hewlett packard windows media center 2004
pentium 4 w/hyper threading technology 2.8 GHz
512mb memory
160gb hard drive
dvd+r/rw
48x cd rom
ati radeon 9000 128mb video memory
tv tuner
fm tuner
remote control.. lol
i actually paid like 100somethin dollars extra for the media center edition w/tv+fm tuners, but i thought its worth it cuz its on the XP professional platform instead of the home version,,,, which is like 150 bux to upgrade anyways right?
the comp cost me $800
-
also, what r sum useful programs or utilities to add to my comp (freeware) ;D
-
that looks good for 800$ man
the ati radeon 9000 is a good video card i think, you should get counter strike.
-
good deal.

Is it smoking yet?
-
I jus got a new one too :)
I wus jus wonderin how u watch TV on it cuz sumone said it wuz possible n also if its possible to hook a video game system up to it

but dam sound da same as my comp just wit a lil more
i got a compaq custom built
xp home
2.53 P4
48x burner
16x DVD
Radeon ALL-IN-WONDER 8500 - tv tuner which can also record off tv and connect my tv as a monitor
also a remote controler
120gb HDD - just today i bought another external 160GB for 80 bux
1024MB or RAM or 1gig
all im missin is a FM tuner which i will get soon
-
i dunno ima set it up when i move into my dorm, but i was checkin out that windows media center at the store.... damn that shit is tight
u can view a programming guide
choose which shows to record and the computer records em even if ur away
it lets u fastforward live tv, rewind tv, etc
since u got a burner, u jus record a show and burn it on a dvd right after
fm tuner - self explanatory
i got this off the site:
Simply resize the Media Center window to view your program or movie while simultaneously working, e-mailing, or surfing the Web. If you are interrupted while watching TV, just click to mute the volume and automatically display closed captions that stream along the bottom of the window.

Naww, Ati Radeon 9000 is a low-end gfx card, I don't even think they sell them any more..
No wonder you recommended CounterStrike, you hardly need a gfx-card for that.. ;D

True...
For a good solid card (that can run the latest games) at a pretty low price, I would recommend getting an ATI Radeon 9600 XT...costs around $160 if you buy it online.

i dont play computer games so the video card should be fine
