Yeah adidas, I hear what you're saying. I'm a big fan of Snoop, but then there's bravery and there's stupidity. Every diss he releases to Simon & Dead Row he gets more and more vicious and its almost as if Snoop's starting to think nothing will come of it. Remember how his car got shot at a while back? Now I wonder who was behind that little operation? Plus, we all know the Dogg was addressing Tray Deee on the 'Welcome to tha Chuuch Vol. 4' track 'Fucced Up'. Bad idea if you ask me - if it came down to it, Tray Deee could cause some serious harm to Snoop. I just hope it doesn't go that far. Just because Snoop Dogg's a big star doesn't make him untouchable. I have a feeling that 'Pac may have thought that at times, that no one could get to him, and look what happened there :(
I enjoy the diss tracks on wax but its getting to the point where, in my opinion, Snoop should just watch what he says for his own safety...if he's caught slipping who knows what could happen.

Yeah Rag_J, there's a few different theories. However, there's one major reason why I feel that the diss was aimed at Tray Deee. In an interview with RBX on http://www.rawdawgz.net they asked him about the Kokane leaving Dogg House and I recall him saying that things were still cool between the two of them (RBX and Kokane) or something to that effect. When Tray Deee dissed Snoop on that AllHipHop interview http://www.dpgrecordz.com reported that the DPG's reaction was that they were all LAUGHING at Tray Deee. Remember at the end of 'Fucced Up', RBX says: 'There you have it, words from the legendary Bigg Bow Wow. And we laughing at ya. Hahaha...'. If things were okay between him and Kokane I don't think he would have dissed him like that so shortly after he left and with no obvious motivation. As for Tha Eastsidaz album, I definately remember hearing that Snoop was gonna play a much smaller part in their new CD anyway, and would only be on a couple of songs. That CD could still easily be released since the beef is between Snoop and Tray, and they could use the songs they recorded as a trio from before the beef began.
However, I see how it could work both ways after Kokane did that 'Fuck Snoop Dogg' drop on DubCNN. Eh, who knows?

I agree with what you're both saying. Snoop would be a total fool to diss Tray Deee. That dude don't give a fuck about an image or any of that shit. Just recently he had that gun crime case, didn't he? I'm saying that its a possibility that Snoop was talking bout Tray on 'Fucced Up', just as its a possibility he was talking bout Kokane. Some people say he was talking about both, although if he was smart he would diss Kokane and definately not big Tray Deee.

I wouldn't underestimate Suge like that. Yeah, Tray Deee's someone you don't wanna fuck wit, but Suge has a lot of connections. I dunno if any of you have read it, but there's a book called 'LAbyrinth'
which focuses on the murders of 'Pac and B.I.G. and one of the theories it examines is the idea that Suge had 2pac killed because 'Pac was going to leave Death Row and form his own label. That and the film 'Tupac and Biggie' convinced me that Simon was the one who had 'Pac killed. How convenient that whilst Tupac got shot up that night in Vegas, Suge survived miraculously unscathed. Then, when he gets questioned about this, Suge goes and claims that contrary to this there is a bullet lodged in his head. WTF? Who in their right mind would buy that shit . I bet he made it up on the spot. And also, check how Death Row lives off of all the unreleased Tupac music they own. Suge probably had no concerns over killing Pac because he had all them unreleased tracks. Course this is straying off topic, and I'm sure most people on this board could write a book of their own on why Suge's someone you don't mess about :P
Come on, Snoop is probably my favourite rapper these days but its obvious he's no tough guy. If it came down to it, Suge would fuck Snoop up. Its dangerous for Snoop to continue to talk shit about Dead Row or Tray Deee. The consequences COULD be dear - That's not to say I don't admire him for dissing Simon though! ;D

I don't think Snoop would diss Tray either, they've always been real tight, like bad azz said, thos two will at the end of the day always get together again 'cuz they got this chemistry.. plus, I think tray dee has realized that steven gottlieb have been the one fuckin up the eastsida deal, not snoop. Dunno though, I just hope that the eastsidaz get together again, and I believe they will..

Oh for sure. I didn't mean to give off the impression that Snoop wasn't connected, nor do I think of Snoop as 'soft', as you put it. Snoop ain't a liar and if he speaks about hanging and connected with Crips, he's hanging and connected with Crips. I have no reason to feel he would be lying there. I was just saying that it may be wrong to assume that at this stage Suge wouldn't do anything about all them disses, even though he may not do shit...And yeah, he would have a tough time getting through Dogg's security ;D

I was gonna ask you Overseer if Snoop was still down with IV Life, but he's gonna be on their new CD so I get that sort of answers the question. Still if Snoop wants their support he should be doing more with them, the only track I've heard by Snoop and IV Life was 'Squeeze Play'. Considering he's done four 'Chuuch' mixtapes now, surely he could've put some of the IV Life crew on them. What about Bad Azz: what's his current label right now? His last CD wasn't on IV Life I don't think and he isn't featured on the web site's roster, but then didn't he say he was a while ago? I think Bad would be a nice addition to te IV Life roster...
Finally, is Tray Deee ever gonna drop an album over there? Or an actual album anywhere, seeing as 'General's List' was more like a compilation to me.

I ain't dissin' or trying to bring your mood down or anything, but ain't no telling what any record - be it IV Life or anyone elses - will be like based on assumptions what the left over and leaked tracks are like. I remember before when PTCTBDB came out and there were constantly new leaks & left overs on the net. Peeps were saying there were some tight cuts there, really made them hyped for the actual album. Then the album came out and everybody was like fuck it, the album sucks. Folks were hyped over previews, judged a book by its cover.
IV Life is less likely to let down like that though, they all hungry still and shit, still trying to make more money. Snoop was in a different situation - he wasn't trying to make a name anymore and he was rich already. IV Life got some succeess, but they ain't really broken into the mainstream or made a big name for themselves, you know? Hopefully the left overs do prove to really be left overs and the album is mad tight and it'll bring them more success, but ain't no telling until we hear the music. I don't wanna bring bad karma or jinx their record or anything by saying all this, just what I've learned. Ain't no telling what a record is like before you hear it, no matter what the leaks and left over sound like, no matter what the artist says, no matter who the guests are, no matter who the producers are, no matter what the tracklist says, no matter what the previous records are like, no matter what the mixtape cuts have been like.

I hear that, T-Dizzog. I remember hearing some of the tracks like 'Whatever' off of the PTCTBDB advance promo and thinking the album would be dope. Then, after waiting ages, it finally got released and it reallu dissapointed me. The album felt to me like it was thrown together at the last moment, and there was a real lack of organisation to it. Example: the album was released in Nov. 2002 and the track 'Ballin' was from Summer 2001! You even hear Snoop say it at the end, something like 'Snoop Dogg & The Dramatics for the 2001'. Not to mention that certain tracks that made the cut like 'Suited N Booted' and 'LB to Brick City' (once known as 'The Way You Shake It' if I remember corretly) had leaked months before the CD's release.
Anyway, I don't think IV Life will follow in this way. The tracks that the label has leaked as 'leftovers' have all been tight. They would be fools to waste such good tracks, unless they have something better up their sleeve - and I'm sure they probably do! :D
