i had the list, but lost it. completly forgot most of the songs..."no bacctracin" is the only track that comes to my mind...could somebody give me a list of the leftovers?
thx in advance
-
I don't have a list but from what I remember the following songs were on the advance :
Breakfast n My bed (aka Bacc Up Hoe) (feat. Goldie Loc)
Pop Ya Collar
can't remember about the rest lol
-
A few others:
The One I Adore (Weed Song)
Issues (Extended Version)
Tha Last Meal
Heard It Through The Eastside
Last Man Standing
Father's Day (f Xzibit & Kokane)
Heavy On My Mind (f Kokane & Big Chan)...this one appeared on the Doggy's Angels album as 'Hoodtraps', though.
There's also the original version of 'Lay Low' without Master P, but I don't know if that one appeared on the advance.
Note that with the exception of 'The One I Adore', 'Lay Low' and 'Heavy On My Mind' none of these had received the mixing that Dr. Dre gave the final tracklist. The sound quality is a bit poorer as a result. It's especially evident with Issues (Extended) as there's the final version on the album to compare. I'm not sure, but I think 'No Bacctraccin' had not been mixed by Dr. Dre either.
-
that album felt like all leftovers,
-
"Hot Pursuit" was another 1...."Last Meal" was a great album...and the leftovers were just as good. if "Sunshine (The One I Adore)", "No Bacctraccin", "Fathers Day", and "Bacc Up Hoe" replaced some of the weaker tracks, album coulda been a classic.
-
purple feat. mr. malik and val young. shoulda made the cut.

According to Meech/dubcnn Dre did mix No Bacctraccin. The leak isn't that clear a copy to hear tho...

"So Heavy On My Mind" (feat. Big Chan & KoKane)
-
+
Pop Yo Colla, So Heavy On My Mind, Fathers Day, and Breakfast in Bed
-
I Can't Swim, Loosin Control, Back Up Off Me, and Ready 2 Ride
=
Masterpiece
"West Coast Still Gon Flow" was meant for the album too but it ended up going to Bad Azz who added himself and always sounded really out-of-place to me.
-
really the only songs i skip are loosin control and ready 2 ryde
-
had fathers day on white label, and always dropped that beat into a set. X killed it on that tune
-
Going to sound silly for this but my mind is fucked up these days but where there ever any Leftovers from Tha Doggfather or Da Game is to be sold?
-

I think the songs 'Work It Out' and possibly 'Street Life' were leftovers from Tha Doggfather. There may be a couple more.
-
i'm trying to create a delux version of The Last Meal for my car to bump. I listed some rumored leftovers. let me know if any song missing or shouldnt be on that list.
Pop Yo Colla ft. Kokane (Prod. by Fredwreck)
Moving Too Fast ft. Kokane, Bigg Pimpin' (Prod. by Battlecat)....................later used for unreleased kokane album "Dr Jekyll & Mr Kane". Possibly Bones OST leftover.
Back Up Ho ft. Goldie Loc (Prod. by Battlecat)
Doggytail (Can't Take It) (Prod. by Meech Wells).......................... sounds like No Limit Top Dogg leftover.
Father's Day ft. Xzibit, Kokane(Prod. by Meech Wells)
Hot Pursuit ft. Goldie Loc ( Prod. by ???)
Hi 2 U (Prod. by Meech Wells and Jimmy Roach).......................later used for "The Brothers Soundtrack".
It's You I Adore (Prod. by Dr. Dre)
No Bacctracin' ft. George Clinton (Prod. by Meech Wells)....................... sounds like another "No Limit Top Dogg"
U Can't Out Pimp A Pimp (Prod. by Meech Wells).............................. not sure if its a "no limit top dogg" or "the last meal" leftover.
Purple ft. Malik, Val Young................................ no doubt its a leftover from death row days.
Summertime ft. Kokane (Prod. by ???).............................. released on 2003 as a single on Vinly.
That's What Happening (Prod. by Meech Wells)
How We Kick It On Christmas ft. Kokane (Prod. by Battlecat)............................ i think its recored as a christmas single or another xmas project
Heavy On My Mind (Hoodtraps) ft. Kokane (Prod. by Battlecat)............................ later used for Doggy's Angel's "Pleezbaleevit!" album
West Coast Still Gone Flow ft. Kurupt (Prod. by Battlecat)
Last Man Standing (Prod by. Mark).................................. i can't guess which era it is belong to really.
See What I See (Prod. by Meech Wells)
Money Weak (Prod. by ???).................................... used for "Paid Da Cost To Be Da Boss" with another beat and another title "Paper'd Up"
20 Crips ft. Eastsidaz (Prod. by ???)........................... later used for Goldie Loc's "Still Eastsidin'" album with another title "The Craziest"
Blaze It Up (Prod. by Battlecat)
Issues (demo version) (Prod. by Meech Wells)......................... later mixed by Dr. Dre version used in "The Last Meal" without instrumental outro.
-
That’s a solid tracklist. You got it uploaded?
-
All of these were definitely not recorded for "Tha Last Meal". "Run Up On Us" with Tha Eastsidaz was meant for it though. "Back Up Hoe" and "No Backtrackin'" too.
-
the OG version of "West Coast Still Gonna Flow" was originally recorded in '98...it was on this bootleg

so what would be your tracklist?
by the way its obvious that "doggytail" is a "no limit top dogg" leftover. i can feel the 98 meech vibe. its very memorable.

Looks like the "advance" that somebody here put together. I'm not so sure that's the official advance version of the album though.

You sure that this came out in 2000? It's exactly the version somebody here put together and I've seen it shared on multiple forums and blogs. Somebody even included it in a torrent that had most of Snoop's discography. I'll try searching for old threads from here.

so, question!!! if you had chance to replace some tracks with the ones u didnt feel on the real Last Meal release, what would they be...
i go first!
replace
replace "blaze it up" with "i cant swim"
replace "it's you i adore" with "stacey adams"
replace "fathers day" with "back up off me"
add only one bonus track: "back up ho"
