-

-
i'll buy it if its really good too, but i already kinda know its not ;D
-
guessing Mr Lucc is Bad Lucc
-
Whats peoples thoughts on this so far?
I liked it, with no stand outs so far apart from Suicide which is an older track anyway :-\
Ill def be giving it another few listens before i make a better judgment
-
can't wait till get my hands on a copy in stores !!!!
-
Really surprised by the album I wasnt expect something that great according to snippets :o
Masquerade is my SHIT 8)

I wouldn't post this on dubcc... warren is watching you ;D ;D.. remember the thing wit "midnite - hour"
what happend then?
i know that he posted in this forum and told us to stop the leeking... a lot of people who download the album on torrents got some lawsuit.
it's just an info for the members... we are all grown man, ya know what to do.
In that case he would lose me at a fan and I wouldn't even go to a concert or even by the regulate album evnthough it's a fucking classic

Album is way better than I thought!!!
Dope Album!!!
-
After a deep listen of each tracks Im glad to say Warren stepped his production game up!
Cant deny it the album is dope and it really surprises me
-

NO offence to warren but I just can't afword to buy every CD I like.
If it's a fucking classic I'll eventually buy it (i'm behind on this I'm only now starting to buy the nineties classics) and Ofcourse if he'll do a show in the netherlands I'd probally go.
then if you can't afford it then you don't need it . just cause you like a c.d. does not give you right to download it & steal it because you can't afford it . instead you should act like person with responsibility & not download it & just wait till you have the money for it . quote author=ikke link=topic=230374.msg2336948#msg2336948 date=1253558337]

[/quote] you would quit be warren g fan because he would stand up himself & not let people be piece of shit theives. he has right to do it becuase it is music & it is how he makes aliving . you are so in wrong for how you think & shows why the world is going to crap. you have no right . people like you are stealing money out of his pocket off his hard work because you rather be a theive then a responsiable person who buys the albun when he has the money & does not download it . seems to me most new school hip hop fans dont believe in responsibility & rathter be no good theiving pieces of shit . i would kill someone who took money out of my pocket like you do to these rappers. Warren g has every right & you have no right to get mad about it.
-
this isnt as bad as i was expecting... theres alot of good songs on here
not feeling halla, blacc nicc or mr luck tho... if there were some better features instead this would be alot more listenable
theres a bunch of.. i wouldn't say experimental, but sort of alternative beats - ones that would be good if they just "kicked in" but never seem to.
I can see alot of people being disappointed but I can't complain, there's a bunch of solid jams on here... nothing outstanding but nothing too offensive either. middle of the road album.
-
had a good listen and agree with some of the comments. was much better than i was expecting after listening to the snippets, there are a few tracks that i'm digging. production is mostly well done but a few tracks are questionable.
don't get me wrong though, its just an average album instead of a terrible one. still not that great.
-
I'm Check This Out!! No Doubt! 8) 8)

I liked every track, but Suicide was the stand out track after 1 listen. 100 miles and running was another id say
-
im not happy wit it.. but didnt have high expectations anyway..
he kinda tried to hunt for mainstream, with those few pop songs on there.. but im not mad about that. just not gonna buy it.
a few songs are cool though, maybe itll grow on me
-
this isnt as bad as i was expecting.
Agreed, but still nowhere close to ROTR.
My fav tracks:
2. The West Is Back Ft. Halla And Mr. Lucc
5. 100 Miles And Runnin' Ft. Raekwon And Nate Dogg
9. Suicide Ft. RBX
10. Masquerade Ft. Halla And Mr. Lucc
Suicide sounds like something off the ROTR album.. 8)

-

Its too early to judge imo, an albums needs time to settle
I remember when i first bought Daz - Retaliation, Revenge and Get Back i didnt like it, now its 1 of my favourite albums from that era

Awful album. I like the tracks Jome mentioned the rest is garbage.
-
Definitely the wackest album from Warren G. "Return Of The Regulator" was the last GREAT album from Warren.
-
Definitely the wackest album from Warren G. "Return Of The Regulator" was the last GREAT album from Warren.
Yeah it is his weakest, but I still enjoyed it though. In The MidNite Hour I still bump the hell out of that one. The less DPGC participation the members have on their albums, it seems like the weaker they become.
-
Nice album, I will buy it!
For those who dont like ,I dont understand what U expect from the West because it's a good album, so if you dont like it it's like you will never like a westcoast album anymore...anyway, I respect your thought but it's weird to me...I'm just not understand
-
I got a love hate thing with g-dub i will be hating or not feeling him and then the album will come out and i will like it i mean maybe the return of the regulator days are dead but this shit is alright smooth as hell.
-
Glad to see some positive reviews, i would have purchased it either way but good to know i wont be wasting my money.
-
I agree 100% This is Warren's best album since "Regulate.....G Funk Era" Hands down this is album is a fucking classic Warren G album. I wouldnt ask for anything different.

you're right, after listening to this poppy stuff, i can never enjoy great music anymore, HAHA ;D
IT TAKES A NATION & STREETS OF CRACK
kept 6 out of 13 (the intro don't count) = 2.5/5
drop the titles, i dare you
-
also i wonder if there's anyone out there who doesn't think that this is Warren G's worst album
I agree but I still think the album is pretty good in terms of 2009 music quality standards.. Actually, I was very surprised when I've first heard it yesterday cause the snippets sounded just straight wack but overall the whole album isin't as bad as I expect is to be. The standout tracks to me are "The West Is Back", "Suicide" and "Masquerade" - "Hold On" is the worst track one tho.
I think Warren should've used some of the beats from that video that he did for Jay-Z - a couple of those tracks were really tight..
-

-What's Wrong Ft. Black Nicc And Halla
alright, you get a pass :D
i only kept The west is back & Hold On, but there's no final judgement on them yet
-
Not His Best Album But Still Decent. :eh:
-
pretty crappy album, i only keep one song (skate skate), quit trying so hard to make shit for the radio warren!
go back to g-funk era pllllleese!
-
Cant wait to hear this cd!
-
if warren cares about what the fans think, he'll take it back to basics with the next album, and just give us a raw westcoast gfunk album, with no pop or mainstream influence, and no pop artists like cassie davis, but just keep the features confined to the dogg pound/ doggystyle family (bad azz, e-white, the twinz, half dead, lil c-style, snoop, nate, daz, kurupt, soopafly, tray deee, goldie loc, rbx ) , and also just female vocals from artists that warren has used before like nancy fletcher, tracey nelson, new birth , or the regulars in deathrow/doggystyle tracks, like jewell, michelle, lady v & latoya williams.
-
This is a great album! "The West Is Back", "Hold On", "What's Wrong", "Masquerade", "100 Miles & Running" & "Suicide" were my favorite tracks. If you remove the final 2 track (they seem thrown on there and out of place), you have an even better album. Regardless, this is a solid album and exceeded my expectations. I also did a Warren G feature on the album today.
-
he should have put Mr.President on there.....
-
100 miles n runnin is an amazin track
other then that a very average album

Someone upload this track. "Gigolos Get Lonely Too" would've been dope also.

yes for me it is the wackest album from warren
The West Is Back (Feat. Halla & Mr. Lucc) nice beat but warren is not rappin on this
Let's Get High (420) (Feat. Travis Barker & Black Nicc) nice smooth track
100 Miles And Runnin' (Feat. Raekwon & Nate Dogg) bomb track love it best track on the album
Ringtone very good track
Crush (Feat. Ray J) very nice track
but the rest is wack
whats up with tracks like - Gigolos Get Lonely 2 ok sample problems but thats the shit
or the tracks from 2007 Clownin' (Feat. Nate Dogg)
Can't See 'Em Fallin 1
It All About You
My Boo (Feat. Knoc-Turn'Al) thats the shit we wanna here

not on par with his previous albums, but better than In the Mid-Nite Hour. It could've been worse, but it wasn't bad.

I'll buy this tomorrow morning, I haven't heard much from it yet. This would be the perfect time for Warren G to finally release a greatest hits album, I thought he was planning to do that a couple years back, what happened? it must include Game Don't Wait remix though!
-
Anyone got any info on whether or not a certain store will be having any bonus tracks for this one? I know on amazon.uk there's a bonus track after crush called fire. And I remember reading on here that there would be a bonus track on the best buy version. any truth to that?
-
I think it was a bonus track with Hopsin. Or did I read that wrong? I think I heard Hopsin say something in a interview where he was with Warren G on a track on G-Files as a bonus track on the Best Buy edition.

Its not classic or groundbreaking or anything, its just at the time it came out i wasnt enjoying much on the hip hop front, and it was pretty cool to hear a west coast album sounding like that

I just bought the album from Best Buy and there is no bonus track on it, so that confirms it.
In my first listen, i'm not impressed, maybe it'll grow on me. I remember i didn't like Midnight Hour and first, and it grew on me, so maybe this one will too. There are probably 6 good songs out of the 14...problem is, those 6 were already leaked in the past. I'm almost feeling like i wasted my money, i was real close to downloading it, but i wanted to support Warren G, so i bought it...i have hard copies of all his other albums, so why stop now? I wish he would've put the Twinz on this. I heard a rumor they were working together again, but I guess nothing materialized.
-
If anyone gets it can they up the track "Fire"? I actually went on to amazon.co.uk and they have the track for download in their MP3 section so I figured I'd just download it, nice and easy. Turns out, they pull this shit where there is geographical restrictions, so I guess anyone from the US can't actually download anything from the uk site. Kinda sucks. If anyone knows how to get it, up it here. I ain't up on torrents and all that, so it'd be appreciated.

yeah i noticed that with amazon: kind of ironic when you want to compete with free downloads.
itunes has the most songs, but the fucked up thing is that they have no web store.
i'm not looking for the song by the way, so i can't help you
-
i think i can safely say that im done with Warren G at this point
ive been a fan since 'Regulate' first came out and always check for his new releases. But 'The G Filez' and 'In The Midnight Hour' confirm to me that the Warren G i grew to dig just doesnt exist anymore
the beats are boring, have no replay value and why include so many guests (and unknown ones at that) that basically add nothing to the track. Im sick of seeing so many guests on every track nowadays (thats another rant for another day) - a guest here and there, no probs. But your Warren G - you could hold an album by yourself.
What happened to the Warren G that produced slick, smooth beats. Anything on his last two albums sound like its been hastily programmed on his laptop. And i dont wanna hear no BS about 'artists changing or growing'. Im all for that - but the music just doesnt do it for me anymore and it certainly doesnt show any sort of significant growth. Theyre just 'Meh'. I had my hopes up with this album, but like so many other WC artists albums of recent years it falls flat
If there was one message i could give to him it would be this: your fans were fans for a reason. you produced a certain kind of sound that people really liked. Why shy away from that sound into something else that lets face it, anyone could do? I know its not 1994 anymore, but theres still a place for an updated G-Funk sound in 2009
