Tell me one song on the album then that lives up to “Boom”
-
Slaughterhouse
Their first album is classic on several fans site.
And this group saved crooked i s rap career. And put joell ortiz on the map.

PRHYME WAS A GREAT ALBUM......
I AGREE WIT SLAUGHTERHOUSE THO

Naw y'all tripping, Slaughterhouse were super dope.
probably will get hate for this but Compton
I agree here, Compton was very forgettable. If I were Dre I'd pretend I never dropped it in the first place
-
Red and meth blackout 2
Agreed.. though can be said for many Method Man projects
-

Compton was an instant classic and up to Dre’s golden standard of previous classic—it just didn’t impact the game like the other albums but quality was on par

PRHYME WAS A GREAT ALBUM......
PRhyme wasn’t good because Royce is well... out of his Prime. He should’ve rapped monotone like Guru over the Premier bears cause he was a monotone rapper in his prime and it sounds forced when he gets away from that. Monotone works well over Primo’s beats

royce ain’t in his prime but the production and rhymes were still excellent
prhyme 2 wasnt as good, but still dope

snoop’s album bush shoulda been way better

snoop’s album bush shoulda been way better
Why just cause it’s Snoop?
You could say it about Blue Carpet Treatment. Cause in theory wasn’t it a lot of Dre production and DOC writing

it was snoop entirely produced by pharrell
shoulda been great but snoop was autotune singing the whole project
blue carpet treatment is a top 5 snoop album so naah
-
Couse its pharrell, not neptunes...
-
Couse its pharrell, not neptunes...
pharrell is a dope producer on his own
actually it wasn’t the beats that were a problem, it was snoop
-
First of all Pharrell is wack...
Second of all, even if I grant you the Pharrell point—with most artists, especially Snoop, it’s not as easy as just putting a good rapper with a good producer... Snoop needs to be surrounded by his homies from around the way and L.A. affiliates

Saved Crooked's career? Care to elaborate?
-
Why before sh has he got any?
Got some unreleased dr material, and a hhw series for dubcnn. That aint a career...
-

REGARDLESS, IF U LISTEN TO OLDER SNOOP JOINTS PRODUCED BY PHARELL LIKE "LETS GET BLOWN", THE "BUSH" ALBUM SHOULDA BEEN WAY BETTER.
AND I ALSO USED TO SAY NEPTUNES WERE WHACK BACK WHEN WE COMPARED EVERYTHING TO DRE...BUT IF U LISTEN TO THEIR PRODUCTIONS, THEY ACTUALLY GOT A LOT OF BANGIN BEATS IN THEIR CATALOGUE.
-
neptunes are legendary.
end of a story...

back in the day we used to compare them to dr dre dj quik warren g timbaland premo battlecat daz etc. and they were a couple steps below... but in retrospect, they actually were very good producers. same shit with manny fresh. when comparing to music being put out today, now we know what whack is.

no limit got whacker as the years went on but master p’s bay area shit was classix

Here to say Cash Money > No Limit.
They had a way better team and put on for the South in a way No Limit didn't.
Still can't talk about the culture without mentioning No Limit though.

Well let me put it this way... whether I was a fan or not I wouldn't have argued with you if you said No Limit was trash--because their quality control was a bit suspect...
-
Cash money and No Limit both put out many great albums that went under the radar because they were releasing so many of them so quickly but both great labels that got a lot of hate back in the day

Music to Be Murdered By

I'm a big fan of Snoop's Bush album and have been ever since I first heard it. It has a great vibe to it, is very easy listening (especially for a Snoop Dogg album, which we all know are normally way too long), and it has become a tradition of mine to break out the album at the start of summer because it seems to suit that time of the year for me.
However, I can see why others don't feel the same way, considering Snoop doesn't really rap on it at all.

it’s solid to me
i feel it shoulda been a near classic at worst
-
i can't deal with the neptunes since they ruined the black album with "change clothes" and "allure".
-
Any D.O.C. album after his debut release.
-
the East Coast disc of Kuruption!...other than a few D-Moet tracks the production was mostly forgettable, you would think a high profile artist like Kurupt on his debut LP could get a Primo or Pete Rock track
