Dre did do "Mutliply"...Are u guys def?
In the Third Verse, right before the chorus, X says "Dre, bring that shit back one more time"...It's DRE no doubt...he either Produced it, or Co-produced it...Dont be makin' assumptions now...Just clearing up confusion...PeACE

Damn. You might be right. after all he was in the video.
Fuking Damnit!!! I can let one song slip by. But if Detox is filled with crap like this......I'll be VERY angry.

and another thing.
I seem to remember that a year or so ago, in some interview, it was either X or Dre that said it, that Dre gave X a CD with nuthing but Dre Instrumentals and that Dre told X to pick the ones he liked for his album and that Dre would use the rest for Detox.
now, this would mean: That Detox will sound alot like the production that's on Man Vs. Machine :-/. Dependin on how many of Dre's tracks X actually used. and it also means that Detox should be near completion.
But they could have changed plans all together and Detox will sound complety different and is nowhere near completion.
You decide.

I dont know what ya'll are moaing about the beat is great and the song is great...Sum people are just never happy...end of the day if Xzibit didnt like it he wouldent of released it.
-
The song and Vid are dopeness.
-
We won't hear what the "Detox" sound will sound like until "Oh My God." That is what Dre said. Some of the beats will be "Detox" orientated. That album will be the pre-curser to "Detox" like "Topp Dogg" was to "2001." Expect the material on that shit to be on a whole nother level, a bigger jump than from the original "Chronic" to "2001."
Also, I could give who did "Multiply" cause that song isn't anything special at all.
-
I didnt like this song at first.. but its grown on me alot. I think the track.. overall is Bangin and Nate comes thru like a 1st round draft pick. I dont know what all the hate is about but Xz's new shit is hot.
Ax
-
man u guys r dumbasses, i knew that he produces it 2-3 months ago :(
-
ummmm, Did I miss somethin? I thought everyone knew Dre did that shit....

w0rd to that.
The productions fits both XZ & Nate like hand in glove.
Eyo Nate, you're misquoting.
Dre said that he gave Xzibit a CD with 36 beats on, and that he could choose from them.. he didn't say shit about using the rest for Detox.
And believe me, if it's Dre or Xzibit, I'll remember it..
-
Of course I knew Dre produced it...I mean, just listen to it...It sounds JUST like Dre...A person who knows his music would automatically know it was Dre produced (or at least co produced)...
BUUUUT, Incognito spread some rumor saying Dre didnt produce it (in another thread), and a bunch of people were like "I KNEW IT WASNT DRE!"...So I had to clear it up....PeACE

Multiply is a WACKASS track! Boring boring boring...Nuff said.

yo what happened was that dre gave hom a cd with those 36 beats on and that take what he likes and some of the others may be used with xzibit for tracks on detox

Lazy Listen 2 it dont just hear it.

So....... Eminem said, "Dre turn my shit up" in "The Way I Am" but Eminem produced it.

Shut up hoe. You ain't clearing up shit.
This is what I read in The Source, someone else said this too. This isn't your average Dre beat so I wouldn't be surprised if he had a wierd co-producer.
-
So....... Eminem said, "Dre turn my shit up" in "The Way I Am" but Eminem produced it.
Thats because Dre Mixed "The Way I Am"...Why the fuck would Xzibit say "Dre bring that shit back in one more time" if Dre wasn't doing anything? Come on now, that would be rediculous man...
Shut up hoe. You ain't clearing up shit.
How the fuck u gunna call a guy 'hoe'? So now u tryna pimp me, or what?
-
yo what happened was that dre gave hom a cd with those 36 beats on and that take what he likes and some of the others may be used with xzibit for tracks on detox
Where the hell did you get this Detox shit from?
Detox wasn't even in the question when this interview was done.
-
Dre Mixed "The Way I Am
Eminem mixed "The Way I Am," not Dr. Dre.
Dr. Dre was probably just manning the (EQ) faders while Eminem was overdubbing his lyrics (over the instrumental).
-
I saw the promo single for multiply, it was in a cardboard sleeve, with xzibit with his arms folded, and a plain white background. It was an official cd, and on the back the producer was mentioned as someone else who've I've never heard of. But It didn't mention Dr. Dre as the producer, he only mixed it.
-
Actually, I also heard some shit about Dre givin a CD full of instrumentals to X, and he was gonna choose some that he wanted & Dre was gonna use the remaining ones, or at least the ones he liked the most. Apparently, that CD had about 200 instrumentals, not 36.

U probably didn't check the Co-Production credit (or it didnt list it), cuz Dre AT LEAST Co-Produced it with this guy...and if it dont list Dre, that's a lie...

200 beats?? Are you on crack??
That's 37 seconds for each track on a regular 74-CD.
It was 38 tracks, not 36, my bad.
"I wish I had more time to put it together. I was traveling, I was on the Up in Smoke Tour, I was helping Snoop do his record. There was no set time where I had months and months to sit with the album and work on it. It came out good but we can do better." "We" meaning himself and Dr. Dre. The rhyme hurler said that hip-hop's most acclaimed beat maker will not only once again act as executive producer for his next album, but for all of his future releases as well. "Everything from here on out we gonna make it crack," X said.
"Dre gave me a CD with 38 beats on it."
-
If X was smart, he'd have a CD with 95% Dre beats coming out on October First...
-
Yeah that would be cool but Dre would never produce 95 percent of Xzibit album. It would take Dre forever maybe 3 years as you see with whats going on with Rakim.I don't know but it didnt seem like Dre took this long when he was with death row but maybe im wrong.
-
damn. we need to get our shit str8. I heard that in some magazine, it said that Dre did not produce it. shit. we gonna find out in a couple dayz anywayz. so let's stop tripin.

MTV:
The first single, the Dre-produced "Multiply," features additional vocals from Nate Dogg, who showed up, along with Dre and Busta Rhymes, when Xzibit filmed the video for the track earlier this month in Los Angeles.

kon artis..... ;D ;D he's coproducin "Afterlife" on Oh My God......
P.S. Even my fav toilette magazine The Source said that Dre didn't produce Multiply. But wait...... it also said that Dre produced Hollywood Niggaz on Truthfully Speaking.... ::)
-
I guess even MTV can be wrong :-/
-
dre produced it..its a given....how many Videos has dre been in lately..if he hasnt produced the song?
its a good track..it fits X, its not a dre track...meaning something he would have for his album......
u know...everything dre has dropped for other artist..has been good....cant imagine what he has planned for oh my god
and it would of been nice if snoop had a track or two from the good dr......but oh well
-
NIK, face it. You are wrong. Don't make assumptions without knowing for sure. Dre did NOT produce the track. He MIXED IT, That is something totally different. Mixing is EQ'ing the instruments and vocals that make up the song. He makes sure the vocals and drums etc sound right. He did not do the beat. Kon Artist from D-12 did.
Peace from L.A.
-
hmmmm well if dre did mix it...then he didnt produce it......
but...lol we can all say this...
dre is one if not theee best damn Mix master out there...lol.......
Dre makes it so whoever he mix's for...there shit sounds better.......we wont know till Oct.1st

If Dre mixed it, I can guarentee he Produced at least half of it...Remember "Dogg Food"? Half of that album was Dre...

I'll take you up on that "guarentee"

Yall didn't know dre produced multiply dre did most the major production on Man Vs Machine
-
whoever laced it gets my stamp of approval......which is hard to get sometimes
-
lol this is very funny how some people claimed to KNOW and GUARANTEE that Dre produced Multiply when he didnt do anything for the beat. (except mixing which is basically the same as producing ::) )
-
(except mixing which is basically the same as producing ::) )
Wrong. Listen to Truth's album. He mixed that whole thing besides 3 tracks. Take "Bullshit" for example, which is produced by Organized Noise. It sounds nothing like a Dre beat, yet your saying if someone mixes something that produced the track too? Producing isn't making a beat, niether is mixing. I bet when Dre mixed her album she wasn't in the studio. Cause she doesn't need to be.

What other proof you want? Dre calling you up and telling you he did not make that beat? God, lol.
Nah, He should call up NIK...
-
You guys are idiots...Dre is know for giving others credit (aka Ghost-Producing)...
* First lets start with the album "Dogg Food"...Dre produced at least half of that album, but he wasn't credited for any production. Most heads will agree that Dre had a lot of shit to do with beats like "Let's Play House" etc...The reason Dre wasn't credited as a producer was because he wasn't allowed to produce on that album (something to do with Death Row and Interscope)...
* Now let's take it to "Bad Intentions" and "On The BLVD"...Both of these beats have Dre rapping on them, and both of these beats sound 'DRE AS FUCK'..."Bad Intentions" has the same bass line and drums as previous Dre tracks had in the past...Dre did at least 90% of "Bad Intentions", but AGAIN, he was only credited for minimum production..."On The BLVD" is clearly a Dre beat (even Mellowman said this), but Dre wanted to help out his homie Jelly Roll, who barely did shit for the beat, and got the credit...
* "Year 2000" by Xzibit off of the 'Black and White' OST is EASILY Dre...The credits go to his protege` Mel-Man, but Dre clearly did this...It gives Dre credit as "Executive Producer" (WTF is that?) and Mel-Man credit as the Producer...
* "The Way I Am" by Eminem...Dre clearly had something to do with this beat, because u can even hear Em saying "Dre just let it run" in the begining...Dre wasn't credited for anything, not even mixing...
* Most of the Eminem productions u've heard is Produced 50% by Dre...
And the list goes on and on and on...All I'm trying to say is that Dre Ghost-Produces a lot...Especially with beats that he mixes...
Here's some proof Dre did at least half of Multiply...
* MTV (and plenty of other sources) have listed Dre as the Producer, which means that the Promotional versions of the album must have listed Dre as the Producer...They wouldn't just say Dre produced it for no reason (especialy MTV)
* Xzibit WOULD NOT say "Dre bring that shit back in one more time" only because Dre mixed the song...Come on now...
* Dre mixed the song, and like I said earlier, when Dre is listed as a mixer, most of the time u can bet your ass the beat will sound like Dre (which means Dre does more than a little towards production)...
* Kon Artist is Eminems protege`, and again, Dre helps out Eminem productionwise a lot, which probably means he would help out Eminems homie's as well...
Whatever, I listed enough shit...If u dont belive me, oh well...I dont care, fuck it...Think what u wanna...But I can bet anyone here Dre had a lot to do with the beat for "Multiply" whether he's listed on the final version or not...PeACe
-
::)
[sarcastic]Hmmmm... I thought Dre was the one who used Ghost-Producers, and not being one himself...[/sarcastic] :D
-
I have NEVER called anyone a DICKRIDER, but i feel situations like this is when it is warranted. Saying shit like "most of the Eminem productions you heard is produced by Dre 50 percent" is just ridiculous! Just are just like those idiots who say Daz and Warren G produced most of Chronic and Doggystyle, and Mel man did 2001, except you are reversing the situation. Dre does not do everything that sounds like his shit, this much is true. He did help on Bad Intentions and On the BLVD (although that DOES NOT sound like a Dre beat, i remember when it came out everyone thought Dre produced it and was like "dre came origial on that one, some new shit")....I mean, cmon man, just cuz Dre's beat are a little flat right now (hes still my fav), you gotta GUARANTEE Dre produced Multiply and Devin's Some of Em? That is pretty weak.....
Damn NIK, i used to respect you as one of the best/most knowledgeable posters on this board, get your mind right man. Peace
-
Come to think of it, I think Dre ghostproduced for Rza on Enter The Wu-Tang. Think of it. ::)
-
I just don't see what the problem is?
Denaun produced "Multiply" and DRE mixed it according to my booklet...
And u know what its a wak track and a so so beat so ppl just chill.
:)
-
The people @ MTV are idiots, so if you beleive them as a reference NIK then you are desperate to try and win this argument.
And second, where the fuck does it say in the credits for "Bad Intentions" that Dre did "Minimal Production"???? LoL @ that comment.
And regaurding that "Way I Am" comment, you ever see the credit "Recorded By" for songs? Dre could of just set up the song for EM while he was in the both just to record it over his own beat. Doesn't mean Dre made the beat or anything, he just pushed record, and Em felt like saying that.
You got no proof for anything on "Dogg Food." It SOUNDS like he did maybe 2.
Listen to "Shit Can Happen," Kon Artist did that one, and it is tight as fuck. Now how can u say he didn't do "Multiply."
Eminem is tight because he was always around Dre when he made beats. He has his INFLUENCE now, but 50% of his beats are not done by Dre, they just sound like that.
-
Come on guys...Quit trippin...all I'm sayin is that Dre probably did some production for "Multiply"...It's just my opinion...PeAce
