according to the info I found on Amazon the cd's may be made using "uncompressed CD-quality audio" unless that doesn't apply to this EP. This is what I found...
