This song was brought up a few months ago, its tight as fuck dope chorus from Quik, so some of the newbies should check this track out if u havnt heard it.
-
Actyually, this is a CLASSIC song, one of the few from this camp that coulda actually blown up nationwide, everyone i play this song for loves this shit...........coulda been huge in the clubs, and they never even released it!!!! Thats why i dont get these rap guys, they dont release some of the best shit and put out average material a lot of the time
-
yea I could have seen this song blowin up in the club scene they shoulda made a video for it
-
I love this song, Quik killed it with the hook
"I wanna be so deep that you believe in meee, inside out.....oh darling........yeah yeah yeahhh"

ya thats his best verse after his one on "Speed"
-
Smerlus hook me up with the track. after listening to it, its a good song im feeling it. they should release it.
-
I highly doubt it will be released, it was made in like 97/98 and it would have appeared on an album by now.
-
They CANT release it , due to the fact that DJ Quik sampled off the band Oasis and they are not giving permission for them to re-due there song.
-
you sure that was the name of the oasis song because i can't find it

The one off "The Features" cuts off in the middle of Suga Free's last verse.
-
this was on a cd came with 4 unreleased songs on it the guy who ripped it told me he baught it off some website back in the day. It was some gold release or something some promo for rythmalism
-
hmmm, im feeling the song, but i think quik released songs that had a greater chance to fit mainstream
the only one i can call right now, without looking it up, would be "run up, done up" - by hi-c
IF hi-c would have had already mainstream success, lets just pretend he isnt hi-c - hi is sean paul for example, then this song would hit like a bomb!
thats the problem with mainstream, if your name is known, you can release one hit after the other - ppl will love, and will ask for more
you can even release shit, if your name is big enough, ppl will ove it, if one can dance to it somehow
but if youre a unknown guy (compared to the mainstream), you can release whatever you want, can be brilliant - but youll be overseen - nobody notices you
hi-c - whos that?
thats what the djs would ask if i asked them...
even when i asked for some quik-tracks like "do watcha want" - that track also got big mainstream potential
when i play those songs on party (about 100ppl) the ppl freak out, as soon as they got the chorus,
and its great to dance to - IF you wanna dance ("gangstas dont dance - we boogie" ;D)
even songs like "trouble - remix" would hit - im sure on that...
thats why im happy that i listen to whatever _I_ like, not what 'in' or so...
but it makes me sick, that quik doesnt get the appreciation he deserves..... and other mainstream artists who only release shit are in the top 10 and are played in the club all the time, JUST b/c they bribe some radio and club-djs... - and i really think thats the way how some ppl achieve their success >:(
oops, i got off topic - but still wanted to say this ;D
-
hold up for a second, dj quik sampled an oasis song for this! any one got the original or the real title of it?
-
ya i was the one who brought it up a few months ago. classic song. gotta thank wsconnected187 for hooking it up.
peace

OMG I downloaded 730 and it's :o :o :o :o :o
I can't believe neither Talib Kweli or DJ Quik released this shit. Incredible.
-
Does anyone agree with me that this is the best DJ Quik song ever?

Nah, but it's still a hot song. I like a lot of other Quik songs more than this one.

Not really. The song is called " Get 2gether" and its on his 1998 album Rythm-Al-Ism.
