i think Joell surprised so many people he came so great that since the album just dropped, he has a little extra hype.

but i go Crooked I (10/10) > Royce (9.5/10) > Joell (9.2/10) > Joey (8.9/10) lol.

point being, you can make all the orders you want, they all spit amazing shit, just some came SLIGHTLY better than others.

my point exactly, people got outshined at moments, but nobody came weak once.

truly amazing. 8)

LOL, i am sorry but i don't hear Jimmy at all lol.

maybe it's just because Jim Jones couldn't spit like that if his life depended on it.

when he says "cuttin' you loose" & the end of his verse i hear PLENTY of Jim Jones lol.

Joey might have said it lightly going into his verse, maybe the two together brought out some Jimmy lol.

(pauses) - I never did get why that was going on. Lol. It's the new thing to do on his site. I think Joell was the meanest on this album, and I use to think he was the weak link.

Yeah i dont know why people slept on ortiz so much.I even opened up an official thread for him a while back with links to tons of music. The guy is a beast. That being said crook still had it for me hands down.If you break his lyrics down from a technical stand point theirs isnt an emcee that can touch him then songs like rain drops where he just pours emotion into the song he is the complete package.Ive never heard a song he sounds out of place in and he that ability that he just makes songs better even with weak beats.

Crooked H was the best on the album.

Crooked I stole the show on all the leaked Slaughter House tracks but the album cuts didn't really let him show how hard he really goes.

When the group was first formed I was excited cuz I'm a huge fan of both Joe Budden and Crooked I. And I fucks with Royce cuz I used to like him (became a fan around his Destory & Rebuild era). The only person I wasn't familiar with was Joell Ortiz. After listening to the album...I think Joell came the sickest. Dude is so fuckin witty its almost unfair.

I must say, I'm really disappointed at how they formatted the songs. Seems like Royce started every song and Joey ended it. If they were going to go with a common order it should've been: Budden (has that energy in his voice to pull you in), Royce (to take it up a notch with that lyrical shit and to make way for...), Crooked I (...him and Royce are so fuckin sick when they go back to back, sometimes its almost hard to tell them apart - Check "Microphone), then Joell (homerun hitter).

lol, who voted Budden ?

I think Royce & Crooked came the hardest, as predicted.
Ortiz probably gets a lot of votes because people didn't know what he was good for, but he's not quite Crook/Royce level, yet.

Agreed.Everybody was sleeping on the guy because they didnt know who he was now they realize hes dope and their over compensating by calling him the best in the group.

Nah Ortiz was better than Royce & Crook. Those 2 tend to be off beat and spitting random shit.

I feel Royce and Budden were playing the background to let Crooked and Joell shine or so it seems.

I think Royce and Joell came hardest. To be honest Im not surprised either. I think too many of you slept on Joell, calling him the weakest link, you really need to check his album. And Royce has just been on fire recently

he's a bigger name than Joell Ortiz & Crooked I.

maybe on this board Crooked I is talked about in just about every thread, but the average listener is clueless to Crooked; they know Pump It Up though.

Royce and Crooked are boring after a while imo. They get too cuaght up in the technicalities whereas Ortiz just comes off as fresh. Hes the best in the group imo.

No not EVERYBODY was sleeping on Ortiz, I'm a huge fan...and I was surprised how hard Joell came, and he was funny as hell too, as soon as Sound Off started he blew me away.

What I liked about this album is that it proved how whack Joe Budden is, it was almost like a fart in the face of the most die hard Buddden fans.  :-X
Saying Padded Room was good is the lamest, unexcusable excuse ever, he knew he HAD to bring his A-game to compete/shine....oh wait we are talking about a rapper who never heard any Crooked I song before meeting him in real life, no joke hahaha!!!
Even if he tries to spit some stuff with substance, he manages to get boring with his whack nasal, primitive, whining voice...I'm not hating though, I really like Joe Buddden... as a stand-up comedian  :)

joe budden was the weakest on this album , Joell Ortiz was definately the standout period .  joe budden needs to quit .
