Post by: "THE" MoSav on February 09, 2007, 04:31:14 PM
This is gonna be the thread for NFL offseason moves, news and notes.

Donnie Edwards will not return with Chargers and becomes unrestricted Free Agents, how stupid are they not to resign a guy that has led them in tkcls 5 yrs in a row and has led LB's in int's with 17 over the last 5 years

Raiders meet ex-CSM coach, Brady's mentor about coaching job
Martinez could become Oakland's assistant in charge of quarterbacks
By Glenn Reeves, STAFF WRITER
Article Last Updated: 02/10/2007 03:32:20 AM PST

The Oakland Raiders met with former College of San Mateo coach Tom Martinez
on Friday to discuss their quarterback coach position and LSU quarterback
JaMarcus Russell, a potential No. 1 draft choice whom Martinez recently
tutored.
The Raiders own the top pick in the NFL draft, and Russell and Notre Dame
quarterback Brady Quinn are believed to be among their targets.

Though Jim McElwain is still listed as the Raiders quarterback coach, new
Raiders head coach Lane Kiffin has been interviewing people for the
position. Still, Martinez is thought to be reluctant to make the
all-encompassing commitment required of an NFL position coach.

One of the most successful coaches in California community college history,
Martinez retired from coaching at College of San Mateo in 2005 due to health
concerns. Since then his national fame has grown due to the publicity he's
received for the work he has done with New England Patriots quarterback and
San Mateo native Tom Brady. Martinez was hired to work with Russell in
Arizona last month.

The Raiders also have been busy interviewing candidates for special teams
coach this week, most recently Brian Schneider of the Air Force Academy.

A source confirmed Schneider was at the facility Friday, but the Raiders
made no announcement regarding new hires.

Schneider, 35, recently joined Air Force after spending 2006 coaching tight
ends and special teams at Iowa State. He coached linebackers, safeties and
special teams at UCLA from from 2003 through 2005, working against Kiffin's
USC teams.

Earlier in the week, Hawaii defensive line coach Jeff Reinebold interviewed
with the Raiders for the special teams opening, the Honolulu Advertiser
reported.

Hawaii coach June Jones told the Advertiser, "I talked to Lane Kiffin, and I
felt he was going to offer the job to Jeff."

Reinebold, however, decided to remain at Hawaii before an offer was
extended.

"When the plane started its descent to the Islands, I felt like I was coming
home," Reinebold said.

Each team run's their OTA's differently.  Most of them are not mandatory but players are pressured to go until minicamps start.

my guess is most of tha players eat in the hotel restaraunts, unless they wanna walk or catch a cab somewhere, they dont have there vehicles on road trips obviosuly. But my guess is the hotel rest, because you know they are staying in nice ass hotels and they hotel restaruants are probably pretty damn nice. So why eat somewhere else?

Have you guys looked at which team your team will playing next season?

We got a mix of really good and really shitty NON-DIVISION teams comign to Lambeau next year...San Diego,Philly...then sub -par teams like Carolina, Oakland and Washington...our away schedule isn't that bad either...No New England, thank god.

Home
Philadelphia, Washington, Carolina, Oakland, San Diego

Away
Dallas, N.Y. Giants, St. Louis, Denver, Kansas City

Sad thing is...no 49ers =/

Raiders, top QB prospect talk… Oakland, which has the #1 pick at the 2007
draft, reportedly met with former LSU QB JaMarcus Russell, late last week.
While there have been reports that Oakland owner Al Davis is not inclined to
pay the price of signing a QB drafted first overall, the Raiders, who had
the NFL’s worst offense this past season as they won just twice, are
believed to have included Russell and Notre Dame QB Brady Quinn among
targets for the top pick. The Raiders, though, are also thought to be
interested in acquiring a veteran QB, either through a trade of free agency,
to compete with returning pivots Andrew Walter and Aaron Brooks and then
using the #1 pick on a position player like Georgia Tech WR Calvin Johnson
or Wisconsin OT Joe Thomas.

Seems like typical mediot nonsense, but I have my fingers crossed
nonetheless....

The Raiders need to take a skill player like Johnson and just get a QB in FA (Garcia, Schaubb, Etc) or just get a qb later in the draft like a Troy Smith  or even a Zandbransky as he could fall to the 2nd rd. I should be in the Raiders War Room on Draft day  ;D

i kind of feel you but damn hes had some bad luck

1986 afc championship Elways puts together the DRIVE (marty wasnt out there playing defense) and the game is tied. They lose in OT
1987 divisional playoff game they were at the 5 yd line when they fumbled (Marty didnt fumble that ball) Broncos recovered with like 10 secs left and ran out the clock. They lost 38-33 instead of winning 40-38
1996 divisional playoff game they lose the Colts 10-7. Linn Elliot misses three Fg's including one at the end of the game that would have tied it up with 12 secs (Marty doesnt kick the ball) If He makes 2 of the 3 they win. 1 of the 3 they tie.
2005 divisional playoffs They lose as Nate Kaeding misses FG at the end of reg.

If some Fg's go his way he maybe makes it to a few superbowls. I just dont get how you fire a 14-2 coach. Especailly since they are TEN Times better then they were when he took over 5 years ago..IMO they would be a fav to win it all next year...

They are 12-4 no matter who there coach is. They have a very good and FAST defense. An explosive offense, #21 enuff said.
They are also like 25 mill under the cap so they might add a few Free agents..even if they keep the team how it is they are a top 3 team in the AFC along with the Pats and Colts...I have heard Jim Mora is a candidate...

Marty had nothing to do with a WEAK secondary that was only good when Merriman and company were breathing down Qb's necks. The 4 weeks Merriman was out the secondary got TORCHED, the offense had to make some unbelievable comebacks (at Denver and at Cinicnati) The Chargers also need to get a true #1 WR, they have 2 #2's and a #3 Wr as there top 3 guys. Jackson, McCardell, and Eric "Drop Everything" Parker is a horrible wr tandem, if they get better at WR they should be the favorites hands down.

yeah 2001. Lt's rookie year. There offense was like ranked in the high 20's in 2000 and in Turners first year as Coord and LT's first year as a player they improved to 11th. LT had like 1250 yds..

just read this on rotoworld.com

Green Bay will reportedly be one of the first teams to contact free agent Adalius Thomas if Baltimore doesn't slap him with the franchise tag.

It's still up in the air whether the Ravens will do so, and they have until Feb. 22 to decide. If the Packers land Thomas, likely to the tune of roughly three years, $15 million with the bulk of the money guaranteed, Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila will probably be a cap casualty. Thomas would play mostly with his hand down opposite fellow Pro Bowler Aaron Kampman

its gonna be more crucial for the Charegers who there o-coord is more then the head coach IMO. But alot of head coaches pick there o-coord so it might go hand in hand. but o-coord>>coach for chargers success. They also need to improve in the secondary and at WR..

"Calvin Johnson reportedly ran a 4.33 forty at a workout with his speed and conditioning trainer on Tuesday.
He also recorded an 11-foot standing broad jump and a vertical leap of 43 inches. These are insane numbers, but he'll have to repeat at the Yellow Jackets' pro day or at the Combine next week for them to be legit."

Of course, these numbers are unofficial and therefore mean nothing. If he posts near a 4.33 forty at the combine, GMs will start salivating.

The Indianapolis Colts have had their parade. They've had four whole days to
bask in the afterglow of their first Super Bowl victory . . .

And now it's time to start thinking football again.

There is seemingly no end to the NFL season. The Pro Bowl will be played
Saturday, and less than two weeks after that the scouting combine in
Indianapolis officially kicks off next season.

The Oakland Raiders have the first pick in the draft, so they're on the
clock, and speculation has them taking Louisiana State quarterback JaMarcus
Russell — think Brian Urlacher's body and Brett Favre's velocity — but
"speculation" is the operative word. The Raiders need a lot of help; they
easily could decide to trade down for more picks.

Here's an early look at some of the players up for grabs April 28:

Five can't-miss picks

Calvin Johnson, receiver, Georgia Tech: Built like Terrell Owens from the
neck down, he seems to be much better than Owens from the neck up. He could
wind up being the first wide receiver picked No. 1 since Keyshawn Johnson in
1996.

Joe Thomas, offensive tackle, Wisconsin: It's rare that a rookie can step in
and play left tackle right away (San Diego's Marcus McNeill did it in 2006),
but Thomas looks to be that type of player. If he's available, look for
Cleveland (No. 3 or No. 4) or Arizona (No. 5) to grab him.

Adrian Peterson, running back, Oklahoma: He's already good enough to
supplant at least half the starting running backs in the NFL. He doesn't
waste a lot of time by dancing in the backfield, just makes one cut and hits
the hole. He's fast and doesn't shy from contact.

Alan Branch, defensive tackle, Michigan: At 6 feet 5 inches, 330 pounds,
Branch blots the sun as a run stopper and is quick enough to get to the
quarterback. He opted to skip his senior season and is a probable top-10
selection.

LaRon Landry, safety, Louisiana State: Landry might not be the top safety on
every team's board, but many scouts see him as the elite player at his
position. He was a four-year starter in college and his team's top tackler
as a senior.

Five gambles

JaMarcus Russell, LSU: He had a spectacular Sugar Bowl in which he upstaged
Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn. Russell will have one of the NFL's
strongest arms right away, but his decision-making is a question mark. He's
a little quick to evacuate the pocket, and he had some lousy games to go
along with his good ones.

Brady Quinn, Notre Dame: Last year, Matt Leinart was the star quarterback
who slipped down the draft board. This year, it could be Quinn. He's a good
leader who's accurate when protected, but he can get rattled under pressure.
That will scare off some teams.

Tony Ugoh, offensive tackle, Arkansas: Uncommonly quick at 6-6, 300 pounds,
this big Hog has attracted a lot of attention. Scouts wonder, though, if the
former track-and-field thrower is simply a one-year wonder.

Isaiah Stanback, quarterback, Washington: A scrambler whose college career
was cut short by a sprained foot, he sees himself as a quarterback. Former
Huskies quarterback Warren Moon sees him that way, too. Others think he's a
better fit as a receiver.

Marcus McCauley, cornerback, Fresno State: Projected as a first-round pick
last year, he took a step back as a senior. McCauley has a great build for
the position and he is very fast, but he lost his confidence and focus this
past season.

NFL NEWS FROM THE CHARGERS:
SAN DIEGO (Feb. 13, 2007) -- The Chargers received permission to interview four candidates to replace fired head coach Marty Schottenheimer, including one-time San Diego offensive coordinator Norv Turner.

Turner was offensive coordinator with the Chargers in 2001. He's currently the offensive coordinator of the San Francisco 49ers. He interviewed for the Dallas Cowboys' head coaching job that went to Wade Phillips, the Chargers' former defensive coordinator.

The Chargers also received permission to interview Hall of Famer 49ers assistant head coach Mike Singletary and Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Ron Rivera, both of whom interviewed for the Cowboys job. The fourth candidate is Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Rex Ryan.

The Chargers did not say when the candidates would be interviewed.
Schottenheimer was fired Feb. 12 by team president Dean Spanos, who cited a "dysfunctional situation" between Schottenheimer and general manager A.J. Smith.

The Chargers were an NFL-best 14-2 before losing their playoff opener to New England.

yeah he would. But the Chargers dont have good enough saefties right now to run the Cover 2, thats the only problem with Rivera..But if they get the safeties he can bring over the 2 with the speed SD has..

the three i highlighted have the  best chance IMO

Ryan and the Ravens ran the same type of defense and hed fit in well
Turner would be the best fit IMO even tho i hope he doesnt get it. Hed be huge to help Rivers keep developing, he runs the same type of offense iN SF that they run in SD pretty much, and he has been there before and LT likes him alot, plus hes familiar with what the Chargers like to do...
I say Gibbs because he did alot with a noname Saints defense this year, Hes well respected and he wouldnt demand alot of money or control, AJ smith has totalk control of the Chargers and less money is always a positive..

What will be the trends in the NFL this offseason?

1. Waiting for a better wave: Watch for the top teams to skip free agency's expensive first wave. The Colts, Patriots, Bengals, Chargers, Eagles, Ravens, Panthers and others probably will sit out the big spending. Their money will go into re-signings. Fans might be antsy if their home teams don't go big into free agency, but spending in free agency doesn't necessary translate into victories. The Colts won a Super Bowl by adding only kicker Adam Vinatieri, who signed for $2.4 million a year. The Chargers added only safety Marlon McCree and backup tight end Aaron Shea and won 14 games. The Patriots went to the AFC Championship Game and their net gain out of free agency was Reche Caldwell, who made $900,000 last year.

2. No time to waste: The big spending will go quickly. Expect most of the top players to be signed between March 2 and March 9. Already, agents for top players are getting feelers from teams. With most positions being only two to four players deep, agents for those players are being recruited. Meetings at next week's combine in Indianapolis already are being booked. Top interior linemen will get close to $6 million a year. Top corners could go between $7 million and $8 million a year. Top defensive ends should easily get $7 million. The key for all teams is identifying the top group and not slipping average players into the top pay scale.

3. More teams playing tag? With those prices in mind, more teams will use the franchise tag. It's better to keep an unhappy franchise player for a year than lose him to free agency. The Bengals were the first team to give the franchise tag by keeping defensive end Justin Smith. Defensive end Dwight Freeney (Indianapolis), cornerback Asante Samuel (New England), kicker Josh Brown (Seattle), linebacker Lance Briggs (Chicago), defensive end Charles Grant (New Orleans) and defensive tackle Cory Redding (Detroit) are the main candidates. I'd be surprised if the Ravens didn't franchise linebacker Adalius Thomas. Players don't like the franchise tag. If a long-term deal isn't reached by March 15, the player usually holds out until the start of the regular season or works out a deal to report in time by not being tagged the next year. In this market, though, there is no way to replace a top player at a position cheaply. It's cheaper to keep a player for a year than lose him if no deal can be worked out.

4. Trades becoming the trend? If teams are less active in free agency, they might be more active in the trade market. We saw that last year. Trades escalated slightly, and a rule change helped matters. After June 1, teams that trade players have to account for only the existing signing bonus proration in the cap. Excess proration would count the next season. Teams close to the salary cap have an easier ability to make a trade. But with teams having so much cap room, teams will be more willing to take all the cap hits now. The Saints did a great job with that last year. They made numerous trades. Even though they have $9 million of dead money in 2007, they have $21 million of cap room. Usually third-year players heading toward the end of their rookie contracts are the most likely to be traded if they aren't starting for the team that drafted them. Financially, a lot of the traded players are considered bargains, and if they have multiple years left on their contracts, they are truly bargains.

5. New coaches must proceed with caution:It will be interesting watching the seven teams with new head coaches. Normally, new head coaches change between 20 and 30 players during the first year on the job. In this market, it's dangerous to make that many changes. The replacement player might not be as good as the departed player, so head coaches have to be cautious in bringing in their own players.

6. Niners on the prowl: The team to watch in free agency is the 49ers. They have $37 million of cap room and the desire to get better on defense. Expect them to sign two top defensive players.

7. Different approach for Redskins' Snyder? Even though this would be Dan Snyder's type of market, watch for a change in the Redskins' strategy. Snyder and Joe Gibbs are starting to realize the dangers of free agency. Wide receiver Brandon Lloyd and safety Adam Archuleta didn't work out last year. Plus, it's becoming harder and harder to get players in the restricted free agency market. The Redskins will be shopping their first-round pick at the combine with the idea of moving down and getting more draft picks. They will dabble in free agency but not as aggressively as in the past.

8. New premium positions: The biggest change in free agency is how priorities will change in the new era of new money. The cap is $109 million this year and expected to go up $7 million a year over the next couple of seasons. Free agency has taught us the prime money positions are quarterback, cornerback, wide receiver, defensive end and left tackle. The positions devalued have been guard, safety, fullback and tight end. Because teams don't like to overpay guards and safeties, those will be the positions of impact -- believe it or not -- in this new era of free agency. Guard Steve Hutchinson got $7 million to go to Minnesota. Eric Steinbach of the Bengals, Kris Dielman of the Chargers and Derrick Dockery of the Redskins are considered guards who could have an impact on an offensive line. Also watch for centers Andre Gurode (Cowboys) and Shaun O'Hara (Giants) to stay with their teams for around $4 million a year in deals that could get done in the next two weeks.

9. RBs sharing the wealth: This running back market is a little bit funky. Most of the free-agent backs -- Dominic Rhodes of the Colts, Chris Brown of the Titans, LaBrandon Toefield of the Jaguars, Correll Buckhalter of the Eagles and T.J. Duckett of the Redskins -- haven't convinced teams they are good enough to be feature backs. But these are valuable 1-A type of backs who fit the trend of going to a shared backfield. Their costs will set the market for how two-back offenses can operate financially. The Ravens also are expected to cut Jamal Lewis, and his market will be interesting to watch. Ahman Green probably will re-sign with the Packers.

10. Few big catches: It's not a star-studded receiver market. The Lions are expected to go after Rams receiver Kevin Curtis after giving Mike Furrey a three-year, $9.25 million contract. The Titans don't want to lose wide receiver Drew Bennett, but he's a deceptive possession receiver who will draw a lot of interest. For speed, there are Ashley Lelie of the Falcons and Donte' Stallworth of the Eagles

The Denver Post reports RB Tatum Bell and QB Jake Plummer could be joining HC Gary Kubiak in Houston. The Texans are interested in Plummer. Whether through trade or release, Plummer is likely to end up with Kubiak. There is talk the Broncos and Texans will discuss a trade that would send Plummer, Bell and an early-round draft pick to Houston for the No. 8 overall pick and perhaps a player. This scenario makes some sense. The Texans brass likes Bell, and he could help Houston. The Broncos are expected to look for a bigger back, and because they like the potential of RB Mike Bell, RB Tatum Bell could be expendable

Raiders head coach Lane Kiffin is reportedly telling people that he's on speaking terms with Randy Moss and that the two have had a "good talk."

ESPN has now confirmed the story about the phone conversation at the Senior Bowl, where Moss told Kiffin he didn't want to play for a 31-year-old coach. Of course there's no telling if the fact that Kiffin and Moss are now having "good talks" will have an impact on whether Moss is traded, considering it would net the Raiders $7.7 million in cap savings. An unnamed police department source told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that "We think the link (to Pacman) is strong, but we haven’t been able to verify it."

The owner of the club in question vehemently insists that Jones and his girlfriend came and left with the shooter at the club. In related news, a search warrant reveals that a promoter may have stolen a trash ball full of Jones' money, containing $81,000, which was the original source of the altercation. The cash was reportedly intended to "Make it Rain" or throw in the air, but it was only intended for visual effect, not for the dancers to take. When a dancer took the bag, Jones reportedly grabbed a dancer, security grabbed Jones, and the melee ensued. Feb. 22 - 9:17 am et

The Ravens have chosen not to place the franchise tag on Pro Bowl LB Adalius Thomas.

Thomas is about to become a very rich man. With at least 3-4 teams interested in him, a signing bonus between $15-$20 million wouldn't shock us. Only Nate Clements may make more this month. He's unlikely to return to Baltimore because they don't have the cap room.

Ted Ginn Jr. told reporters at the Combine during a press conference Thursday that he's willing to play cornerback in the NFL in addition to his receiver duties.

He entered Ohio State as a star high school defensive back and there were rumors he wanted to play corner full time as a professional. Ginn is not running or lifting at the Combine as his sprained left foot recovers. He'll be drafted as a wideout of course, but his flexiblity with returns and possible defense can't hurt his stock.

Patrick Kearney is gonna be a Free Agent as he is gonna void the last year of his contract. He will be the top DE on the market IMO along with Chris Kelsey from Buffalo..I wonder what kind of money these 2 will get considering Vonnie Holiday just signed a 4 yr 20 Mill deal to stay with the Dolphins. Damn why couldnt have played like this with the Niners?  :-\

Jamal Lewis looks like he is gonna get cut so the Ravens dont have to pay him the 5 mill rost bonus he is owed, then they wanna resgin him for less just like last offseason.

Micheal Turner will not be resigned before the free agent deadline, looks like they are trying to tender him for a trade.

Brett Favre underwent succsessful surgery, congrats Brett.  :D

Profootballtalk.com reports that after the Raiders asked the Packers for a first-round pick in exchange for Randy Moss, Green Bay countered by offering Aaron Rodgers.

The Raiders need a quarterback with Andrew Walter the lone signed QB on their roster, and Lane Kiffin might be willing to take a flier on Rodgers to develop and possibly push to start. It appears Green Bay and Oakland are in serious conversations about making a trade involving Moss

That would be funny because Oakland had a chance to draft Aaron Rodgers.

The Falcons offered the highest tender possible to restricted free agent Matt Schaub, making it unlikely he'll sign an offer sheet with another team.

A team would have to give up a first and third round pick to sign Schaub through free agency. While that's unlikely, teams can deal directly with Atlanta if they want to land Schaub in a trade. We think he's still likely to get moved.

Broncos acquired CB Dre Bly for Tatum Bell and T George Foster.

It will become official Friday. No one works the trade market better than Mike Shanahan and GM Ted Sundquist. They got a Pro Bowl quality player at a position of need in exchange for spare parts they weren't going to use. Champ Bailey, Bly, and Dominique Foxworth will make a great trio. The Broncos will start working on a long-term deal for Bly.

The Steelers today released linebacker Joey Porter, their best overall defensive player in the 21st century whose play helped win them a Super Bowl 13 months ago.

Porter was due a $1 million roster bonus by Tuesday and $4 million in salary in the final year of his contract. That, coupled with the fact he was a potential contract holdout this year, prompted the Steelers to release him.

Porter has been their starting right outside linebacker since 2000, the year after they drafted him.

good trade for both teams. The Broncos got the CB they need opposite of Champ, damn what a CB combo they have now. And now they can focus on Mike Bell as there #1 back if they choose. The Lions got a RB they need with Jones being injuured all the time and not being reliable enough and consistent enough. Tatum Bell should get more carries then he got in Denver and could def be the #1 back.

By the way there's talk about Denver Pursuing Willis Migahee(spelling?). They're talking about trading a 3rd rounder and a starting linebacker for the guy.

If the Raiders use the Clements scale, Jeff Garcia will be signed to a 5
year, $150m contract tomorrow.

Clements was a nice signing, assuming the contract isn't salary cap
prohibitive and assuming he doesn't fold under the pressure.

Clements isn't one of the top 25 defensive players in the NFL, but he's the
highest paid.

Michael Lewis was a nice signing too... he's a talented safety.

Losing out on Adalius was huge though.  He was the best free agent by far
and would have gone a long way for the Whiners.  The good news for the
Whiners is, Joey Porter and Donnie Edwards are still around.

contract talks with him broke down last min, and boom off 2 denver. shit's fucked up. we got a lot of cash to spend, and so far all we've done is re-sign 4 of our backups. now with henry gone, we got a HUGE hole at RB, and we got some serious holes at WR as well. I was thinking the same thing. WTF they doin? HOW U LET HENRY GO???? The Bills were stupid to do it, but the Titans are even dumber. Do they think Vince can win alone? I think they are putting to much on his young shoulders. Bennett was replacable. But Henry? Im almost 100% sure the RB they start wont be as productive as T. Henry he had 1200 yds with 7 td's avg 4.5 per carry. HOW DO U LET THAT GO??? Im really in shock here.  Many Holes the Titans need to fill as well like u said. Any word about a possible Rb to bring in?

Travis Henry will be HUGE for the Broncos. He will def be there #1 back with Mike Bell at the #2. Another 1200 yd year and probably over ten td's with a better o-line. Damn Denver is making moves. First Bly, now this.

Another big moce today was Seattle signing Kearney to a 6 yr deal. THey got the pass rusher they have been lacking. Peterson did have 9 sacks but hes a guy that u want more in coverage.

Wes Welker was signed by the Pats for 5 years. Good move for the Pats, theyll have some SPEED at Wr now, they are also in talks with Stallworth. And despite rumors MoSav's sources tell him there has been no discussion at all between the Raiders and Pats. Most likely the Raiders are gonna be stuck with him, because no team is willing to give up that much to get him.

Daniel Graham signed with Denver, another big signing for Denver as they keep loading up, they need a Go to TE, thats what he is.

Joe Horn signed with the Falcons. I think he'll be good as long as he stays healthy, hell give Vick a target that he feels comfortable with. Alge Crumpler has always been his go to guy, but u need a WR that u can count on, and thats what Horn can be. He can also help Rodney White and Mike Jenkins become better, as they both drop alot of passes. But Horn imo is still past his prime. But i can see barrin gany injuries. 8-900 yds and 60 catches with 7-8 td's. A few years ago he had 97 catches 10 td's and over 1300 yds

titans still moving slowly. 1 guy i think we are going to sign is colts CB Nick Harper. that will be a very good fit. right now the RB situation is fucked up. Lendale White is the only RB on the roster. I think he can be decent, just not yet. bringing back Chris Brown is an option (hes been good 4 us, just injury prone, and that's the reason henry toke over). I'm not even too sure who's out there at RB. I would of accepted Rhodes or Droughns but both went places 2day. We also need help at DE & WR. 1 of them will be a 1st round draft pick, the other i assume will be a signing. Donte Stallworth, Grant Wistrom, Ryan Bowens i'm hoping for.

Raiders making moves the past couple of days. We got Justin Griffith from Atlanta

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2793894

Very good blocking fullback. We are improving that backfield and it will give some extra blocking for the quarterback, and he can catch the ball well out of the backfield and red zone.

OFFENSIVE LINE ANYONE??? Thats the biggest weakness, probably more so then defense. Its nice to have 2 good backs and a good fullback, but if that O-line doesnt get better none of this will matter in the grand scheme of things. They'll keep losing games 17-13

We also need help at DE & WR. 1 of them will be a 1st round draft pick, the other i assume will be a signing. Donte Stallworth, Grant Wistrom, Ryan Bowens i'm hoping for.
I heard they might sit on some money this year, cuz they feel the Free Agent pool might be deeper nexr year

heard about that as well. i don't mind it, but don't stay out completely. sign at least 2 players. we shuld sign Nick Harper, and some DE.

I think Nick Harper is gonna be signed for sure. There arent many De's out there. Maybe Wistrom? They could also trade for Jared Allen from KC, who i heard wants out of KC. Hes the best option 3 years 27.5 sacks!
I dont think Stallworth will end up there, he seems to be headed to the Pats or Phins...

titans still moving slowly. 1 guy i think we are going to sign is colts CB Nick Harper. that will be a very good fit. right now the RB situation is fucked up. Lendale White is the only RB on the roster. Yea, I also think harper for sure. It would be a big blow to me personally if we don't get him. Wistrom is an option for sure. I think Allen is staying in KC. They said they wouldn't trade him. Stallworth visited us along with the 2 mentioned, but I think he'll end up with the pats. I don't mind to much if we don't sign Dante, as the draft is WR-heavy, and at the 19th pick were likely to get the 3rd/4th best 1 available. Robert Meachem would be nice, and its realistic.

Oh I am screaming the same thing. Not too many OL free agent left and I hope with our other draft picks or trades we address that area.

If they can shore up that O-Line, there not in bad shape at all. Even Andrew Walter can play if he gets some time to throw

Donnie Edwards signed a 3 yr deal with KC. They are really imprving at LB. Harris, D. Johnson and Edwards will be a nice trio for Herm.
This is his 2nd stint in KC

tell me about it. Nice pickup tho, hes a very good physical corner. But hes been playing the Cover 2, most of his career. The Titans dont run the 2, so itll be interesting to see how he adjusts
