Okay.. Along with hip-hop and other music, I download a lot of internet and talk radio shows like the late Harry Browne's Libertarian talk show. Anyway, his segments are like 45 minutes long. So everytime I download one of them, and want to take it to work with me to listen to, I have to burn each individual segment onto one cd... that's all that can fit.
So anyway, it's taking a lot of time to burn so many cd's. So I was thinking about getting caught up with the rest of the world, and getting an MP3 player/IPod or whatever those things are. I just want to be able to transfer the MP3's from my computer to this MP3 player and then listen from headphones while I'm at work to all the MP3's I have.
So do ya'll have any suggestions what's the cheapest and best route for me to go to get one?

What size MP3 you thinking of getting? That would be a good point to know first for sure.

There's no comma on the Iphones ?? :D
My advice:
Get a Creative Zen Vision M (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZEN_Vision:M):

Not the cheapest, but it comes with 30 or 60 gigs..
If that's too much, go for the Zen V or Zen V Plus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZEN_V), comes in 1, 2, 4 or 8 gb..
Don't let the Apple fanboys fool you to buy a Ipod, unless you're a Hipster Doofus or have a fetish for crappy software like Itunes & Quicktime.

I was gonna get a IPod, but I bought the Samsung YP-T9B. Only 4gigs but It has plenty of other features. .

Preach on brother, I can't stand Ituns or stupid quicktime. They hog resources like crazy, and ARENT VERY GOOD.
Very good observation, took the words right outta my mouth

I've got the Creative Zen Vision:M Jome posted about (30GB version). Works great!
People tend to mistake it for a refrigerator, but that's just because it's somewhat larger than those ultracool iPods that have no efficiency. Vision:M is still very compact and very useful though, although I do miss a playlist editor on it...

I would suggest getting an ipod or iPod nano.

@ Jome ... ", , , , ," ;-)

Yeah this is really solid player, you can cop them on eBay for about $100.00 refurb. I wish I waited a bit longer though, as they'll be releasing an 8 GB model soon...
-
lol @ 8 gigs. you must have small collections.
and that creative is the one I was talking about. i'm going to get one after these other things on my monthly to-do list are boughten.

I recommend getting a Creative mp3-player. I've got the Creative Zen Touch (40 GB) and I've never had any problems with it.

Creative getting a lot of love here. I guess quality speaks for itself.

I had a Sony NW-HD3 for about two years, and I liked the played a lot. I would get a solid 25-30 hours of playback on each charge, but that is because the screen is a black and white 2" square. It only comes in with a 20 gig, and Sony stopped supporting the trashy software (Sonic Stage). The other downside is that it wanted to automatically translate every file into atrac format, which is only compatible with Sony products.

I picked up a Zune a while back to replace it, but those only come in 30 gig. However, there is quite a bit of open space around the hard drive that is not used; I swapped out the 30 gig hard drive for an 80 gig hard drive. The Zune software is pretty good, it is leaps and bound better than iTunes or Sonic Stage.
