Excluding 50's "Get Rich Or Die Tryin". I'm talkin' about the group, not the record label.
-
Young Buck- Straight Outta Cashville
-
I give "Hunger for More" the slight edge over "Straight Outta Cashville"
-
Hot ass production on yayos album, imo he had the best beats 8)

Young Buck- Straight Outta Cashville
I gotta go with this one, I used to feel Hunger For More was better back in summer '04 when I had both albums in rotation but after all these years I find myself playing SOC more
Yayo's album did have better production than both though
-
i think the young buck - best overall, more bangers than banks, although i'm so fly was sick. yayo's has some dope beats but it's yayo, pretty annoying rapper.
first 2/3 of the young buck is outstanding - feeling 'let me in' and 'shorty wanna ride' the most, but there are plenty of smoother and more street joints. 'do it like me' another crazy one.
-
Young Buck- Straight Outta Cashville

I've listened to all of them, but I can't remember a single song.

I've listened to all of them, but I can't remember a single song.
that's right.
-
Buck
Yayo did have some great production (and 50 was featured on 2/3 singles) - the same shit they tried to discredit game for. Yet his album sounded like shit because of his voice lol
-

yeah word. yall should peep this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ld2mxoYs03s
but yayo is .. uuh.. yayo.. so he cant have that title.
I would prefer Straight Outta Cashville.
-

hell yeah...yayo dropped a sleeper..
i never fucked with buck...he always been trash to me...bought it neway...sounded good in the trunk...
-
it's cashville all day, everyday. very solid
-
the hunger for more 8)
-
straight outta cashville!!

The Documentary
-
Young Buck- Straight Outta Cashville
No doubt.

Yeah Yayo's album gets too much hate. He had some bangers on there, Focus' best beat ever in my opinion. I gotta go with Banks for this though, good memories with that album.

Buck

The difference is 50 only wrote the hook for "I Know You Don't Love Me" and Yayo wrote the rest of the shit. On The Documentary 50 created / wrote the hook on "Hate It Or Love It", "How We Do", "Westside Story", "Special", "Higher" and "Church For Thugs" if I'm not mistaken.

It's not hate, I just wanted a instrumental of the album and never got one. Yayo is got gabbage on the mic lol.

Read what the people involved say about it they selves.. including Game and Angelo.
Straight Outta Cashville is the best to me.. Banks' had 6 real good songs (the 1st 2, and last 4), Yayo had a couple like "Live By The Gun", "Homicide" and "Dear Suzie" which are hella nice.

ok, so add "Special" and "Church For Thugs" to the list of songs 50 wrote... as for the rest, all I read was that the beats were originally for 50
-
dunno
banks album was better lyricaly. "cashville" had more bangers
-
The Documentary
lol, word. Not even close.
-
outta the three listed as an album, straight outta cashville EASILY, at the time and today. Documentary was better than all three though.
-
I don't care about 50 writing those hooks. Mute the hooks and the songs are still bangers
Yayo is in reverse, mute the verses and play the hooks lol. I mixed a version of drama setter with just eminem and obie trice and its amazing how much better the song is.
-
Honestly, it's
Get Rich Or Die Trying
The Documentary
And which one is better is a toss up.
Then it'll be,
Hunger For More
Straight Outta Cashville
and which one is better is a toss up.
Then it would be yayos
-
The Documentary
lol, word. Not even close.
+1

I'm still shocked that people can like Yayo's album... Dude is one of the worst rappers, EVER. He makes song unlistenable, completely unlistenable.
Oh, and I see people mentioning Game's debut, was he in the group - like official?
-

Man I really don't think he's that bad, he's not an amazing emcee but he's not complete garbage
-
Yayo's debut was no bad. The beats & features carried it, but he held his own on his solo songs.

He released "the rehab" shit was average aside from a few joints. Buck the world was def the best g unit follow up album

No hate here from me. Yayo's guest appearances on Buck's, Banks, Game's albums>Thoughts Of A Predicate Felon the entire album. Got nothing remotely close to that on his album and it made for a very flat sounding album minus 3-5 joints.
-
Of those mentioned I would say Straight Outta Cashville but The Documentary was my favorite G Unit release.
-

Yeah Yayo was killing everything before it actually came to dropping his album, his mixtape before the album was dope too.
-
Out of that list, Straight Outta Cashville.
But from G-Unit overall either Game's Documentary or Spider Loc's Da 1 U Luv 2 Hate.

We talkin' about the group G-Unit, not the record label. I don't think Spider Loc's album was even released on G-Unit.

I think you missed the part of my post where I said I picked SOC.
I know this is for the group, but I just wanted to add my favorite release from G-Unit while I was at it.
-
It sucks what's happened to buck, he dropped two great albums. Neither was classic but they were solid releases. He showed growth on the second album. Lose my mind is prob my fav song by him. His delivery was amazing
-
Banks is my fav, but his albums werent that great. Rotten apple gets too much hate though, some of my favorite banks songs are on it.
As for yayo he's not as bad as some people make him out to be. Live by the gun, though mostly carried by focus' s amazing beat was a great track. Homicide was dope too, prob my second fab song on it. Now that I think of it it had quite a few dope songs, homicide, live by the gun, pimpin, I'm so high, I know you don't love me.
And I know it's not a solo album but the sdtrk for grodt was my fav g unit release

No. He wasn't in the group. Just on the label.

+1 on the Rotten Apple comment, love that album as well.

Well on the CD it says G-Unit West...

ok, so add "Special" and "Church For Thugs" to the list of songs 50 wrote... as for the rest, all I read was that the beats were originally for 50
The Game: “‘Westside Story’ was supposed to go on the All About The Benjamins soundtrack. But Dre was like, ‘Nah, this shit is too hard for the soundtrack. This the first song on the album.’ [That song was written in 2002 but] I never went back and edited the lyrics. We just kept it, and [later] 50 came in, heard the shit, and wrote the hook for it. Wasn’t none of them shits 50’s records. 50 came in after all of the records were already damn near done and he put his 50 Cent on them. I wasn’t [a part of G-Unit yet]."
What about this?
And for "Higher":
"The Game: “‘Higher’ was 50’s song, I’m talking about the beat. When I walked in the studio and [I heard the beat], I was like, ‘Who’s shit is this?’ I thought the shit was crazy. Dre was like, ‘I made it for 50, but he ain’t like it, so you can have it if you want.’ So I wrote all three of them verses right there. It probably took like a half-an-hour. That shit was too easy to rap over."
He's just talking about writing the verses.. doesn't mention the hook.. why not? We can speculate.. lol

yayo album is so underrated
i remember when g-unit first came out people was praisin how much of a beast he was...

I agree somewhat. Yayo is definitely limited as an artist but that album had a lot of banging songs. It had a few wack ones like dear suzie. But I still listen to it a few times a year

i say that shit all the time when yayo comes up in barbershop convos...when it was the g unit mix days niggas talked like yayo was so damn hard on the mic
-

yep I remember this too. Everyone was waiting for yayo to come out and release an album because he was the "sickest" one out of g unit... people flip like crazy
-
I remember that too. I never saw that he was always my least favorite.
I miss young buck. His two albums are amazing

his album imo had waaaaaaaaaay more replay value, than lloyds, bucks, n game
i can let it play all the way thru... with some good herb and bottle of camus...album had some trunk action too...
its the only member album i didnt toss out on i-10
i never cut 4 buck...he been trash way back when he was runnin wit juvie
-
Yayo did not bring it lyrically like he did on previous mixtapes once his album came out. That was the disappointing thing for me.
-
Nah now you trippin 3rd. Yayo had the worst member album. I still enjoyed it though.
But bucks dope and so are his albums, never understood your hatred of him

Haha for real he was the next big thing, people were fiending over freestyles he was recording over the phone from jail. I've always liked his album and I'm interested in seeing what he can bring to the table 2nd time round
yep I remember this too. Everyone was waiting for yayo to come out and release an album because he was the "sickest" one out of g unit... people flip like crazy

This is no contest......
Game - "The Documentary"
end of thread
-
I can't believe how you can say Yayo's album is underrated when he's such a shitty rapper. Lyrics > beats.
-
some albums are made for the trunk...hood niggas...
i dont expect no lyricism out of em....
-

props....not everything is for your computer speakers.
FACT: yayo is the only rapper to include the word "infamil" (baby forumla) in his raps....for that alone he gets a tip of my hat.
-
yayo is just a terrible rapper cant listen to any of his shit
im going to go with the hunger for more, on fire and when the chips are down where in constant play for me back then
-
although cashville was a solid as fuck album
