hearing that "topless" joint made me think... i think he is the most consistent on dre's production. besides snoop and cube.

that's a classic tracklist right there. i don't know why "the firm" joint turned out to be a dissapointment. but nas and dre have to find a way to make an album together.
-
Kurupt is better for me.xzibit as well.I wish sixx two was on more tracks he sounds incredible on dre beats.nas is good though.
-
Indeed - Nas is the best thing on the new Topless track.
-
I agree with Jaydc555
Xzibit was a monster on Dre beats as well
-
Being a Dre fan since day 1, "Topless" or whatever it's bootlegged as ..
is a typical, but defo nothing special compared to his many before hand.
(Since the start of Aftermath)
I still prefer some of the beat's dropped on that Dr. Dre Present's.... album
[By Dr. Dre & His production team @ the time] Over any of the leak's sofar from the supposed Detox sessions.
I do agree tho, Nas + Dre always make a great combo.
(Then again, Dre + any rapper usualy always makes a great song)
I'd say..
1. Eazy-E
2. Snoop Doggy Dogg/Snoop Dogg
3. Kurupt
4. Eminem
5. Nas
I have no doubt The D.O.C. would have been #1 on anyones list.
But in a strange way he is....
-
nas is a beast on any beat but over dre's beats I prefer xzibit, kurupt & knocturnal....

CAN ANYONE SAY
HITTMAN
HE WAS INSANE ON DRE BEATS
classic verses on ackrite and murder ink
-
I definitely would like to see more of those tracks Six2 & Dre recorded, Nas also knows what to bring to the table when it comes to a Dr. Dre Beat!
yet with an exception for Eminem, No One Can Do It Better than The D.O.C.!
-
shit, almost forgot about H.I.T.T.M.A.N., DAMN! he sick on the mic spitting over Dre beats as well.

COME ON!!!!!!
-
yeah, i guess there were a lot of west coast artists i forgot.
so maybe i meant best non-west coast artist. because you would think someone as well-received as jay-z would come correct on dre's production. but on "kingdom come" (well, given those weren't all dre's best beats), it was kind of a let down.
and i would've rather heard nas on those beats dre gave busta for "the big bang".
-
Topless isn't produced by Dr Dre. It's produced by DJ Khalil.

yeah, i agree it's very underrated. but the production outshines the artist though. a few of those more mellow beats, nas would've killed those... like "cocaina" or "been through the storm".
give me a nas and dre album NOW!
