Is age important? Or talent? George Clinton was 38 when he wrote the greatest Funk song ever "Not just(knee deep)" and Johnny "Guitar" Watson was'nt truly famous until his early 40's. Quincy Jones was in his mid to late 40's when he produced M.J.. etc...etc. in a cashmere sweater.

Obvioulsy talent matter more than age....I think its pretty disrespectful that Game said that shit.

I'm sayin...everyone who has heard any diss he's made towards G-Unit know that it's a diss to Yayo. He is always pokin fun of Yayo's age.

In the rap game, we all know rapper's get clowned and are told to "hang it up" once they pass 35, and in some cases, 32.

Most of us don't mind hearin Cube, LL, Dre, and Jay rap...but there are a few people who think rappers should stop when they "get gray hairs" or "start going bald", and with most rappers who aren't those I just named, it is usually the truth.

We all know rap is a LOT, and I mean A LOT different from other genre's...so we can't compare it to Quincy Jones or anyone else.

It wasnt a problem when 2pac said "all you old rappers trying to advance, its over now... take it like a man"

If someone puts out a dope CD and you say to yourself "I cant like this because the artist is over 30" You're just missing out. Dre was 35 when Chronic 2001 sold 7 mil and everybody on this thread is gonna get his next one. Dope is Dope.

its not like he went and called out Yayo.....it was a general statement he made towards 38 year old rappers........he doesnt mention Tony Yayo once in the song.  The first thing I thought of when I heard the line was Dre and Ice Cube.

no not at all.. in some careers 40 is too old for a job like say a sports athlete purely because your body tends too slows down and injuries occur more often... but in music industry your never too old, look at rbx he's like 52 and still better then most of the people coming out in rap / hip hop today..

Yeah, I don't see why Game does that, cause Yayo is younger than 50.  He ain't even 30 yet.

RBX is 52?  Huh?  I don't think so.  I'm pretty sure he's pushing 40, but he definitely ain't 52.

RBX was tight before it became obvious how much he recycled bars and verses.  "The RBX Files" is an underrated album, IMO.

Yeah thats basically Game's point. Dude has barely started rappin, and is like 38. While Cube and em started in the 80's, so of course they are around that age. Game should have made it more clear though, by saying "You 38 and you just started rapping or something"
