drumroll please.......
X to da Z...has moved up from number 2 to number one on my list. I just heard his snippets, and Man vs. Machine is going to be a classic.
This isn't a nock on Eminem. Eminem was my favorite rapper ever since I bought the Slim Shady LP Feb. 23, 1999. But Eminem is rich now and he's harder to relate to then he used to be, my life was similar to Em's back in the day, but now Eminem's rich and I don't hate him for it.
Favorite Rappers-
(2pac if He Was Alive)
1. Xzibit
2. Eminem
3. Snoop
4. Nas

Xzibit is hard but it was a big let down on Restless.. but now that ive heard the sampler and everything i believe hes going back to his old ways, not the At The Speed Of Life or 40 Dayz 40 Nightz, but close... and instead of Nas, put Biggie and insteadof Snoop, put Scarface and you got my list...
-
Good choice to dont put 2 Pac in the top 5, but still consider him as one of the best, thats the mistake a lot of peeps do, I dont really have a top 5, i change every week, well its ... Snoop, Kurupt, Daz, Nate DOgg and Eminem but not really in order.., but looks like dat

I Loved Restless, Tha Last Meal and Chronic 2001, I dont care bout their past, its still good, fuck going back, going ahead is better

Did Techniec ever release an album?
-
I prefer Xzibit over Em too. I just think in his three albums, he has put out more quality songs than EMinem's three.
-
Going Ahead Is Good when your not Snoop Dogg because he seriously needs to go back to Doggystyle days...
-
Did Techniec ever release an album?
na but i've loved every single song i've heard him on.......just thinking about a solo album makes me cum
-
Well Snoop made a lot of good thangs AFTER the Doggystyle Days, he needs to do it more often but we'll see with his new album
-
My list goes like this:
1. Ras Kass
2. Xzibit
3. Crooked i
4. Nas

Word....(except for the cum part)
-
Damn, Xzibit used to be in my top 5, but.......well, i am pissed off! He said he was gonna step up his lyrics for this release, but by the songs released, it sounds like a step DOWN. Plus, the four songs we have heard sound to me like some songs that weren't even good enough for Restless.........i mean, they are tight songs, but nothing that gives you that feeling like DAMN.....
-
pac
Nas
Em
Dre
Cube

Bez why the fuck do u have Fag Rule and Nelly in your pic.lol...
Anyway i feel the same way as infinite on this one...

Xzibit has always been my favorite rapper...
1.Xzibit
2.Rakim
3.Eminem
4.Ras Kass
-
Dang.. everyone is quick to call someone a G.O.A.T, Xzibit hasnt made enough effect or changed the game enough for him to be called a G.O.A.T, if you want to call someone a G.O.A.T then consider Rakim, Scarface, Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg(Even Though He Sucks Now).. people who have been around in the game for a long time and made a big difference...
-
1 SISQO
2 DANNY BOY
3 USHER
4 JON B
5 JUSTIN TIMBALAKE
-

Mayn, we talkin rappers, not producers or shizzle-izzles.

Fuck!!!! What is with you guys? Just cuz someone don't think X to tha Z is the GOAT, does not mean they think Snoop is the GOAT! Besides, don't you have to have at least one undeniable classic under your belt to be considered the best of all time? I mean, Xzibit is one of my favourites, and he has never dropped a waack album, but none are classic.....he has never even got close to changing the game (but the game sure changes him.....). I am sure Xzibit will drop another tight cd (although the sampler is WACK), and he will keep his position as a very good rapper, one of the best in the game, but he will be hardpressed to be top 50 overall when all is said and done......

"At the Speed of Life" is a classic...It changed the game by introducing Xzibit to the world and adding some West Coast too the Underground scene....
"40 Dayz and 40 Nightz" is extremely near classic and will be considered classic one day...
"Restless" is a solid album, pretty dope if u ask me...

Fuck all this who is the goat shit, just imagine what Rakim, Xzibit, Ras Kass, Defari & King Tee over a Dre & Hi-Tek produced joint would sound like. Now that would be the G.O.A.T. track.
-
Xzibit is dope but I think dude is overrated a little...None of his albums are classic and his lyrics are nothing special...The best thing about him is his delivery...He's dropped some dope verses like on Bitch Please but when compared to Eminem he loses in every category...Lyrics, flow, delivery, rhyme schemes...etc...His voice is better though...
-
1. Snoop Dogg(GOAT)
2. Biggie
3. Xzibit
4. Ice Cube
5. Dr. Dre
-
Xzibit is definitely in my Top 5 M.C.'s living and probably Top 10 of all time. All his albums were tight even Restless. I haven't heard the sampler but the two songs I've heard are ill.
Since this thread has somehow changed into a list of favorite rappers:
1. 2Pac/Scarface
2. Ice Cube
3. Redman
4. Xzibit
-
A lotta people don't like "Restless" for some for some reason. I liked it a lot better that 40 dayz...or speed of light. Man vs. Machine will be his best work to date.

You wouldnt say that if you cared more about rhymes than beats.

Xzibit is also killing his guest appearances. His verses on "Some Of 'Em" and "The Streets [Remix]" were off the hook and the only M.C. that is touching him right now is Nas.
-
I remember like a couple months back, people were debating if Dr Dre was a rapper or not and they came to the conclusion that he was because he raps it and adds his own stamina.. so hes not only a producer, but a rapper too.. and believe it or not, Snoop Dogg was once good and he changed the game...

yea, Nas held it down on his verse, but overall Xzibit is better than Nas.
I think the only MC that can match Xzibit now, is Pharoahe Monch.
