this episode was WILLLLDDDDD. i gotta DL this one and #1 caus this week was bananas. the coma world was outttttta control
-
So far, it's been a very good season. Edie Falco I think is probably the best actor on the entire show, her scenes were great. It's almost like they did it that way on purpose, to give her the opportunity to show off that side of her character. James Gandolphini is an excellent actor, he's turned Tony into a walking talking human being. Whenever an actor is so good that they actually make their character exist, that's incredible. I've seen Gandolphini do interviews, and I've seen him play other characters. No Tony. He just conjured Tony up out of nowhere and placed him on the planet, that's a hell of an actor.
I'm glad they calmed Meadow down, and I can't stand A.J.... but then again, I never could stand either one of them. I hope they kill A.J. before the end of the season, I hate the little fucker and it'd be a good storyline.
-
my boys were tellin me how they dont want tony to die yet caus its 2 early in the season. but i think it would make a real interesting ending with who's gonna take over the family. that AJ part was nuts when he was talkin about puttin a bullet in Junior's head. i hope he'll either kill Junior and go to prison or kill Junior and join the family since he already flunked outta school. i dont think it'll happen, but im hopin one of those do.
-
Dude, Tony cant die now, at least not this early. I hope they murk old crazy ass Junior because he really serves no purpose now.And look for that Russian dude that pauly and chris were chasing through the woods a couple of seasons ago to play a part.
-
That Russian Dude is long gone, you'll never see him again. You guys are so different than me, Corrodo is one of the best characters, they won't kill him, every scene he's in is great. A.J. will never join the family because he's nothing. He has no strength, he's not very intelligent, and basically he has no motivation to do anything. He'd get killed his first job.
-
I hope they don't drag this coma shit forever...that would be wack.
-
SPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEERRRRRRR!!!!!!
This week's episode was fucking great. I love these dream episodes. You gotta watch it at least twice to understand all the symbolism and foreshadowing. Tony in that coma must be purgatory or something because I remember Tony asked the bartender so how is Costa Mesa which was the city Tony was in and the bartender said "Dead". I dunno lots of hidden meaning in that episode. Best show on TV hands down.

HAHA, real talk, i was telling Wifey that when we were watching it. Damn, what the fuck ever happened to the Russian dude? And when are they gonna discover the fat guy is gay? And who in here besides me thinks that Pauly is a traitor?
-
the russian dude and they'l be war wiith them and adriana are gonna come back i think. vito's gayness is gonna come out, he'll get shot. this episode seemed to map out tonys retirement to me, he won't die tho. everyone is trying to position themselves to take over.
-
I don't believe Adriana will come back. It would be so hard for it to be credible. There would have had to been some huge scene out in the woods that they never showed, and I don't think Silvio misses from that close of range. So they'd have to just play the whole thing off like he shot once to scare her, then told her if she ever came back he'd kill her, or blah blah blah whatever. I don't see that in his character, he's pretty hard-ass. I HAVE HEARD confirmation though that Adriania will appear in another episode later in the season. Dream sequence? Who knows.
The Russian dude, David Chase was asked about him, he said "he's gone".
I think Vito will of course be exposed eventually. Did you catch him at Carmella's house? They were talking about why that guy would kill himself, and Vito said "Maybe he was secretly a fag and felt there was nobody he could talk to about it."
LOL
My favorite part of the coma world was when Carmella said "Tony, can you hear me in there?" and Tony was in his hotel room, and got up off the bed, and picked up the phone... dialed a couple numbers, thought about it, then hung the phone back up.
-
Thats to bad. That Russian dude was hard! he was a warrior.Tony was even scared of those dudes and wanted no beef.
-
i have a feeling that if Tony dialed the number he would've returned. the way the camera showed the telephone under the light, and then after he sat on the bed, the yellow light in the background and all that. idk why but i jus felt that if he called the number, he woulda came back right then.

I think your right I watched it at six and didn't really like it but then I watched it at nine again ant it was a pretty good episode.
-
YEAH, I WATCHED IT AGAIN, AND IT MADE MORE SENSE.

Yeah thats what I thought too because right before they showed Carmella sitting next to Tony in the hospital and she said "Can you hear me Tony?' and then it swtiched to Tony about to call home.
Also the convention he was trying to get into could represent heaven, but he couldn't get in because he didn't have his I.D.
Much more hidden meanings in that episode.
-
Did anyone else notice when he was on phone during his dreams that wasnt carmellas voice on the phone
-

Yeah it didn't sound like her I wasn't sure though.

whaaaaaaaaat i never thought of that.

Yeah it didn't sound like her I wasn't sure though.
It was like his imagined wife, and kids. When he called, the answering machine picked up, and his son and daughter and wife were like "HI!!! You've Reached the SOPRANOS!!!! Leave a message!!!!" then giggling and things.
I didn't notice the heaven thing either, that's good. The Alzheimers thing, did you notice that? The doctor told Tony in the ER that he had a black area on his brain that was the early stages of Alzheimers, and at the same time the doctors in the real world were thinking that he was starting to suffer Brian Damage from the gunshot wound.

I didnt notice that at all, this was the type of episode you had to watch a couple of times to catch everything.
-
I'm still trying to fully grasp the 'mistaken identity' thing. If the Convention is heaven, and you have to be a good businessman to get into the convention with proper i.d., some other guy has Tony's i.d. So tony can't get into the convention, i.e. he can't get into heaven.
The guy who has Tony's i.d. is an asshole. He didn't pay those monks the money they needed and that he promised them.
The guy who has Tony's i.d. can't get into heaven with his own i.d., because Tony would have just used it to get in, but it wasn't sufficient.
So, Tony can't get into heaven because this other guy stole his business i.d. which would enable him to get into the convention.
If the convention represents heaven, then his business i.d. must represent his salvation or his karmic equity he's amassed in his life.
The real Tony Soprano can't get into heaven because some Asshole that looks just like him stole his life away at a bar, and a woman at the gates of heaven told him he couldn't get in. The woman probably represents Carmella telling him he's going to Hell.
-
****************** SPOILER ************************************************
Looks like Tony's gonna be up and at it next week. Lots of hard-core classic gangster shit in the next week's preview at the end of tonight's episode, with Tony directing traffic from his hospital bed. I'm gonna predict it'll be one of the greatest shows ever. Can't wait.
-
Paulie walnuts its going end up turnin rat before the season is over.
-
Tony's back :raisetheroof:
i had a feelin wen tony found that family reunion or w/e that it was an invitation to hell. and once i saw steve buschemi i fuckin KNEW IT! i really thought he was gonna die but wen he came back me and my boys were like :raisetheroof:
next week looks fuckin ILL man i wish i could peep it right now caus it looks reaaaaal intense. but at least the don's back! 8)
-

I dunno. They teased the same thing about two seasons ago, with Paulie playing John and Tony back and forth, and Paulie telling John to put in a word for him in New York... then ultimately Paulie found out that nobody in New York even knew who he was. If you mean rat to the police, I don't see it happening with Paulie, he's pretty hardcore.
-
They need to kill that fag.
-
yea 4real rik, that faggot pisses me the hell off >:(
-
The fag will get his within 3 shows or so, I'll bet.
Whatd' yall think of chris's movie idea? LOl That was hilarious.
Punk in backseat - "Please!!!"
Heavy in backseat - "We need you to write a small budget script for us. Saw made a killing in the box office"
Punk - "So this means I'll be clean?"
Chris - "My idea is Saw meets Godfather Two!"
LOL
-
That was a great episode. I wonder if that was hell Tony was going to. It looked pretty peaceful but the devil always plays tricks so you never know. Interesting to see his Mom in hell. She was a evil bitch but she really didn't do anything bad in her life. Well plotted to kill Tony but was that her alzheimers?
LOL @ Paulie Walnuts. That dude makes me laugh everytime.
-
his mom was in hell? i didnt even notice that. :o
-
The best part about Paulie, is that he tries, or THINKS, that he's a good person. Everything affects his heart. The look on his face when he saw Tony was priceless. The "whitecaps" episode or whatever that Buscemi directed, the one where Chris and Paulie got lost in the woods is the best episode of the entire record of the show, mainly because of Paulie's great acting. Everything affects him, it's hilarious. Another of my favorite memories of the show is when that fuck was giving him trouble about the lawncare business, and Paulie knocked the guy out of the tree with a shovel. LOL.
I'm not positive, but I don't believe it was necessarily hell. I think it was just the 'afterlife' so be it, or dying. Tony was walking around in a coma... that was the world he was in. the 'coma world', half awake, half dead... that's why everything was related to what was happening in his surroundings in the hospital (I.E., paulie driving him nuts with the chatter).
I think the party represented death, not necessarily heaven or hell or a judgement, just 'the other side'. His daughter wouldn't have been calling him to not go to hell... she would have been calling him not to die. They did that very, very well... because it wasn't that Meadow was specifically calling to Tony at that very moment when he was choosing death or life.... it was just that Tony's LOVE and memories of Meadow was telling him not to go.
-
i never thought of it that way. damn trauma u come with the deep insight kid. props
-
The part when paulie was talking to tony and they switch to the coma world and tony is telling the people to shut the fuck up was hella funny.
-
his mom was in hell? i didnt even notice that. :o
His mom was in the house which like Trauma said meant the afterlife whether hell, heaven or whatever.
-
yeah, that shit was hard as hell. I think the fat queer will get found out, specially tryna flirt with meadows boyfriend
-
I can't wait till the next episode...it looks like the season is goin to get real intense.
-

Paulies is the eptiome of someone who rats. he is only out for one person and that is himself. He may not of said a word then but he eventually will.
-
just finished downloadin episode 3 season 6..i fuckin love bittorrent!!
About Paulie..ya'll gotta remember that tony n the rest of the family is hes only family, he dont have a wife or any kids. So the only thing he has acomplished is being a capo in the new jerzey fam, why would he turn on that? yea he was havin a change of heart for a while, but in the end he understood that he will always be better off with Tony.

they dont care about the family. as much as they say they do and taking the omerta and all that. its bull shit. There are only in for one person and that themseleves. I grew up in a mob neighborhood, thats how these guys think. There is no loyalty anymore.
-
It's a television show.
-
It's a television show.
A VERY Accurate one at that, thats why i feel paulie will snitch.
-
is there a trailer of the next episode anywhere?
-
I wonder what will happen with the Vito angle, I thought he would murder those 2 guys that saw him straight away.
