Their buzz was over, anyway. Can U Werk Wit Dat was wack and yet surprisingly got play. Now you'd be hard pressed to even remember that song unless you were really crazy about it (or about quik ;))
This is probably for the best, I'd much rather pay for a DJ Quik album than a Fixxers album. I wonder how much Quik even produced on this?

to be fair...'offshore flow' and 'smoke II much' sound good and more like quik's normal style...and quik is definitely on both tracks...apart from that nothing really interested me but that 'worldwide' track does sound crazy...needs to be bumped in a system but i imagine its plenty dope...

Wacker than I expected. Only Smoke 2 Much sounded some what exceptable, the rest sounded like quik did them in rush with right hand (wasn't he left handed?).
I only listened the preview samples, so don't bother asking for a link.

now i'm definitely angry that a project involving DJ QUIK or QUIK or whatever he's calling himself right now has just come out in some nasty 128kbps mp3's available to buy at 99 cents a pop - apparently unmixed and unfinished...this is lame as fuck...i'm not even gonna be downloading this as it stands...pointless...
i'm real dissapointed...i'd interested to hear what quik himself is saying about this...then again considering this aint exactly his best music its not worth getting too wound up about...

used the creative sound recorder software that comes bundled with my soundcard to capture what the sound card is processing in wav at a safe volume....then trimmed, boosted up and saved to mp3 in wavelab ;]

wow alot of hate going on.. take this project for what it is..its a Fixxers project..not a Quik solo.. but there are a few dope tracks.. and i am lovin the song Worldwide...at least 4 of the new tracks are listenable.. and at least we all have Work with that and the remix..and so good with the remix beat of that... at least 2 of the new songs were terrible.. but then again..i havent LISTENED to them yet...just scanned through them

that would be dope...but a lot of the hate is coming at the 'unmixed' and low quality that these tracks have been released in. 128kbps mp3 files went out of date years ago when people started getting broadband and anything that quik has touched should be mixed/mastered properly by the man himself...

To whoever's running this page, can you guys possibly put the tracks up for sale in a better quality bitrate than 128 KBs? Part of the charm of a Quik album is the high quality sound, and that 128 kbs is not even near CD quality. We've also got at least 30 fans over on Dubcnn who are complaining about the quality and are hesitant to buy because of that. If you need me to walk you through how to import the CD onto your computer in higher quality, let me know and I'd be happy to do that. Thanks!

Although we do understand how to rip music at whatever bitrate possible but we are currently waiting for our itunes account to be setup where they will be sold at a higher bitrate. We tested the sound quality by burning it to a cd, on a zune and an ipod, and all of them had great sound quality. We will definetly take your suggestion into consideration and discuss this with our management team. They may take your idea into consideration, you never know. Thanks!

You know.. I keep on wondering who put togheter this list of songs, I don't think the album was supposed to be like that, because:
- "Smoke II Much": this was for Julio G's album
- "Go To Work": it ain't even a Fixxers song
- "Can U Werk (Remix)": just a remix

i somehow don't think getting the tracks at a higher bitrate is gonna solve the bigger problem. the project is clearly unfinished and randomly cobbled together, the tracks aren't mixed or mastered as a proper release should be...it aint even got a proper tracklist...as someone already said 'worldwide' sounded heavier on that interview that went up. the mp3 released has hardly any bass and while a higher bitrate would clean things up even at 128 you get pretty much all the audio data, just sounds more 'muffled'. there aint no hidden audio information thats gonna suddenly hit us and make everything sound 'good' and truly bumpable if they release higher bitrate files...
it seems to me like quik got bored of this project or was gonna wait to finish it/leave it unfinished...he's working with snoop now we hear...i could be completely off but maybe amg/his associates got pissed off and thought they'd just put this out make a few dollars off it while they can and leave it at that...
a project dont go from having a properly produced video for a single and everything to suddenly coming out in low bitrate mp3s on myspace without something going seriously wrong or people/persons stopping their support for it...

there's some bass there that definitely isn't in that mp3 file we got :/ all the tracks are lacking bass though because they are not mixed/mastered. the fixxers sound is obviously bass heavy too so it's funny that its been put out like this...granted i can't bump it in my car but my THX certified 5.1 system goes pretty damn low in terms of bass reponse...

some of my favorite songs over the years were the ones with the whole crew.. AMG, 220, Quik, and Hi-C... and i have always loved Playa Hamm.. now a group project with all them would be the ultimate LP! i have never been a big suga free fan.. but i constantly listen to If you Stay Ready, Inside Out, Tip Toe, Tella Bitch, and Do I love Her, DOwn Down Down... any other suga free i shouild look out for ???

as for the Hi-C situation was do to the fact that.. they were on tour like around 03 or somethin.. and HI-C quit on em over a bitch.. and to top it off the chick wasnt even his wife.. so yeah thats how that ended up.. but Quik realy expresses alot of hate for Hi-c.. as for suga free well.. the thing with that.. is Suga free was never realy willing to go back to how it was.. so Quik was like you know what Fuck you 2.. and so u can pretty much imagine that.. i mean u try and squash it.. and stuff.. but the other dude still wants to act like a punk and all mad.. well what else can u do.. those songs are awesome... been hangin for some new Quik for agess... needs to get back to the rythmalism era..... need to gets back with the crew, 2ndIINone,HiC and SugaFree.. whats the deal with free n quik nowadays
damn bro, you know a lot bout quik! It's a damn shame him and suga free dont work together tho.. They made a lot of good music, and they seemed like good friends on that dvd about quik. What triggered the "beef" tho? I heard suga free sold one of quik's beats to some dude in the bay.. any thruth to that?

OK so after having this cd on reepeat the past few days i can say that each song has grown on me..my favorites are definately smoke to much and worldwide, then winning, sippii sippi offshore flow and doe,
middle is the one beat im not realy diggin... but off the hook is a dope song! i just dont like the hear the "off the hook niose" in a song,other than that i like it alot
i know AMG did work with that, off the hook, and probly worldwide..
quik had to have done smoke too much and i read somewhere he did doe, maybe off shore flow?
