yall fools watching it this season?
im really enjoying this season. this is probably my favorite season....or at the very least right there with season 2. John Lithgow is an amazing actor. ive never seen him in a role like this.....and he is perfect for it!!!
tonights episode should be crazy!!!
where my dexter fans at?
-
this show is wicked. however i missed the second episode of this season so i am going to avoid the rest till the full set comes out on dvd.
i watched seasons 1 and 2 in 1.5 days...then i waited a week to go buy season 3.....siiiiiiiiiiiiiiick show :P.
-
This season is great, I actually thought 2 was kind of a let-down and picked back up with 3.
I'm downloading last night's episode right now, looking forward to it.
-
Yeah a great season, started kinda slow but now it's buckwild. The last week ep (haven't seen the new one yet) was classic, the way Dexter switched up to a serial killer persona in a second was amazing. The only thing that bothers me with this season is the Angel & La Guerta love story, it makes me vomit.
-
season is fucking great so far.
But I want to take a minute to talk about John Lithgow.I'm used to him being a comedy actor, because of that series he did, with the aliens (it was really popular around here for quite some time). Then the new Dexter started and I immediately thought damn, he's really good at being a killer/psychopath.Right after I watched the pre-air of the first episode for this season, I started checking out some early Brian De Palma movies, and man, did he love Lithgow in these kinds of roles (killer/disturbed person)!I recommend checking out what the two of them did together, some really good stuff there.Props to Lithgow, big actor!

for real? for me it was the other way around. season 3 was cool, but its definitely the weakest of the 4 seasons, imo.
for me, this is how id rate the seasons 4/2, 1, 3.
its odd tho...dexter has barley killed anyone this season, and its shaping up to be the best one yet! lol
-
Blow Out is a good movie to check out
Season 1 can't be topped and so far Season 4 has been the closest one. 2 and 3 I rank them the same, cool seasons but don't compare to 1 and 4.
-
season 3 was the worst dexter season, and it was still better than alot of shit on television. the middle of the season is weak while him and the miguel are getting to know each other or whatever, but the start and ending episodes are great
as for this season, i think rita is gonna get done by trinity. she hasnt been in it much this season and they're emphasizing the whole "family" aspect of the killers and how dexter can't turn into lithgow. the next two episodes look fucking insane, i can't wait
-
Every season has its charms but they are all 5/5 stars at the end, season 3 was great as well, connection and chemistry between Miguel and Dexter was amazing. 4th season is great but has some bad moments, writers are trying to make it unpredictable but sometimes they just do the opposite by trying that hard and story becomes transparent. Sometimes they are trying to present different Dexter as sloppy and not organized, not focused, its not good to change the mans character like that when its already formed in viewers heads, cant blame them too much tho, its hard to write FOUR great seasons and they are managing. Final two episodes are gonna be off the hook.

yes, like it was already mentioned, Blow Out is def worth checking, I personally loved it.Obsession is another one I know that is great, still can't find it anywhere to check it out tho.I dont know anything about Raising Cane, other than that it's a horror movie and Lithgow plays a doctor who suffers from multiple personality disorder (all 3 of the movies are De Palma/Lithgow collabos, of course)
-
damn, next two episodes are going to be unreal!!!!

"Hello Deter Morgan" ;D

props to both of ya. ill be sure to check those out.

damn, next two episodes are going to be unreal!!!!
I have a feelin that Lithgow is gonna go at Rita and the kids...cant wait to see the scene where Dexter knocs the fuck out outta that "i wanna fucc your wife" neighbor ;D
-
yeah i think rita is done. i thought that as soon as they introduced trinity as being a 'family man'
add to the fact that she's just fucking annoying when she's on the screen now
-

Do you think he will kill her? I think not, she presents balance for Dexter, I really cant imagine him alone with 3 kids LOL
Word is 5th season gonna start January. Damn what a great show, havent enjoyed TV Show like this since I watched Twin Peaks for 10th time.
-
i think rita and the kids are done for. the whole season has been dexter keeping his life secret from his family, then we see trinity doing exactly the same shit. then it all turns into 'oh im not like him', every episode that goes on it turns out he's exactly like him. looking at the preview it's pretty clear
- trinity knows "kyle" is dexter
- trinity knows where he lives (he's outside his house)
- trinity knows where he works
i'll guess that the next episode or two have dexter running around chasing after him, and dexter doesn't realise his family is missing until trinity drops them off a bridge or something and dexter becomes all "dark passenger"

I was having the same idea at the begining homie, this would be sth that really good writers would do, independent type of writers I mean. But we are talking about USA showtime production series, so my predictions that kids and Rita are gonna live.
We shall see soon tho....
-
Wack, why would you guys discuss the previews? I go out of my way to avoid them while watching the shows lol
-
awww fuck next weeks episode is gonna be crazy.
-
man the last 5-7 minutes of this week's episode were FUCKING CRAZY!Loved it!
-
That last scene was so simple yet so intense!
-
one of the better tv shows in the last few years, love it. im yet to watch the last few eps but ive enjoyed this season...especially with John Lithgo in it, he plays his role very well
-
still havent checked this one, gonna wait for the next week one and then check both together as 2 hour finale. ;D
-
seems theyve gone all out for the finale
- fake scripts
- shooting fake scenes
- watermarking all copies of the footage
there is a turn "so unexpected" its meant to change the series. we were talking about this at work and pretty much came up with;
- rita is done
- dexter is found out (and on the run?)
-
im not going to go into the details, but im thinking it probably has something to do with debra or maybe the kids. either way this season finale should be epic.
-
I cant wait its going to epic the season has been amazing so the finale should be to.
-
FUCK :o
-
Just downloadin the last episode and i didnt see the previous one, so its gonna be 2 hour finale for me tomorrow, cant wait.!!
-
holy shit what a fucking AMAZING finale. bout to watch it again.
-
the last few episodes in this season have been better than the finale. but the last 5 minutes of this episode was awesome.
-
Poor Dexter, his lovely wife's been murdered, this sux big time. It's a nighmare being a Dexter, i wouldn't be one.I love his boat's name "Slice of life" Lol, first time i noticed this today.
Someone know if there will be a fifth season?
-
fifth season was announced last year, apparently theyre not going beyond that
-

after the ratings the finale got (highest in showtime history) best believe there will be plenty of more Dexter to come. :bandit:
-
Yeah I can definitely see this going for like 7 seasons, especially after the record breaking finale. Great final episode, I was maybe a little bit too hyped after the last 4 episodes but it's all hood. Glad that Rita is dead, I just hope he won't have all 3 kids next season.
-
Ive just seen the finale, it was very good, John Lithgow brilliant acting just took over this season,ama-fuckin-zing. Very shocking for a mainstream show like this, but im happy that writers decided to take this turn. I can see a darker and complicated next season where Dexter becomes more ruthless. How hes gonna take care of three kids on his own, they seen him in station with trinity (batista did for sure), trinitys family knows him, etc etc, interesting to see how hes gonna handle all that.
-
Simply amazing the finalie really set up a lot for the next season to happen cant wait.
-
Just started watching this show the other day.Halfway trhough season two.Season one was great, season two has been ok but a bit of a letdown.I have to say the show can be a bit too soap operish at times and some of the sub plots are lame and pointless. The wire is still my favorite show of all time
-

im guessing your referring to 3rd Rock From The Sun? was a good show...
btw i havent seen one episode of Dexter, can someone summarize what its about? judging by the comments here i should maybe give it a try 8)
-
To summarize, dexter is a serial killer that only kills criminals.Hes also a blood splatter forensic officor with the police.
-
just watched the last ep, fuck this season was good.
now ship the 3 kids of to the grandparents and watch dexter get ruthless

Yea, i really hope he pulls through this. Happy to see him attending Golden Globes. When Michael got the award u could just see how happy and full of respect was Lithgow, looked like hes gonna cry.
-
thought id bring this thread back up, as im just working my way through the seasons now...
Season 1 was awesome imo, and im currently up to ep 10 of season 2, waaay behind but means ive got lots of great episodes left to watch i guess lol dunno why i didnt get into it sooner, possibly the best show ive seen in a long long time
-
When does the new Dexter start...November i think.cant wait to see how him and the kids adabt to Ritas death..
-

It'd started, and looks good! 8)
-
Still waiting for the rest of the season, as the first two (havent watched the third one yet) are just sort of an introduction to the whole story again.
-
Looks like Quinn is gonna be the main antagonist this season kind of like Doaks was in season 2. Glad Ritas kids are out of the picture. Personal opinion of the shows so far...
Season 1
Season 4
Season 2
Season 3
In that order from best to worst. BUT, even the worst season of Dexter is far > than any shit else on tv today.
-

looks like!
-
New season is on yea, little bit slow but it seems like everything is going to get fucked up for Dex now in new episode with Julia Stiles.

finally finished watching season 4, kinda saw it coming but was a great last episode, thought John Lithgow was excellent all the way through...
looking forward to the next season, how far are we into it?

4 episodes I think. This season for me is by far the worst, I mean its still good but I'm a little dissapointed. The first 2 episodes=boooooring Glad they got rid of the kids, I don't care if they lost their mother, Aster was just pissing me off.

You are right!

Season 5 shaped up to be as good as the previous ones, started a bit slow but it was crazy watching few last episodes. Cant wait for the finale.
-
so what are the general thoughts on season 5? just finished watching it myself, thought the last few eps were really good, was a pretty slow season overall compared to the one previous, but obviously there was a lot of shit that had to be sorted with rita dying and whatnot...
thought the finale was probably the best episode, altho for a while i did think there was gonna end up being a quinn situation similar to the one dexter had with doakes, wonder how they'll pan out their dynamic going forward...
bring on season 6 8)
-
don't really like the finale.
It was too quick, and simple...
-
Yeah, the finale was very bland. No twists or anything. Everything fell into place for Dexter too easilly.
-
After 8 years this show is coming back for season 9 in November. I wonder what theyre gonna do with it, was one of my favorite shows to follow back in the day.
