this may sound a lil racist but like i always felt and still do believe its a white mans world........
dya feel this will ever change?
and dya all ever feel equal with ppl around you........like all colours...like a white kid in a black neighbourhood or a black kid in a white area..........dya all get treated with the same typa respect that the majority get treated with?

I'm white, and I think I get treated much better than black people. I live in NC and it's pretty racist here.
I think the only way racism will ever get 'done away' with is just naturally through times. I think education is the only way to stop it, and that slowly this will happen, it's already much better than it was... I think Racism is a waning problem, not a waxing one. I think with each generation, there will be more and more understanding, but it might take a couple hundred years for it to be pretty nonexistant. Any radical attempts to stop racism will just fuel it, and any attempts to counterbalance it (i.e., so called 'reverse racism', affirmative action, etc.) will probably fuel it also.
With all that said, I think everybody deep down is slightly racist, to the extent that they slightly prefer their own race over all other races, because of a matter of pride, and heritage. I think there's nothing wrong with a black man being proud of black men, thinking their the greatest in the world, and vice versa. Kinda like britain and america each think they're the greatest country in the world. It's natural.

I personally believe there is not supreme race or inferior race. Although Prejudism is everywhere and everyone. People tend to have Negitive attutude towards ethinic groups that they are not familar with or raced with racist beliefs..... causing them to become prejudges or racist..

I agree with Trauma's point. Our generation is much less racist than our parents, and our kids will be even less racist. However, it is true that every country exhibits some form of racism so I doubt it will go away completely for a long time.
In America I think racism won't go away completely, but will change form. It won't be an outward hatred towards blacks for no reason, but society will still deem america racist towards black for another reason. This reason is largely the fault of America itself, but is no an inevitable dilemma we will face. That being the majority of blacks in America were swept into ghetto's, and forced to attend ghetto schools. There is now a strong culture within the ghetto that will not go away any time soon, and that culture unfortunately brings down the black community at least according to the normal united states standards. Basically, ghetto culture is accepted by teeny boppers as alright, but the white collar class will always be turned off by it. The strong and rightful attachment to this culture will ensure it lasts a long time and thereby creating a sort of detachment from the majority of blacks from "white" america.
The poor schooling systems further keeps people trapped in the ghetto, and the constant reinforcement from black celebrities preaching bling bling, and gangsterism is only helping create the problem. If it is a problem.
But while I may be an asshole in saying so. Is it fair to expect your average run of the mill white collar white guy to be able to relate to a person with "hip hop culture"
For example, LA and rural NY are two totally diff cultures whose people have a hard time relating to each other. No one considers this a problem, its understood and for good reason. Some guy that lives in the woods prolly can't relate to a city guy at least on a constistant basis. I think that was a lil extreme, but hopefully you get the point I am attempting to make. Likewise though, a typical white person doesn't understand hip hop culture anymore than the person with hip hop culture understands the white man culture. Hip hop culture dislikes white man culture, white man culture can't relate to hip hop culture. Just like the guy that lives on a farm, can't relate easily to the guy that lives in the city. Its the way things are, but becuz of this we will still be deemed racist. In a sense its not fair becuz we created hip hop culture by forcing blacks into the ghetto. But on the other hand, what can you do about it?

I fuckin hate rascism but it's never going to go away. Everybody's going to think better of their own race and think down on other races but i think nik said that everybody's rascist and that's true. Everybody in here is rascist sometimes.

well my teacher went to america and shes white........and like she went to this place where that black gal.....u know the one who fought for her place on a bus years ago..........sum typa musuem or sumthang, n ppl were throwin stuff at her........other white ppl this is n calling her nigga lover n shit

im white and i live in a white dominated country - my country, though it is improving, is racist. when settlers first arrived the aborginals were treated like shit by racists like what happened to many natives during settlement - south africa, america, new zealand, etc. i have never personally experienced racism but i hate it, i hate it more then anything. it is blantant stupidity. to say that someone is worse then another person just because they look different makes no fuckin sense. i will not tolerate racism in any form. my father is a racist and i hate him every day for it.
my last girlfriend was asian and she told me she suffered racism as kid in school from other kids. now i know this is just immature kids that dont know any better but it made me angry, it isnt fair what she went through.

Yeah, and the only reason those kids did it, was because they're parents taught them crap like that. It's been proven in studies that kids don't sense any kind of hierarchy in races, just that people of a different race look a little different.
This all ties back to my argument that parents need to teach their kids and make sure they have a strong moral base. Luckily racism and civil right stuff like that are being battled by the media, so kids are being taught, even if not in the home that racism is bad.

I agree with Trauma. Also, like he said, kids are not born with hate of other races, its all brainwashing by their parents, peers, society. So basicly, if this generation of people raise their kids without poisioning their mind with hate against race, the future will be racist-free. I mean, if racist people reproduce, they are probably gonna raise their kids, imposing this hate upon them. So they will be brought up as racists. The cycle will continue...

I think racism develops mostly as ur growing up. And most influencial are ur parents, and ur environment. If U grew up with Hindu Kashmiri parents like me, ur bred to hate every muthafuckin sand nagga muslim there is in this earth. LOL JK...my parents didnt raise me with racism but in my environment growing up in India and Indian friends here, we always talked about fuck pakistan this and that and that contributed to it. I dont think I am racist though ;D anyway yeah like right now cuz of 911 American society is becomming a little cautious of Islam. However we are a much more understanding and uphold a sense of RIGHT and UNBAISNESS and promote that much more than a nation like Iraq or Pakistan. peace

there is a differece between ethnic and race..... one deal with culture and the other physical differences..... such as color or even handicap.... race being a color is actually dramatic social and politcal meaning... to say it is only about color is too extreme.. because race can be anything... the hiphop culture can be a race of people who listen to music of urban decent....
now.. this is the sociologic diffinition of racism: the belief that one race is supreme and all others are innatelly inferior.
prejudice: negative attitude towards as entire category of people, such as a racial or ethnic minority.
minority group: a subordinate group whose members have a significantly less control or power over their own lives then members of a dominate or minority group have over thiers.
ethnic group: a group that is set apart from others because of its national origin or distinctive cultural patterns.
racial group: a group that is set apart from other because of obvious physical differences.

One of the coolest "encounters" with Racism I ever had was, I used to know this old woman, she was the grandma of this girl I dated. She was really cool, and had a ton of stories, and lived right down the street; so I'd go talk to her all the time; Plus I was good friends with her grandaughter and her brothers, so I've heard tons of stories from this old woman's mind. Unfortunately, she passed away about 4 years ago, but this is what she said one time.
She said, that she would never be racist towards black people, and would never think she was better than them, it wasn't right, because she said, the only person that would step forward and carry christ's cross was a black man.
that was her rationality for why black people were as good as white people... and this is a 90 year old southern woman.

actually you are corrected... mexicans can put white on an app. also at one time they put white in birth and death certificates of mexican americans... my grandfather was born in mexico... and still has white on his death cerificates....

I guess I kinda agree with people sayin that everyone is racist in a way. But I only agree with that cuz I think it's true that you always feel more comfortable with your own race... that automatically makes you racist cuz you have a preference towards your own race. I try not to judge people though... it's just tha way I was brought up I guess.. I talk to all kinds of people.. There are white Mexicans, they are people descended from the Spaniards. There are also Indian Mexicans and Mexicans who are mixed with white and Indian.
As for Israelis, most of them are just descendants of Eastern Europeans.

Israelis are bassicly jewish arabs, why do you think palestinians and israelis look so much alike? the only difference is a lot of european jews came down to israel too and mixed with the Original Jews and so their complexion is a lil lighter. so their race is barely different than the arabs, their facial structures and everything are bassicly the same.
i mean if you look at the history, that whole area was filled by arabs, from iraq to egypt, iran later became mixed with arabs. so it makes sense.

I hate boastful or arrogant chinese, the teens especally cause they are motherfuckers at times,(notall of them ofcourse)..the rich ones especially, then there are the bad white folks, the bad ones can be really pieces of shit, then there are those rich and poor arabs, lebanese,syrians...they can be racist bitches most of the time...like in dubai for example, theres a lot of racism towards asians from the arabs, they are very arrogant(maybe its because they think its their muslim country or maybe they just hate us because some of them are really rich)...they are fuckers...like in dubai as i was saying, me and my indian homies hardly had any arabs as ojur friends, they have fukin arab gangs and its messed...but we also have our indian and paki gangs...lol..sometimes the arab kids(sudanis and some other mofos) will flash their lasers at u in the eye, and if u try to stop em, they start a fight..lol...then at times they can beat u in public...like when my bro was small, these arab punks came with sticks and threatened my bro and stole his little bike when he was all alone....and som of them(since they skip school so much) turn into thieves and homos....

anyways, why is everybody arguing about what color they are? Who cares.... I don't even think on that level. When I think of people from other countries, I don't even know what color they are. I assume people from the middle east are probably brown, africans are black, south americans are brown, and most everybody else is white. I don't really feel the need to categorize every country nationality and religion into a race.

hm, i had racism, coz i wasn't white - english, it was horible but in the end im probably glad coz it made me stronger and im now confident in how i look (LoL), coz i had to learn the hard way!! a bad thing is that it left me REALLY vain but i suppose thats not hard to live with!
