Bingo.  I'm sure Snoop has done his part for Missionary.  He's probably recorded and re-recorded his vocals dozens of times by now.  Snoop isn't the same 19 or 20 year old that Dre had control over in the studio in 1990 and 1991.  Snoop's 50.  He's got other shit going on, outside of Missionary.  I personally think it's Dre's obsessive-compulsive perfectionism that's holding this album up.

Bare in mind, I'm not saying Snoop isn't spreading himself thin.  He is.  He's all over everything at all times.  But there has to be a happy medium between Dre's approach of spending 6 years on 1 project and Snoop's approach of spending 1 year on 6 projects.

the problem is not wit missionary but wit how snoop is moving in between

dre is not pleased wit snoop dropping random singles every week

it makes an album like missionary far less eventful

he needs to take notes from eminem

the production and chorus is vintage Eminem

unfortunately he’s still got traces of that hippity hop shit in the verses … coulda been better witout

but solid overall

I think it has mastering issues. Some songs are louder then others.

mixing and mastering was clearly rushed

While I don't disagree Snoop lacks focus / concentration / direction with a lot of what he does, I don't think these are great examples.

The Warren G track is clearly a tour promo track. I've seen plenty of artists do collabs for a tour that weren't necessarily attached to any project. I remember T.I. and Lil Wayne did "Wit Me" when they were touring together. That song didn't make an album.

And the Danny Boy track..  I see nothing wrong with releasing a single to test the temperature if people would actually be interested in a Danny Boy reunion album on Death Row.

not marketed n promoted properly

because he drops something seemingly every other week making his releases far less eventful

unlike eminem who is dropping now and has the whole world anticipating it because he hasn’t been doin the most leading up to the album

it’s a bad strategy if you’re looking to build anticipation .. there needs to be some mystique

So the bikers use Quinn to deal with the fagots from New York. Once we caught them slipping they were automatically place in the 1600 doller range cause they don't know how to act.

You know Quinn has a lot of nerve selling to there face n stabbing them in the back. Yah the bikers

This album is pretty dope. As good as we could realistically hope for in 2024 from DPG tbh. I can't believe this album was apparently put together in just a few days. It's not an unfocused or lazy attempt considering.

Thats whats crazy  :o

Imagine if this team sat down for 6 months and dropped lyrical warfare like Who Da Hardest?!

After a couple more spins the album grew on me… feeling La Kinda Love (commercial pop hit could be big), Imma Dogg, Grown Up, Who da Hardest, Always on My Mind, and the 3 singles already out.
