I Got a problem with my computer, my harddisk is 6 gigabyte, and i used about 3 gigabyte. But when i go to 'My Computer" in Windows and i select the harddisk ( c: ) it says : Used 5,75 Gigabyte - Available 274 MB.. When i select all folders on my harddisk it`s only about 3 gigabyte...so there`s something wrong...i had a virus a while a go thru mIRC, so maybe that`s where it went wrong, or there`s something wrong with the disk, or there is a file that is very big that i can`t see
Anybody here ever had such a problem or know how i can fix it???
thnx

Try running scandisk on it.

Try running scandisk on it.
that wont work, i already downloaded norton and other virus scanners, but it won`t recognize any virus....

er it might work - scandisk is part of windows - not a virus scanner, it checks for faults on harddrives so might find some faults on yours which are wasting space !
