-
TVT is going to shut this down so fast its going to make people head spin. trhey have no rights to put out this record. i feel sorry for them if they do. they did not clear anything with TVT. they will get sued trust me.
-
Let the music be.

Who knows...
I know it's good new and I'm going to buy it if it's released but how is that different from when death rrow annouced a pac album with death row artists and a lot of people start bitching and said it was to promote his artists..
i don't see that much difference except tray dee ain't dead and is not on their label...
-
Tray Deee is IV Life Family. Go to the artist section on www.4liferecords.com.

Tray Deee is IV Life Family. Go to the artist section on www.4liferecords.com.
get a clue homie.
oh because he is listed as a artist that makes him a artist on IV Life???? well if he is a artist on IV life, why havent they bailed him out????? huh????
-
Why hasnt TVT bailed him out? Snoop? His label? Ruffino? Theres more to it than just bailing someone out.
Besides, you obviously dont know He cant be bailed out
-
Hell Fuckin Yeah! This album looks str8 Heated!
-
Why hasnt TVT bailed him out? Snoop? His label? Ruffino? Theres more to it than just bailing someone out.

how the fuck do you know he can't get bailed out? You can get bailed out for almost any crime in the US. The only ones you couldn't are like if you did terrorrist type of shit, or something beyond crazy. Even if Tray Deee is on trial for murder he could still get bailed out. Many people who are accused of murder can post bail. Earlier this year we even heard of a bail amount for tray deee.
-
Young Roccs said it.
-
oh well that just explains everything. young roccs said it. who the fuck is young roccs?
-
I was joking. . .
I don't wish to argue with anyone, so cheerio.
-
I wasn't arguing, I just really want to know. I don't know myself whether tray deee can really post bail or not, I just said most crimes in the US you can post bail. that really sucks if he can't post bail, cuz that will mean that he is probably in some deep shit, and I hope no one wants that.
-
Thats fine, im just saying all I was told from a close source, is that he cannot be bailed out.
-
listen kiddies..
if tray deee got pulled for a parole violation like KP said on the DPG board he cant be bailed out.
-
oh yeah kronik from dpg records. he always tells the truth. I think the person who knows the most on this situation that can tell us is jtwonder.
-
why.. because he's EX TVT records?
i've known this has been coming out for a couple months.
theres nothing wrong with tha eastsidaz making a guest appearance on an album with iv life !?
none of these songs are owned by TVT, they were recorded at the greenhouse and are owned by IV Life.
-

Exactly...IV Life hasn't done anything illegal.
Oh by the way, for those of you who don't know: The Greenhouse is IV Life's recording studio.
Anyway, can we please stick to the topic? And not Tray Deee's current situation? ;)
-
sorry. and I agree there is nothing wrong at all with tha eastsidaz working with iv life. I really enjoy the mix and I think they got great chemistry together. I'm extremely pumped on this album. Do you know if it is gonna be an official album, or just like a bootleg/mixtape like iv life's previous albums?
-
but that's what I was saying, they are using tray dee to make them a name
I would have prefered their first official release to be a compilation with affiliates on it and tray dee on a couple of songs you know..
-
there is nothing wrong with using an established artist to help establish yourself. Infact it is a great and smart business move. Many rappers do it, along with many other types of industries.
-
Do you know if it is gonna be an official album, or just like a bootleg/mixtape like iv life's previous albums?
It's an official album, but it will be more of an underground release, distributed by Select-O-Hits. It's not a mixtape.
Places where you'll be able to buy it:
Tower Records, Musicland, Borders, Barnes & Noble, Wherehouse, Wal-Mart and Best Buy, with sales offices and staff in Memphis, Nashville, Philadelphia, New York, Los Angeles, Sacramento, Atlanta, Miami, Little Rock, Chicago, Boston and Seattle.
From those stores, these are the online ones:
Amazon, Tower Records, Musicland, Borders, Barnes & Noble, Wherehouse, Wal-Mart and Best Buy
-
Even so Trey Deee isnt exactly a big artist he is still mainly underground
-
MOB. . .
Overseer, Crafty and Cop Killa will let it be known, and let me school you. IV Life Records maybe new to scene but they are not new to the game. They have been around on the underground since the late 90's as a record label, which is where the song "Maintain" ft. KAM, Dresta & BG evolved from (the original IV Life era). They have yet to release the IV LIFE FAMILY ALBUM, which will be the 1st major release from IV Life Records. Until that drops this fall on a major distributor sit back and enjoy the underground gems/mixtapes.
Also, IV Life Records CEO Del Dog is CEO/President of one of the best Car Club's Cali-IV-nia has ever seen. . . Mafia IV Life.
MOB obviously is a European fan of Death Row/DPG and hasnt yet opened his eyes to other hiphop music. They ceratinly arnt making a name off other artists. The affiliation with Tray Deee obviously is a bonus.
I think the fact that DJ Slip is head producer over there is the key to the labels success, that guy right there created Gangsta Rap along with Comptons Most Wanted and MC Eiht.
-
>:( where's blue suede shoes!!11111111111111 >:( >:( >:(
-
this is a ivlife/eastsidaz album.. stuff they did -together- probably all at the greenhouse
you wont get stuff from the tvt project on it. even though some of this may have been recorded for, and not picked for that one.
-
dam this looks tite.... cant wait 4 it 2 come out
-
DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that tracklist looks :o :o :o :o :o
so when is this coming out? i assume not soon since they havent dropped anything yet
-
no date yet. soon i think
-
looks dope
-
a quote from dj slip which mentions the clearance stuff...
The badd azz song will make it. The other one was supposed to have E-40 on it, but we didn't hook up. Anyway, all the clearence stuff will be taken care of. remeber, Tray Deee did the Generals list on spop/bmg.
i mean do people really think they're that stupid? of course they gonna get clearance..
-
Haha, yeah, exactly, some people need to remember who DJ Slip is, and Del Dog. Serious proffesionals. . .
Ruffino, Tray Deee, SPOP whatever put out the Generals List, did TVT sue them?
-
^^ but i hope your earlier comment wasnt directed to say that because he is european he has no idea about hiphop culture & the music style
-
No im talking to German/French/Swedish and a lot of English fans of Death Row Records.
You tend to find 75% of hardcore Deathrow / DPG groupies from Europe, are only into hiphop because of Snoop Dogg, Daz, 2pac & Death Row. Hence their names "DPGC_CRIP" etc. . .
-
I wanna hear that bin laden track
-

yes I discovered hip hop with 2^pac and death row and I like their music as well as dpg,is it wrong?
and I ain't just into death row/DPG,I got a lot more albums from the west
But I know ivlife records,I downloaded their 2 mixtapes but my point was their first release is a tray dee/iv life compilation and a lot of people don't know who ivlife is,they don't know their rappers and that's why they are putting tray dee on all their songs cause tray dee is well known
that wasn't a diss
so no need need to criticize me just cause I made a valid comment and u're their webmaster
-
but that's what I was saying, they are using tray dee to make them a name
Fair enough, but that IS what Death Row did with Crooked I.... Put him on tracks/albums with Tupac, Dogg Pound 2002, Scarface, Ja Rule, Ashanti. . . In order to put his name in the mainstream? Yet I bet you and all of those Death Row groupies were dick riding him hard? "Crooked I is the hottest out". He only got on a record because of Suge. Tray Deee is IV Life Family.
Also remember this isnt IV Life Records 1st major album release, its an underground release. The 1st one will be the IV Life Family Album, that was advertised inside Tray Deee's "Generals List" album booklet.
IV Life's webmaster is DJ Slip himself and some other guy, I dont know who ::)
-
you should have said it first
I take my words back if it's just a underground release
-
^ look back on the first page, crafty had already said it was an underground release!
i believe the BIG collabs are being saved for the 'family album' .. e.g. Ice Cube
-
Yeah and Deuces Trays & Foes was the album Tha Eastsidaz recorded with IV Life last year. So if it doesnt come out now, it never would.
-
:o
Wow, a IV Life and Eastsidaz collabo album! - I know that this is gonna be crazy! This is definately one of my most anticipated albums of '04 now (along with ''Game Over'' of course). Hopefully, the IV Life web site can hook up some snippets for us in the near future. Any word on a release date? Even a rough one would be cool...
-
I heard its all being finnished now and they want it released within a matter of weeks. This album was talked about on DPG's forum a year ago, but it didnt look like it would drop.
-
Oh so this was the "Dogghouse & IV Life" one then?
I read about it on there but as with all the crap there i thought they were talking crap.
-
^ ahh you havent heard IV Life Vol1 have you!
the connected skit is a drop snoop and daz made from the greenhouse for the fans.. it was originally on the dpg site but i think nino nino gave it to slip and it ended up on the cd ;)
crafty transcribed it here >> http://www.4liferecords.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=ivfans;action=display;num=1063824382
-
Ok thanks Seer :)
-
Yeah, cool link! IV Life was suppose to do an album with Daz & the DPG & Dogghouse. But for whatever reason it didnt happen, but Tha Eastsidaz basically did the album instead. Deuces Trays & Foes.
-
An interesting read for people from this topic:
Thanks to Dubcc.com's archives
Thanks for the hook-up Overseer !
Keita Rock:
"There's allot of things Im involved with right now, Im about to go in the studio and do a song with Tray Deee. Snoop and my homeboy Del Dogg from Main Street doing a compilation called "Deuces, Trays, and Foes" and me and Tray Deee gonna go in the studio and knock this song out called "Catch Me in the Module" cause he stays in and out the muthafuckin' county jail and I was over there with him the other night blowing up some trees and I was like you stays up in the county nigga we gotta do a song about that. We was gettin' high and collaborating and shit, freestylin' and shit, so I told him lets do some shit called "Catch Me in The Module" and he was like "we got to do that nigga" so Im gonna take that phat phat beat from De La Soul and flip that muthafucka, we gonna do that. "
Taken from the Keita Rock interview my homeboy 2Real did on TooGangsta.net back in 2001/2002?

Tray Deee and Goldie Loc recorded the album at IV Life's studios a while ago. All unheard material.
IV Life is an official label, they wouldnt remix peoples music and put out CD's
