On my first listen through, listening on ipod earphones so can't comment on bass, but from the limited response it bangs. Definately one for the car.
01. T.I. F*ck Da City Up (Intro) - heat, beat goes hard
02. T.I. F*ck Da City Up (Feat. Young Jeezy) [Prod. By Chuck Deisel] - TI / Jeezy complement each other nice, track to build up the feel of the album, these fools wanna fck the city up.
03. T.I. Hot Wheels (Feat. Travis Porter & Young Dro) [Prod. By T-Minus] - Last verse TI, rips it to shreds
04. T.I. Loud Mouth (Feat. 2 Chainz) [Prod. By Valentino Khan] - intro to the beat is sick, beat is great, chainz is annoying,
05. T.I. On Purpose (Feat. Trouble & Rich Kidd Shad) [Prod. By Jazzy & Mex Manny] - my favourite beat/track, love it, TI got swagga on this
ill peep the rest later

1. Intro - N/A
2. F*ck Da City Up - 4.5/5. Beat is hot as hell, the hook is nice too. Tip sounds real nice too. Tip & Jeezy have GREAT chemistry.
3. Hot Wheels - 4/5. Travis Porter always drop catchy hooks. Cool to see T.I. & T-Minus working. Also Young Dro since rumors were he was leaving GH. This is hot!
4. Loud Mouth - 4/5. Another southern sounding banger. Never heard of the producer. Tip & 2 Chainz also have good chemistry.
5. On Purpose - 4.25/5. This the record that sounded hot in the trailer. It says Rich Kidd Shad but it sounds like Rich Kidd Shawty to me. Wonder if it's a typo. a hot ass record.
6. Stunt'n Like a Fool - 4.25/5. The track from the first trailer. Lovin' the beat teamed up with the flow. The hook is alright but the rest is hot.
7. Pimp - 4.25/5. This is the unreleased Pimp C verse Tip said he had; that's so dope! A good look for Too $hort to be on here too haha.
8. This Time of Night - 3.75/5. Not a big Nelly fan but they have good chemistry (Get Loose, Country Ass Ni**a). This ain't bad, different vibe.
9. In a Nutshell - 3.5/5. Not sure about this beat yet. Lady G & Spodee are dope, glad to see them featured. The hook is alright.
10. Jeezy Speaks - N/A
11. Who What When - 4.5/5. Tip & Meek Mill been workin' a lot lately. Love to see a Toomp beat here too. This is bangin! All around hot track. Who's on the 3rd verse?
12. The One - 4.5/5. Mannie Fresh! Dope. I really like the vibe of this. Reminds me of "Trap Muzik" T.I. which is never a bad thing.
13. Piss'n on your Ego - 4.5/5. Dope Lil C beat. Love a T.I. & B.o.B collaboration always. The verses are tight! I dig the hook, I know not a lot of people do though lol.
14. Harry Potter - 4/5. Never heard of D.O.P.E. but this is his track apparently and it's a Hit-Boy beat. This is actually pretty hot and D.O.P.E sounds like good.
15. I See Ghost's - 4.5/5. Tip, Future, Rocko & Lil C - That's hot! Future starts it off nicely. T.I. has the best verse but Rocko is dope too. I dig this
16. I'll Show You - 5/5. I know this will be lyrical. Yeah, Tip kills this both lyrically and with the flow. This is all around bangin!
17. Oh Yeah - 3.5/5. Not the best Just Blaze beat but it's still pretty good. Definitely a throwaway from the album.
18. Popped Off - 5/5. I can't believe Tip has a Dr. Dre track on a mixtape; that's so sick lol. And he got Dre to finish an unfinished track? A miracle lol. This is bangin' as fuck
19. Outro - N/A
Overall it's a dope mixtape. Basically like an album without all the radio friendly singles.

Basically like an album without all the radio friendly singles.
jazze pha did on purpose.
Ahh, I see. They got "Jazzy & Mex Manny." Guess that's Jazze Pha, dope!
omg. that shit knocked in the ride today. also the dre track is all new. the reference track that wasn't produced by dre also sampled kool & the gang's 'summer madness' dre also sampled it for t.i.'s joint.
-

1. Intro - N/A
I dig the hook, I know not a lot of people do though lol.

don't you think TI should have saved "Popped Off" and put it out as a street single to his album? would have been dope

Thanks!
I'd hope since he didn't keep "Popped Off" for "Trouble Man", he'll have something else with Dr. Dre on it
-

one of my fav. artists so what. me discussing and informing on updates is no different than others speaking on their favs or muthafuckas talking about sports and ya fav player(s) and teams. to many of t.i.'s fans(including me) a t.i. /dre track(s) is a dream collabo. so i'm sure fans of tip would appreciate this update. sounds like u proccupied wit me chump.
-
Harry Potter is such a bange
-
sorry but i don't really like this. a bit borin to me.

A few of the "trap" sounding tracks I could do without, and there are too many guests but there's a lot of album quality tracks here. Popped Off, Oh Yeah, The One and Fuck Da City Up are probably the highlights. I really hope that Jeezy and T.I. album happens, two of the dopest from the south and they work well together.

imo the tape is sick and every song jams if i could change anything the beat on in a nutshell woulda been done by another producer like maybe danja.

just listened to the whole thing front to back on a long car ride and the shit is hard.

T.I.'s your favourite artist so that's to be expected homie, I could never get into Trap music when it's not mixed properly or sounds uninspired. That's just my opinion though. As I mentioned it's a dope mixtape with some real bangers just too many guests and a few monotonous tracks

this dre track is 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) collabo of the year.
the track is good but niggaz really thinkin this is collabo of the year? i guess sometimes i forget this is a west coast forum and people will love anything dre does. but imo there are better collabos on this tape, nevermind the whole damn rap game

then you're not checking the main section enough, there's quite a few bickering about dre
-
The best song is "Oh Yeah". It's just crazy. A melodic (but still banging) piano beat with Trey Songz doing some kinda one man boy choir on it and then... T.I. goes SO FUCKING HARD. ;D Both in delivery and content. The contrast really works. Capisce king of the leash.
And the beat to "In A Nutshell" is awesome IMO. In fact it's like sex. Seriously. It builds up towards the end in some kind of harmonic motion so you can zone out to it and then at the end when those synths kick in I swear I almost have an orgasm. No homo lol.
Been bumping it for 10 days straight now. Can't remember the last time when I've been so into an album. And I haven't even been much of a T.I. fan since "King", before this.. I think one part of why I'm so into it is that the whole album is on some motivation / positive self image stuff I wanna hear right now, the good kind of arrogance.. Don't wanna hear someone whine about how everything sucks or whatever, not that there isn't a time and place for that too.

i get what u sayin. i think the t.i./ dr. dre collabo was a big deal and what they got for the album may be better but as a fan i've been anticipating a collab from the two since urban legend/king.

yeah i guess it is exciting since the only detox leak worth fuckin with was that t.i track that came out a while back.

so D.O.P.E. is Spodee, Young Booke & Rich Kid Shad (or Shawty - he goes by both). Individually, Spodee can be heard on "In a Nutshell", Booke on "Who What When" and Shad on "On Purpose."
They're working on a debut Grand Hustle mixtape now.
I looked into it because that "Harry Potter" record is insane 8) I also like their other record I heard, "How It Look" produced by Lil C

don't know if there is an official date but I heard its tentatively scheduled for sometime in February

february or possibly march. i think that they may drop real soon. the boy's been gone for a minute.
-
No shot at drops in February. Too close. T.I. is a big artist who demands lots of promo. Even March seems a stretch at this point. You'd think a single would be out right now if March was a thought. I'm betting on April or May.

he basically done recording and should be wrapping the album up by now. it's not too late for a single right now if it's coming in march though.

Yea, if it's coming in March, that single needs to drop right now. Like right now lol.
Look how early B.o.B started promo for his next album. Two months ago? And that drops in March. That's what I'd expect from Tip.

He released Pyro as his first single but it flopped...guess he's in the process of picking another one.

none of those songs were singles from the album. anything from the album is yet to be heard.

Yea, I didn't see that as a single at all. Similar to "I'm Back." He tossed out "Pyro", "I'm Flexin" and "Hear Ye Hear Ye"
-
Well, maybe not anymore but originally it was a single from the album. Like I said he's scrapped it, due to weak response

harry potter is gay for one main reason hes sucking waynes dick on the chorus. dont front like you dont hear that shit. hes using the duffle bag boy flow.
i heard this and ross mixtape back to back in the whip on a long car trip the other day and honestly productions and concepts couldnt really hold a candle to ross tape.
but i do still think tips mixtape is better then most it plays like an album i appreciate that but i really only dig a small handful of songs it....this mixtape is better then his last album though ill give him that.
-
Smh. I better see some residuals from them using the D.O.P.E. name.
-
And what the fuck kinda name is spodee? Shit sounds like a mcdonalds version of a baked potato.
