Yeah I remember this one. This ad caused alot of friction between Daz and Snoop with his name crossed out. Crooked I talks about Daz being one of the main reasons why he signed with them in the first place.

Yeah the dubcnn interview Nima did Snoop talks about it. I think Daz said in a interview it was not his idea for his name to be crossed out. Then shortly after that was when he left and dropped RAW indie. Lil C Style mentions this in that It's Easy To Be A Soldier diss song.

THAT WAS DURING THE CHRONIC 2000 ERA!
I REMEBER THAT, IT WAS IN THE MURDER DOGG & THE SOURCE
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DEATH ROW & DPG RECORDS WAS CLICKED UP BUT THEY FELL OFF WHEN TOO GANGSTA FOR RAIDO DROP!
THAT WAS THE REALEST & BIG C-STYLE BY THE WAY!

I remember that from like 1998/99. That's an old ass ad. With Snoop in Louisiana at the time, I remember people in Cali loving this and hating on Snoop. Weird how times have changed.
-
hahaha i was about to post this a few days ago too...
still on the ebay hunts..

Daz always owned the name DPG Records even when he was on DR. Suge was basically going to give him his own label and distribute the releases. When both fell out for the final time, Daz took his name and the masters elsewhere.
