The WWE has jobbed Rey Mysterio no less than 4 times, while he was the heavyweight champion. I can't think of anybody else they've done that to.
About a month ago, they jobbed him to Mark Henry.
Then, they jobbed him to the great Khali.
Then, they jobbed him to Kane.
On the smackdown! tapings tonight, they jobbed him to fucking FIT FINLAY.
He's lost 4 'non-title' singles competitions as heavyweight champion of the world.

I guess what they're trying to do is to make it seem like Rey wins the matches that count, but that doesn't help his reign as champion at all. It's like they made him champ at WM because it made for a great story, but once he won the writers looked at eachother and said "Now what?"

Smackdown's scripters are on crack! "Aight let's make Rey keep the championship but lose every week in a non-title match" They are jerking him, he has absolutely no credibility now losing every week. Thank God there is Raw is War...

Actually, and you probably don't believe this, but there's a few guys that are pretty legit bad-asses and sometimes they just do crazy shit, for instance, last night Mick Foley and Terry Funk (two of the most hardcore, craziest wrestlers of all time) were fighting outside the ring, and it was clear that Terry Funk was legitimately punching foley in the head over and over again. They're the type of guys who'll agree backstage to beat the shit out of each other so it'll look legit. They showed a continuous camera angle, and Foley had no cuts or abrasions on his head, Funk started beating him in the left eye with his right fist, and he falls to the floor, you see a little contusion coming up, then he kept punching the same spot, it split open and blood started spilling out, they come back from the break and Foley's sitting in the ring with his eye swelling shut. These guys are best friends.
It looked like Taz and Jerry Lawler were legitimately beating the shit out of each other last night, too.

Well...I didn't see, so I'm not gunna comment on that particular incident. I know Mick Foley is a crazy ass muufucka, I loved Mankind back in the days and I read "Have A Nice Day"...I was actually flipping through the channels last night and saw him sitting in the middle of the ring actin' all nuts giving a speech about Terry Funk or whatever...LOL.

there is actually a way wrestlers do punch each other where you can bust them open without fuckin them up too much. You punch down above the eyebrow and it will eventually bust them open. Sick fucks like funk and foley let each other do it lol.

One of the reasons they gave Mysterio the belt is because Smackdown is the #1 most watched cable show among Latinos. So they have to keep the latino thing going heavy on there. I don't really blame them for that, but Rey Rey is a pretty small guy, it's not very believable. I like Mysterio, but it's the HEAVYWEIGHT championship, and he's half the weight of the other guys in the division. Just like Mysterio shouldn't be allowed to win the Women's championship because he's not a woman, he shouldn't be allowed to win the heavyweight belt, because he's not a heavyweight.

JBL would've won the title from Rey but he is also injured
Chris Benoit needs a bit of time off to heal himself
Undertaker is only part-time; this one kinda is annoying because they make him wrestle the special matches but nothing for TV when SD really needs stars
The only names that are left are:
Mark Henry and nobody wants to see him as champ
Lashley; it would be way too early to give him this big push because he's new and he still has a lot of time left hopefully
Booker T; somebody who couldve been used more but they had him in KOTR tournament; he should get a bigger push now but they now have a feud w/ him and Lashley
Rey is way too developed to be only put in the cruiserweight status
He could be a better US champ then a World champ; but the writing team are a bunch of dumbasses and make him job like that
He can be a good World champ because he's fought the big names before, but it all really depends on how they use him
once he gets that knee surgery, takes a bit of time off and comes back, they're still gonna plan to use him with the other heavyweights.
what they need to do is bring a top heel and a top face from Raw onto Smackdown so they have more options as to who can be the champ.

yeah... I think Rey Rey deserves a title reign, but he is too small. When I use to do fantasy booking, I had him winning the title for a month in a feud with Eddie Guerrero (R.I.P.). Basically Rey Rey would win the title in an upset on Smackdown, and then lose it back to Eddie a couple of weeks later, with a title defense or two against people you'd believe he'd beat, like Randy Orton, and then throw in a tag match against Eddie and someone else against Rey and a partner to hype the PPV. I mean, Rey deserves it, but not for a long time.
I do think Rey's title reign is marketing, 'cause Eddie Guerrero spent months at a time being the reason to watch Smackdown. His title reign, and everything leading to it was basically Eddie Guerrero TV, and after a will, when Cena left to Smackdown, Eddie became the star again as Batista was learning the ropes of how to be a big draw champion. The death of Eddie has hurt Smackdown more than anyone would admit, because he was going to win the title the day he died since Batista was hurt, and Eddie has, and can carry the show on his own. Rey just can't, but Vince wants to have a Latino as Smackdown champion. Makes sense since Latinos make up a HUGE number of viewers, I would just think that maybe another Latino should be pushed as well, someone bigger and more believable. Right now, Rey is and Eddie feel in, I would like to see Carlito on Smackdown again, and pushed hard. You have someone who could be a heel to the levels of Roddy Piper, someone that is tricky, and smart, and can deliever a hell of a promo, and unlike Piper, he has great wrestling genes. Carlos Colon is one the greatest wrestling figures, and only the second Latino to EVER hold a world title (NWA over Ric Flair in the 80's). Carlito can do it too, not right now, but him on Smackdown would help the Latino fan base, push a new star who is stuck on Smackdown, and make a believable champion in one or two years.

He's got that rare 'cool' technical wrestler thing going like only a handfull of wrestlers have had, Rick Rude, Mr. Perfect, Eddie Guerrero,... Carlito is one of those guys. Solid upper mid card guy that's going to be a fan favorite for a decade once he gets his act together. Rude got hurt and his career ended early... Hennig stayed injured and died early, Guerrero finally busted into the main event but died tragically... Carlito might make it all the way. He's definately one of the most exciting things on wrestling right now, and so young. I don't know if they'll send him to smackdown, but he's one of the handfull of young guys that they could partially build a show around if they did.

I meant to say his stuck on Heat, 'cause right now his had 3 weeks in a row on Heat. If they can't find anything to do with him, send him to Smackdown. His a true Smackdown star who could grow on Smackdown until his ready to win the WWE Title. But I think he should be on Smackdown instead of Heat.

I couldnt agree more with you guys on Carlito. Right now he's kinda wastng away on Raw. He had this great momentum stemming from his face turn, but now he's just THERE.
Move him to Smackdown where he can become a star. He can work with anybody. He can do the high risk and he's a good mat technician. Throw in his mic skills and charisma and you got one hell of a performer.

carlito has that "IT about him that you cant put into words but big stars have it. He reminds me of the rock but better in the ring

yeah, they're sooooo sleepin' on his wrestling ability. The first time I noticed how good he was, was that night they gave him a title shot, i can't even remember who had the belt but it must have been John Cena. I think with the right opponent he would be a down right incredible performer. He's crazy agile, too, and not like the guys in TNA like A.J. Styles or anything, because they take it over the top... Carlito's more reserved, but basically capable of anything, kind of like Hennig who I mentioned earlier.

Everybody is a racist, it's impossible not to be. Even the people that claim they're not just find another race to prefer. That's the nature of people, everyone has an opinion and more often than not their opinion is going to be that people like them are the collest motherfuckers in the world. He mentioned Infinite above, Infinite hates himself and particularly his family so much that he's racist against his race... which is still racism. Everyone is a racist. Now that doesn't mean that everybody goes and blows up the people they're racist against or wishes them any harm, it just means that people usually have pride and prefer their own race. I would consider a mexican a coward and a traitor if he wasn't proud of his heritage.

The main point I was making was that when Infinite would be proud of a rapper because he was Muslim, a bunch of people would just hop up on his dick and be like "OH MY GOD! YOU ONLY LIKE HIM BECAUSE HE'S MUSLIM!!!! BIGOT!!!!!"...Now MDogg likes wrestlers because they're Mexican and no one says shit...I just found it kinda funny. I think because wrestling is completely different than reality, and also, with religion that's so senitive, and with life in general I don't come off a racist, but more of a liberal. I agree with whites, latinos and blacks, and asians, my girlfriend is asian, and my posting i defend muslims, which is not my religion, and i don't really talk shit about christians, because i am one. with race, i'm latino, and i'd like to see latinos do well, the same way trauma likes to see americans do well, or cwalker likes to see white americans do well. but when it comes down to it, i would prefer the u.s. to do well than anyother place, and i don't care who the president is, or who is in charge, so long as they can do a good job. race is not important, but i will never ignore it. i don't try to bring hatred, and i'm quick to argue any hatred to the latino community. most of my latino pride comes off of people like cwalker dissing my community.
in wrestling, that's completely different. Hulk Hogan was a hero for defeating the Iron Sheik, a muslim character who was hated because he was from Iran. there was no reason why he was hated, be just came out and was hated. Wrestling is a area of fantasy where we are free to express our inter evil self. We cheered Hulk Hogan beating a muslim, even though he was a foot taller and weighed 80 pounds more. We cheered certain black character because they tried to appeal to white society but kept their "blackness" like the Junkyard Dog or Koko Beware, but we booed black characters who are militant, like Bad News Brown, and later Faaroq and the Nation of Domination. Wrestling embraces racial sterotypes, like black pimps, latin theives, and real white American heros. Asked me 4 years ago who my favorite wrestler of all time was, it was Hulk Hogan. I liked Eddie Guerrero, and the Luchador, but Hogan to me was the best wrestler because in the 80's, I was a kid and he was the champion. As I got older, and I could identify more with who I am, and see wrestlers that reflect me, I started to really like Eddie Guerrero. I had an LWO shirt in high school, but I also had an NWO black and white shirt, and I had a Steve Austin shirt, not a Rock shirt, plus I had a D-X shirt, because D-X at the time was my favorite group. The LWO was something I liked, I liked Eddie Guerrero's cheating, but I also like Chris Jericho for doing the samething.
It wasn't until the summer before Eddie became champion that I really like Eddie Guerrero. He was playing heel at the time, and they had a westcoast swing, stopping at Fresno, LA, San Fran, and AZ. His little feud with Chris Benoit was classic, he hit him with car parts, and he sprayed his eyes with car wax, it was classic. Eddie was cheered loudly by the majority Latino fans. Each week he tried hard to get hated, and each week he was cheered louder. Then Benoit finally challenged Eddie, no gimmicks, just a match, and Eddied started acting like a typical heel, running away, until he looked around and the crowd was cheering Eddie, Eddie, Eddie, and he accepted, and won in a fair fight. Each week, he'd cheat, and each week he'd get cheered, and he basically became the reason to watch Smackdown. From that summer, until he lose the title to JBL, he was the main ratings gainer, and I was really digging his character. Eddie himself was someone that played up to many sterotypes, and even said "VIVA MI RAZA" which means "long live MY race" He mainly did this on the westcoast, but still. But I say Eddie do more things than Hogan ever did, and I found myself wanting to watch each and every week, never missing a PPV or a Smackdown during his reign. Maybe it was some racial thing going on. But it's always been there. He was once a racial sterotype that was a bad guy so a white guy can beat him, he was a woman beater, a theif, a cheat, a crook, and he eventually became a babyface champion. Rey Rey, I think his good for a short reign, but I would rather have JBL champion than him. It's not racial, Rey Rey deserves to be champion because of the hard work, and the fact his one of the greatest high flyers ever. But not a long reign, and someone like JBL is a betterl proven champion. I think Carlito is smart business. Latinos are a huge market, and they are a large part of Smackdown's viewership. Grooming Carlito is smart, and getting a Latino fan base around him is smarter, he can play heel, be a face in the westcoast like Eddie was for a bit, or in Florida or New York, and be a heel in Nebraska. But Carlito is a second generation wrestler who is one of the best young wrestlers I've seen dispite race. And I think it's wise to play him up as a Latino, because that's what wrestling does. The Rock was in a Black Militant group before becoming big, Hulk Hogan beat up Muslims and French Giants, and Eddie Guerrero was a Latino hot head. Wrestling is a different monster than real life, and in that sense, comparing me to Infinite is very strange. Until I say I hate all non Catholic, then don't put me there.

Well, in most cases, the script-writers dictate the fans take on the wrestler, there is no denying that.
