I hardly ever see this short lived group and their albums discussed, so I thought i'd make a topic..
The Whole Damn Yay (t.w.d.y) is Ant Banks, Rappin 4 Tay, Captain save em'
There first release was..
featured Mac Mall, Too Short, B-Legit, Spice 1, Keak Da Sneak, Mac Shawn, J-Dubb, CJ Mac, Poohman,Grip, E-40..
after that 4tay left the group for some reason, and Dolla Will replaced him...

then this bangin CD came out
featured Too Short, B legit, Harm, Kurupt, J-Dubb, Big Hutch (from Above The Law), Butch Cassidy, WC, Kokane, MC Eiht, Knumskull, Yukmouth, Dru Down, CJ Mac, Goldy, Baby DC, EA Ski, King Tee & more..

Got the first album - some nice tracks on there, my favourite's probably 'Cross Me Up'. 'Players Holiday' is alright too, but a bit corny with that Bill Wither's sample.
Never heard the second album - what's it like?

The second album to me is kinda better, both are bangin though......2nd one has better, cleaner beats and much better guests....I've looked for the OG for about 2 years now whenever im out, been to oxford streets HMV and they always have like 10 copies of this CD............all edited versions though ???
-
Yeah, all the copies of the second one I've seen have been edited. I'll keep my eyes peeled though ;D

Playas Holiday is a true westcoast classic IMO, real nice laidback g funk... Derty Werk is pretty good album, but Playas Holiday is the only classic cut on it..
-
I own both of em, I like "Lead The Way" overall more
-
I got derty werk, still lookin for lead the way though
-
I got both albums. Lead The Way is tighter though. Tight Ant Banks production.
I really hope he releases something soon.
