Title: Time of the year has started where i avoid tracks.
Post by: caTASHtrophe on July 17, 2002, 12:48:10 AM
by artists i like, which get leaked on the net.

:P

I only like to hear the lead singles AND NOTHING else so when i buy the album its new and exciting.

:)

Unfortuantly i have to now avoid downloading (which isn't that easy, coz my will power can be weak when ppl rave on about a track) tracks by Xzibit, Ras Kass, Bone Thugs etc...

:(

True but theres nothing more exciting than buying an album from ya fav artist And not having a clue what to expect and being blown away if its good (I.e I Told You So by Chino) or scarred out if its not as good as you hoped. (Restless)

Totally feel you.
I'm avoiding Xzibit as much as possible.
Makes for a whole new experience when you put the CD in your CD-player, and you haven't heard all the tracks on the net.

That's the same way I feel.  I don't want to hear ANY promos or bootlegs of yet-to-be-released CD's because I want it to ALL be new to me.  Otherwise the CD gets played out quick cause I've already heard more than half of the tracks.

I feel ya 100% on that one.  Man it has been a long time since I haven't heard the whole album way befor it came out.  I think the last one was the bones soundtrack.  It is so hard to resist the temptation of hearing them early though.

well i may agree in some ways...i already burned the new snoop...its alright..but i never did that for the last meal and i hated it because of kokane...so i wished i would've burned it.. it kinda pisses me off just cause something gets leaked that it never gets released...like ras kass and knocturnal...i burned daz, quik and em's new ones and im glad i did cause they dont have much replay value so im never gonna buy them...however when something is coming out that i know will be good great(ROSCOE!) i will pass on burning

That's what I do.  Always with big albums too.  I held out with Em's album the only songs heard were the two singles.  I just get the album the day it comes out throw it in the CD player and let it ride.  I don't even look at the credits or anything else in the book till it's done.

I like doing it that way.  I was about to cry when I was listening to 2001 and Stillmatic the first time.  Gotta do it for Oh My God.
