Vids kinda dope but the the songs shit, also LMAO at 50s lil topless dance at like the 1:50 mark :camp: :loser: :camp: :banana_trippin:

It's weird how rap is becoming gay ... "Candy Shop", "Amusement Park" what the fuck are these track titles and topics :-X
-
Preety dope vid
:grumpy: I bet you just fancy 50's body.
This is one of the most horrible songs/videos I've ever heard/seen. Just terrible.
-
gayyyyy
-
First he was a candy shop and his dick was a lollipop
Now he is an amusement park and his dick is a rollercoaster
This guy is a fucking joke. But the sad thing is, this will be number 1 on all charts for many weeks - god knows how, but it will. Its all about promotion these days.
RIP Hip Hop
On a side note, the state of hip hop has actually forced me into exploring other genres and I probably listen to more indie rock than hip hop these days. Quiet dissapointing

50 looking real monkeyish in the vid.
-
To the people calling this video "gay", I'd just like to now whats so gay about a man in a video with 10 chicks.
Its not about 50 Cent, its just a general wondering, Ive heard plenty videos like this being called "gay".
So I'd like to know what it is. Thank you.
EDIT: I am not defending this vid in any way or calling it great. Its your regular "bitches and cars" vid, just curious.
-
fucken gay now timbo king is gunna make 100 posts about 50 and how great he is and hes the best raper lol
-
this gone be a hit, just cuz he's showin his muscles and bitches will wet their pussys for that, steroids got to his head
-
this video is fucken gay because it's weak ass commercial rap and what will make this sells are the cars muscles jewelry display of how many caps and differents shirt he can afford and show in one video.
-
LMAO at 50s lil topless dance at like the 1:50 mark :camp: :loser: :camp: :banana_trippin:
I was thinking the same shit when I saw it, shit was fuckin cakey.
-
Wow. What a rip off of a LL Cool J video.

Call it wack, unoriginal, not creative. But calling it gay just doesnt make sense.

If u wasnt born yesterday u would know that the word "gay" can be used for a lot of things... just like the word "fuck" :)

It's gay because I don't a give a fuck watchin a man topless playin a lover and acting like a RNB diva.. I'm just sick of these wack lines "shorty c"mon let's ride, I know what you want ect".. when it comes to the vid, if I wanna watch some girls get naked, I go to a club, ect.. or watch porno.. I don't see the point of all these hoes vids.. they're wack for 90 % of it.. I prefer some concept vids or old school vid with people in front of the blocks ect.. anyways I barely watch music vids becoz they don't add anything to the music, whereas they should

"Shorty you ain't gotta take ya panties off, just pull em to the side."
What an opening line.
Is this what has become of hip-hop?

That's what I meant and I mean it not jus for 50 songs, all these wack singles nowadays in the industry, using very weak , simples lines, it ain't even rap.. I mean I don't ask a single to be lyrical but c'mon.. the pb is stupid chicks and bandwagon rap fans like these songs.. so it's the same shit we hear again and again

That line even gives off the impression he doesn't give a shit. Or in fact, he is tryin to see how far he can push the boundaries.
At the end of the day tho, millions will still love it. :(

But like Wcsoldier (what I said wasnt targeted at you) had its not just 50 Cent thats doint this. EVERY artist on a major label has that 1 or 2 necesary chick songs. The main difference is that 50s will become a hit and will be played 24/7. Just dont act like 50 Cent is the first rapper to create a cheesy chick song like this.
And Wcsoldier I agree with everything you said, Im not crazy about this track either, you can tell it was forced. You have to now that 50 Cent is pretty much the biggest act on Intersope label at the moment, so the pressure from Jimmy Iovine for him to do this numbers must be enormous. 50 said it himself that Jimmy told him that there was a 6 mill hole in 06 and that he has to do those numbers.
My whole point before wasnt even about music, it was a about people calling this video homo. If this is homo than what are those "gangsta" videos in the hood with 20 rappers with no shirt or in a wife beater, acting all hard. Takes DMXs "Where Your Hood At" for example. That was my point, it had nothing to do with the song itself.
-
My whole point before wasnt even about music, it was a about people calling this video homo.
I'm sorry to remind you, but nobody called this video homo. They just said it was gay, and you can't say they're not right about that. Look it up in the dictionary if you don't know the meaning of the word gay...
I think the beat is okay though, but vocally this song is on a Candy Shop level. And lol @ 50 going on a topless dance after injecting some magical fluids into his muscles and getting oiled up... That's gay AND homosexual.
By the way, he just hit another all time low:
"I'll be your teddy bear"... There's no way to describe the sissiness of that.

Do you not see the difference between
1) A rapper taking off his shirt to impress another man, showing he's physically stronger
and
2) A rapper taking off his shirt to show off with the apparent sexiness of his body
:-X ???
-
This is rap for the hoes, they are supposed to swoon and masturbate to it. It's not made to bump in the ride of a straight man.
-

Thanks for editing my quotes to blow them out of their context (once again). I know you're more intelligent than that - at least I thought you were.

Well? What's so hard to digest?
-
I changed it because like I said you were twisting words. C'mon your smarter than that.
Its pathetic how you try to change words in such a simple sentence:
Like I said: a) a rapper taking off his shirt to impress another man --> gay
b) a rapper taking his shirt off to impress a woman (which was obviously the point, dont get me no bs) --> not gay
How do you not get that ? Impressing a woman, impressing a man.
-
a rapper taking off his shirt because he's a grimmey mtohafucka and he dont give a shit, the definition of 2pac and dmx taking they shirt offs
50 cents and ja rule are just straight up faggot ass body building steroids gay ass mothafuckaz who dont get respect
-
I changed it because like I said you were twisting words. C'mon your smarter than that.
Okay. Let's take it back to the beginning, slow steps at a time.
First off, nobody literally said it was homo, they just said it was gay.
Plus, do you really, really, really not see the difference between a rapper with his shirt off in a hood video, and a rapper with his shirt off in a video with barely dressed girls?
Like I said...
The hood rapper has no shirt on to show off with his physical strength: he's saying don't fuck with me because I'm strong as hell and I'll beat your fucking ass. Motive: to scare people; not gay.
The rapper with no shirt on in the video with a bunch of girls is doing it to impress with his sexiness. Motive: to create affection and/or jealousy; very gay indeed.
How do you not get the message behind it? I didn't put it quite as blandly as you did. You twisted my words and made it into something I didn't say.
Besides that, did you just imply (by twisting my words) that whoever's ever trying to impress a man is necessarily homosexual?
-
Oh loooooooooord, Elvez, youre a pain in the ass sometimes.
Let me try again:
a man trying to show off to another man, probably saying "look how huge my biceps are"(your, not you Elvez, as in general, regular day at gym basically lol), two man with their shirt off comparing their chests. The main goal is to prove you have a better body than the other men
orrrrrrrrrr
a man trying to show off to another woman, the main goal is to get LAID.
-
Seems to me like you're living in a world of your own, but let's end this discussion here since there's no progress in it.
a rapper taking off his shirt because he's a grimmey mtohafucka and he dont give a shit, the definition of 2pac and dmx taking they shirt offs
50 cents and ja rule are just straight up faggot ass body building steroids gay ass mothafuckaz who dont get respect
^^ Understood my point.
Peace out Meho! And +1 for keeping it cool. 8)

If I were 13 years old, this would be an awesome video but fortunately I'm not. Amusement Park isn't catchy enough to be the next hot club song so I'm waiting(not really) for the AYO Technology (ft.Justin Timberlake). In his next music video, he only needs Timbaland to whisper in his ear and the album will go diamond in the first week.
-
Look at these hypicrites man. I hate on Game in that California Vacation thread, and they telling me to get the fuck outa here and stop hating. But its perfectly OK to hate on 50 Cent. Double standards kids, get it straight. Don't hate on 50 and tell people to stop hating on Game all in the same day. Bunch of clowns around here.
-
^^^lmao!! I actually enjoy reading kings post, the nigga obsesses with game! he hates him soo much yet he always mentioning him!
one blood>anything 50 cent has released for this album so far....true story....
-
^ Well thats your opinion junior, I really don't want to argue with you the difference between a fact, and an opinion, because somewhere during your e-thugin life you should've been told that.
Was One Blood better then "Come and Get Me" and "Straight to tha Bank"? I don't think so, but you do. SO logic dictates that it is your opinion, and thus what you said was not true. OK. You should be paying me for these simple lessons man, you have a lot to learn.
-

So you admit you're a hater. And what the fuck does Game have to do with this? You hate me so much yet bring him up every chance you get.
-
^ Your really not bright are you? If you would learn to read properly, then you'd get my point. And here it is, typed out for you nice a clear. When I hate on someone (in this case the Game), every single person complains and calls me a hater. Following me so far? When everyone is hating on 50 Cent in here, and someone calls them a hater, they get called a dickrider.
So it is thus a double standard. It's ok to hate on 50 Cent, since everyone does it, but its not ok to hate on The Game. GET IT? Go back to school kid.
-
( this was originally a reply to RIK) What hes trying to say that theres so many double standards when it comes to being a 50 Cent fan. I mean dont you people see, that on these message boards its actully wrong to be a 50 Cent fan or to like his songs ? Same goes for Jay-Z, Eminem, Snoop, Kanye.... but 50 Cent is pretty much on the news 24/7 and he has no break. I cant even remember how many times Ive heard something like this "damn I hate 50 but this song is nice..." You are of course being called a dickryder as soon as you like any of his songs or try to defend him in a normal way. I mean, Ive been called one plenty times, yet what do I do ? I post news from him, just like I do from other artists, I post songs from him just like I do from other artists, I debate about him... and isnt that what the forum is all about ??? Go to the westcoast connection and there you'll see thousand threads about DPG, Game, Crooked I, with some saying "DPG IS THE BEST THERE IS NUCCA, IN THE WHOLE WORLD" and nobody says shit to them. The funny thing is I dont owe one 50 Cent cd, hes not in my regular playlist, nothing. I started posting in one or 2 of his threads simply because I saw the double standards and I was imediatlly labeled.
Now yes he is one arrogant bastard but which rapper aint ? And letting your opinion about a rapper be blinded by his personality is ridiculous. Yes he has made some chick tracks. Tell me again, which mainstream rapper hasnt. The only difference is his songs blow up. Lets not forget how Jada and Fat Joe were dissing him for Candy Shop, yet 3 months later they were on an indian-ish production from Storch with Paris Hilton.
And last but not least. Its muisc. Its entertainmet. Some of you act like 50 did something to you personally.
-

junior? clown i could school you on anything in hiphop, outside hiphop....now go listen to some of that magic stick joints you be bumpin, do not act like I you don't know kid
-
^ More hypocritical posts hommie. Facts and opinions are different things. What you think you can do, and what you can do are two very different things. So please, stop your bs "clown i could school you on anything in hiphop, outside hiphop". Don't make things personal, and I won't have to. Lets act like the gentlemen that we are.
-
^^^lol you start it by saying shit like i got alot to learn and then tell me not to take it personally? lol.....dawg I know the difference between a fact and an opinion....and in my opinion i could school you on hip 24/7....i mean anyone who can bump 50cent and his gunit group on a regular and then try dissin a game fan is jokes...nigga im 22 years old, i aint some kid who bought an eminem cd and was introduced to hiphop and then learnt about who dr dre is...I aint saying that is you, but homie i was raised on this shit...i know the difference between wack and dope (strong opinion, lol) I aint got nuttin against you but when you come tryna diss my posts you better expect a reply homie.....
oh and about you constantly hating on game, that shit aint opinion, its a fact that most of the time you be hating on him, don't reny it...
thats enough shit for me, i aint never been ten posts back and forth ruining a thread type of brother, so whether you like what I say or not, that is it
im out...
doctors advocate>massacre...curtis another massacre?...amusment park, straight to the bank = weak....maybe the rest of the album is banging
-
oh about the vid, looks like some money was actually spent on this....def not a vid for 50 cent though still, should have been a video for the pussycat dolls or someshit....not for a hiphop star who's acts 'gangsta'...haha 50 def lost some wieght and been training hard for this though still, he in crazy shape right now....horrible song though still..........and I have nuttin against songs for bitches, I aint on no gay tip....21 questions = heated....this = garbage....and the video does not help, its high budget but and shit for a joint which aint even first single BUT this shit is a video for a pop star, not a hiphop star.....they could have had bitches and everything else, does not make it change that this is video weak
-
Theres not much difference between 21 Questions and this song. Same cheesy/ catchy lyrics, "seductive" beat and aimed at chicks. Only differnce is that Nate is on the hook and thats what people find wrong with 50s chicks songs these days imo, that he does it all by himself.
Lyrical G, can you honestly say that if 50 released 21 Questions today you wouldnt diss it ? Truth please.

Hah, I like that question. Back then, 50 did have crazy credibility, as opposed to now (speaking from popular dubcc opinion). Any track he puts out now will be perceived differently - that's only natural. We can only try as hard as we can to be objective, time after time.
"I'll be your teddy bear" versus "I'll love you like a fat kid loves cake"?
I don't know - at least the cake-line was funny. The whole song 21 Questions seemed to have its purpose and it came across as sincere (at least it did to me). An extremely solid hook (thank you Nate Dogg indeed), a well written whole... That song did something. It had its cheesy moments, but it was put together nicely.
I've only heard Amusement Park once now, but you can't deny it has "attempt" written all over it. It's art imitating art; 50 trying to build another hit off a huge pile of cheesy non-substantial one-liners. It's not unbearable, but don't start listening to the music consciously. Have it playing in the background whatsoever, it'll be okay, but don't consciously listen to it if you mind enjoying yourself.
Being as objective as I can be - Amusement Park still is watered down.
-
Fair enough Elvez, about that line comparison you oughtta compare "Ill love you like a fat kid loves cake" with ""Now watch me, as I put a rabbit out of hat then you can use the rabbit, all over your cat." (vibrator noise in the background). Both funny.
-

only difference that nate is on the hook?
there is a HUGE difference in these two songs....lemme break shit down for you cuz you always accusing me of only feeling shit in the past and nothing new,lol....i like new shit too mang, i just need to hear some shit which is dope first....whether 21 questions was released today or in 1980 i couldnt give a fuck homie
let me break down the differences in the joints.....actually let me start by the similarities....
the both joints made with bitches in mind
now lets break down the differences...
21 questions had a dope concept, it was abot a cat in cell, about all these questions that come up in a brothers head........you see its a joint that for the bitches but its a ballers anthem too....nobody but that "gay" cats hated on this shit when it dropped....its like snoop - beautiful....that is a joint for the ladies but its dope....wack is amusement park, candy shop.....
which reminds me, candy shop and amusement park are pretty much exactly the same, this is hugely different...
other differences, nate is on the hook and drops a hook with swagger, how you gone hate on the hook....50 verses on 2` questions, laid back but serious, had energy, asked good shit....even the silly lines like "i love you like a fat kid love cake" got love....this is horrible....50 sounds horrible on this......
this is nothing about whether a joint is new or old....i'm sure there will be joints on 50's album which are bangin BUT this is garbage....why you tryna defend it?.....to even compare this to 21 questions to me strange....seriously....
so would I have liked 21 questions today in comparison to when it actually dropped, fo sho....in all truth, I aint never grabbed rope nor shall i ever, i only speak my opinion which i believe is truth...
Oh and i think you have accused me of only liking old shit before aswell but I think your being short sighted just when it comes to your favourite rappers...like 50/eminem/mobb and so on.......
to me eminem, 50,mobb, jigga (as an album, not denying the skill he has), snoop,....(my favourite rapper alive) all dropped there weakest efforts ever or in along ass time with there last releases, so it has nothing to do with me not liking new shit, its more to do with me not feeling there shit because they have not dropped anything worth listening to in more than a minute....special regards to 50/eminem in that because i cannot remember the last time i really felt these two cats dropping something amazing....
now that being said there is stuff that has dropped recently, or has dropped that i either like alot of feel it was better than the stuff that has been released in the past.......it may just not be someone you like or feel the need to constantly defend
-

you feeling this joint?
-
oh and about joints for the ladies, aint nuttin wrong with that, we aint the only people who cop cd's, they just gotta be dope, i couldnt care if a joint is made with ladies in mind or a rabbit, if it bangs, its good enough for me
pz

Its better than Candy Shop, like I said it reminds me of 50s rnb songs on his old mixtapes over other people beats, he sounds more relaxed, not forced but still the review for the song is "alright." Thought it was wack at first, then it grew on me a lil bit.
Aint trying to defend anything, especially not this song, to me still 21 Questions and this aint much different. 21 Q is better but not much. Because no matter how you twist it:
a) lyrics: weak on both
b) beat: equal, both seductive effect
c) chours: nate wins
d) catchy: both
Elvez pretty much sumed it up the best:
Back then, 50 did have crazy credibility, as opposed to now (speaking from popular dubcc opinion). Any track he puts out now will be perceived differently - that's only natural. We can only try as hard as we can to be objective, time after time.

aint nuttin to twist homie
lyrics - 21 questions easily whether you just want to look at it from a writing perspective or song writing....easily 21 questions
beat - 21 questions, possibly this if your more into seductive sounds
chorus - clearly nate
catchy - clearly 21 questions....that was hit certified as it showed at the time, this will get spins, but it will not be a 21 questions....amusement park is catchy to you? i bumped it once without the video and twice with the video, i do not think I will ever bump that joint again unless I hear it in a club
21 questions > respected hit
amusement park - kinda wack...
and this is coming from me being objective(as usual), not strings attached homie
pz
-
You keep saying it's better than Candy Shop, so, it still isn't good.
-
yeah candy shop is horrible BUT it had much more hit potential than this which is horrible and will get spins more off 50 being 50 rather than the quality of the joint
-
they got a vid for hold on up there, is that an official vid?
-
dope song n video some bad bitches in there :D
-
Just dont act like 50 Cent is the first rapper to create a cheesy chick song like this.
back in the Ja Rule beef days, 50 was the one who said he'll never degrade to that level. And now he's doing the same thing, even worse.

Same ? Yes. Worst ? Definetly not. At least he doesnt sound like a retard when he sings, like Ja did. Ja had a raspy voice, 50s is smooth like Snoops.
50 is a bitch for that but dont tell me other rappers stick to their words. You can tell the double standards in their lyrics on a daily basis.
-
50 fell off, how can you deny that? I kinda lost hope for this being a dope album.

How is not liking an RnB song being soft. If anything you're soft for liking this bullshit.

Damn this song is soooooo wack. AND THIS IS COMING FROM A 50 FAN. I bought get rich or die tryin & the massacre the first day they came out. I will be downloading this album, and NOT buying it unless it blows me away.
I understand why maybe gunit don't do the #s they use to. Because there fans are growing up. I'm a young cat, but even this is a joke to me. I liked candy shop, but don't mean I wanna hear pt. 2 a few years later.
I got some homies bumpin this track, and i'm telling them open ya fucking eyes, 50 is eating off fans like that man. For my homie I think it's more of a loyalty thing. He used T.I. as an example, saying I'll never stop supporting T.I. or Knoc-turn'al just the same way he won't stop supporting 50. Good point he has there.

Some of you act like 50 did something to you personally.

just realise that if you play a song like this in your car, chicks will get ideas, play some backpacker style underground rap they'll think you're a geek try hard thug.

-
Just because I like to fuck doesn't mean I'm gonna like a wack ass song about fucking. And I don't need to play a song that's made for girls for me to pull a broad.

21 Questions is about 21x more dope than Amusement Park. The beat is MUCH better, the subject is MUCH better, the hook is MUCH better, the lyrics are MUCH better, and the corny factor is about a 2/10 versus about 7/10 for Amusement Park. 21 Questions is dope Hip Hop, Amusement Park is contrived commercialism BULLSHIT.
It's pretty much like 11z said, there was a hint of sincerity about a dude being locked down, wondering if his girl's gonna be there. Almost anyone can relate to that - everybody wonders if they leave their chick / dude for a little bit if they will still be there when they get back. It's got universal appeal, and it wasn't over the top corny and blatantly exploiting anything. Dope concept, great execution. Great joint right there - I didn't know anybody hating on this joint when it dropped. 2pac made joints like this all the time and never lost a shred of respect. (don't get me wrong, I'm not comparing the two, but I'm saying that these types of joints can be done w/o jeopardizing any credibility if they are done the right way).
But this song is so transparent & contrived, it's so obvious what he's trying to do here, which is the exact same thing he tried to do with Candy Shop or Magic Stick (btw, Magic Stick was much better than this or CS as well). His dick's a lollipop, it's a magic stick, it's like riding a roller coaster, blah blah blah. We fuckin get it 50. You get the feeling that 50 gets handed a beat, then he makes some gay hook with forced melodies that come off hella corny, then he throws in a few meaningless one liner's throughout the song. His flow sucks too.
To bring up Pac again - compare this to "How Do U Want It" which people typically refer to in arguements to say that Pac made joints like these. The theme of the song is Pac askin everybody "yo, how you want it?!?" He might be hollerin at a chick in the club, he might be flossin askin the world what they want, he might be hollerin at politicians about injustice and shit. It's a versitile fuckin track - it's him layin shit out that he thinks about, things he goes through. Not just some joint with a bunch of contrived one-liners throughout. It's a real ass song - and thats why this joint was bumped by EVERYBODY when it dropped - everybody could relate to that shit. That's what Hip Hop is about. 21 Questions was along that same line as well. Amusement Park shouldn't even be considered in the same fuckin ballpark as joints like that. Not even close.
