They call those releases albums but 7 tracks to me is a EP!
Those releases look like warm up to real albums imo
-
After the Pusha production, I can't wait for this.

Official cover?
-
Official cover?
Nope, I think it's a fan-made album cover. Nothing official yet.
-
happy to have some new Nas music to look forward to finally but have to admit I am not a fan of the 7 track album
-

2. Bonjour

Rumor the track list is revolved around the 7 deadly sins.
Plus there's a Nas listening party tonight. We really getting this tomorrow. So hyped.
-
Listened to the album stream. This is unbelievably good. Holy shit.
-
still not out?
-
still not out?
Nope, fuck all this waiting.
EDIT: Album is finally out.
The first track is dope as fuck. 8) It's damn too short (26 minutes only). But overall Kanye's production is incredible again (like on Pusha-T's album).
Best tracks are "Not for Radio" "Bonjour" and "Adam and Eve". I will give it a proper listen.
-
Don't like the singing on it, but Not For Radio is nice.
-
They’re doing 7 track ep’s for the streaming numbers and to get on billboard easyier.
I listened to this on my nightly walk and I thought it was going to be better. I only like 3tracks.

This is classic.

LOL HAVENT CHECKED IT YET, BUT THIS ISNT GETTIN LABELED ANYWHERE CLOSE 2 "CLASSIC" BY THE OVERALL CONSENSUS FROM WHAT IVE READ THUS FAR
CROOKED I WAS ACTUALLY SHITTIN ON IT THE OTHER DAY

Production is flawless, Nas was flawless. Listen to the album, tell me what's wrong with it. It's perfect.
I'm tired of people on the internet. Too many people with an opinion. All biased, all looking to nitpick things apart. I've seen people boycott this because of Kanye's politics, I've seen people boycotting Nas because Kelis said he hit her, I've seen the younger generation trash it because it's not what they want to hear. They don't like rapping. I've seen white people hate on it because it's got pro-black elements.
That shit is lame as fuck. This is a great, great album.

He's talking about that trash ass Jay-Z Beyonce album; that was completely catered to Beyonce & Jay sounded weak as hell on.

Now who flow is off here? lmao. Nas over an absolute perfect Nas beat or Jay-Z over a beat that sounds like they paid Quavo to take from Migos? Even down the lyrics lol.

naah .. he confirmed it was about nas
-
I think its good but a bit overhyped.

ITS REALLY NOT
MOST PEOPLE ARE CALLIN IT UNDERWHELMING
-
Wack as fuck with ear insultingly bad mastering. Smarten up Nas.
-
Fuck what everybody says, i like it.
-
Nas sounds great as usual
love Crook but how could he constantly defend Em and then talk about Nas flow :-\
-
LOL at Crooked I of all people, who doesn't have one classic project (let alone a proper studio debut album), trying to criticize a legend
dudes will do anything to stir the pot

he got 4 studio solos (5 really, because statik king was a solo in reality)
and statik king maybe not classic, but it was a great project

all more or less "street" projects... what's his break-out debut studio album that was released on CD and charted?
Statik King even though it was good was a collaborative effort and can't even hang with Nas' 'average' albums lol

i thought statik kxng was excellent .. better than i am or nastradaumas
i don’t think he’s a big enough name to chart tbh, so any release he puts out could be considered a “street album” .. i think he’s a credible enough lyricist to share his opinion .. the only thing i do think is funnystyle is him not callin out em for whackness.
-
I'm tired of people on the internet. Too many people with an opinion.
:D
-
Better than "I Am"? Nah. I love Crook, but nah. "Nastradamus" is probably Nas' worst album but "Come Get Me" and "Shoot 'Em Up" are better than any songs on "Statik King". That's just how i feel though.

those are two decent albums .. statik kxng was great. a truly cohesive project that bumped front 2 back. i’m
not talkin bout one or two songs, i’m talking as entire bodys of work. i always felt crooked was a great lyricist with underwhelming solo work, but he got it right with statik kxng .

Joe Budden Podcast actually ripped the album. Mostly blamed Ye.
I still don't hear the flaw on this album. His flow is in the same league as Life Is Good, which was universally loved.

Its because its a new sound for Ye. Its not polished, its more of a grimey and gritty production style or at least it seems that way for all these albums. The only track that sound totally polished to me was Pusha T's If You Know You Know. I loved the Nas album minus Cops Shot The Kid. I'd rather hear Val Young sing MMMMMMMM MMMMMMM MMMMMMM throughout 2Pac's To Live and Die In L.A. than that song. (She never stops humming throughout the entire song.)

Does anybody know if there's gonna be "Nasir" CD's available?

I've heard there would be vinyl and CD for Pusha's eventually, and for Nas I've heard vinyl and cassette lol smh

Pusha physical CD is a must cop.

Come on, man. Just use Google. I found a link for this in less than a minute. You can always find new releases real easy.

Nas is one of my favorite hip hop artists of all time. Lyrics and flow were good on this album, but I hated the production. I’m ready for some other producers to remix it.
But I look at this as a side project for Nas, I’m sufe we’ll get a traditional album from him in the not too distant future.
-
I could understand people not being partial to the production on "Cops Shot The Kid" and "White Label" but even those 2 grew on me on the second listen lol initially when I heard them I was kinda meh but now I fuck with them, as for the rest I don't see how anybody can say those tracks aren't heat
"Not For Radio", "Everything", and "Adam & Eve" are all 5/5 vintage Nas joints
-
Everything is arguably song of the year. The Ye/Dream duet gets me emotional lmao.

I’ll give it some more spins. I listened to cops shot the kid, the first track that was hate me now ish, and briefly another one and was overall turned off by the production. Lyrically and flow Nas was great. I just can’t stand the production. Mainstream production is just watered down drill/trap beats and a lot of noise. Kanye’s been on this post apocalyptic minimalist noisy stuff for a minute. Just not my thing.
I’ll check it again this week when I have some time off.
-
I might have to revisit this. I thought both Kanye and Nas were fine in this album, but it seemed off to me. Like there was something missing in terms of chemistry between the two. I might be wrong, maybe I just need to give it a fresh listen away from all the bullshut surrounding the release, like every article about Kelis's domestic violence allegations.
-
finally got the hard copy in the mail
solid album .. not one of his best efforts but still got some dope joints on there
definitely not as well produced as the pusha joint tho
-
I copped the vinyl about a month ago and I just finally got the CD and played it in the ride, sounds real nice... the album gets better with time, I don't know if I'm tripping but I feel like the CD version has slightly different mixes than the iTunes version and the vinyl because I heard certain adlibs from Diddy on the first track that I didn't catch before lol
"Bonjour" is the weakest joint to me now but not a bad song by any means
definitely not as well produced as the pusha joint tho
yeah Push definitely got the cream of the crop from Kanye with these releases and had the best project
-
Anybody else still listenin' to this? I think Nas is probably gonna drop a full album soon too. I hope so.
