Wish your homie luck of getting over this shit 8)

So you can't be around too many people without being anxious? Good luck with that, brotha.

it's deeper then that.

Care to elaborate?

Well your a cool person in my book as far as that goes. How old are you?, I'm sure with age youll get over this homeboy.
-
i constantly have a feeling that people are judging me or staring even though most of the time I KNOW they aren't. it's real serious when i'm standing in line at like a bank

19. It's more than a emotional problem. It's a chemical imbalance in my dome.

I feel like that when I'm faded.

that's funny because when I smoke it goes away but smoking would just be a band aid over the problem and not fixin it. hopefully these pills help

anxiety sucks. I had panic attacks mulitple times a week for months. I finally seemed to get over them. Do NOT take SSRIs like Paxil, Zoloft etc. They fuck you up hardcore and totally fuck up your sex drive. Not to mention trying to get off of them when u feel better is similar to heroin withdrawls. Nobody understands that it has nothing to do with whats going on it just happens.

it works diffrent for everyone...they didnt even affect me at all (never tried zoloft)..i dont take any meds cause they dont make me feel any diffrent but ive heard they work wonders for alot of people.

I used to have depression after my mom had brain surgery and was in the hospital for almost 3 months. I was taking Wellbutrin XL and that shit made me have anxiety attacks and insomnia. Shit got really bad after about the second week so I just stopped taking them and now I'm fine. I hope everything works out okay for you. That anxiety is no joke. I was even looking at my friends like they were against me a couple times.
-
Yea, I feel like that a lot when I'm blazed as well...But don't listen to doctors, dude. That shit is in your head, it's the way you're thinking. You can control it with logical thinking. Your brain is strong enough to overcome it. I believe that as humans, we have the potential to control our brain and mold it however we like. As long as it's not damaged or anything. But whatever you do, don't put doubt in your brain, telling yourself it's a permanent chemical imbalance and what not, cuz that's what got you thinking that way in the first place...Just believe in your brain and the power/capabilities it possesses and all will fall into place as you go along and grow older/wiser...PeACe

You probably just have gas....you should feel better soon :)
-

its way more complicated then that and unless you have had serious probs with anxiety you really cant understand. i do agree with you though as far as tryin to change the way you think, but in alot of cases meds are needed and like i said before work really well on some people.
-
I hope you get bettre homie.
-

lmao...funny you say that..doctors have/can diagnose the symptoms you get from anxiety attacks as gas
-
I disagree NIK. Mainly it is a physical thing. Telling yourself that your Seratonin receptors will work better isn't going to fix the problem. Even though i got through it on my own naturally. I took a bunch of natural supplements like fish oil and phenibut to get me through it.

I believe you can make your seratonin receptors work better with your mind. It's strong enough.

I'm against meds psychologically...IMO, you can definitely make it better with the strengthening of your brain.

i feel you on the meds part..thats why i dont take them for my anxiety but in some cases it cant be helped. also your right about bein able to "strengthen" your mind..bein positive and bein in the right state of mind helps tremendously.

Yes a positive attitude can help. The mind is a powerful thing but it can't cure a disease. The most it can do is relieve some symptoms. Stress builds up toxins in the body and can make u sick from a number of diseases. I got a deep tissue massage before and shit my brains out after because of all the toxins that were released. Felt like i took like 4 exlax pills
-
to the people who say that this is a mind thing and i'm going to get over it, i highly doubt it. i've had this problem for years and nothing has worked. your mind isn't enough. this paxil i'm taking is really helping. i won't be on it forever
-
^ Yeah man, I think it's gotta be some of both. Some pills and some positive thinking. Hope you get passed that shit soon, fuck being on medication for the rest of your life. Stay up homie.

good luick with that dawg stay up. When i was 11/12 i had OCD. Spent like a year in counselling lol but managed to kick it the end. you''l be good ;)
-
you're going in therapy also? That's a way better remedy than pills.
-

If it was that easy...

Very true. Thats exactly the way i think. In the western world they try to solve everything with pills. But that dont solve nothing, it just supress those feelings. You should try and talk about it with someone proffesional. Talking is the best medicine. Its all in youre head, youre mind is powerfull enough to overcome that. When say constantly to yourself that you have this condition youre gonna start believing it.
But yeah i feel sometimes like that when im high. But i know its all in my mind.
Good luck with it homie.

haha thanks elior for that potentially damaging piece of advice. i liked the secret too homey
-
man that sucks... if i was you i'd prefer to keep smoking weed rather than pop soemthing a doctor that knows hardly a thing about you tells you to eat.
but i mean that's me, i cant imagine life without mary anymore, we've had our fall outs, then we realised we were meant to be.

A combination of medication and psychotherapy is usually the best remedy
-
marijuana will NOT fix the problem. the only way it would is if i'm stoned 24/7 and i don't want that. i'm going to take therapy if these pills don't work.
and not taking ANYTHING will NEVER fix my problem.
-
I had a friend that got treatment for some kind of anxiety disorder back in school, im not sure what it was exactly, but they loaded him up with valium and xanax so maybe you can get some cool pills outta this. But like piffmeister said, you really should get a mix of therapy and pills, and you should see some progress. Good luck man.
-

Rialto...funny you ask me about smokin in this thread...like the homie Al i got anxiety issues,i pretty much got a handle on it most days but if i smoke it magnifys my anxiety 100%. its crazy....its not a chill experience for me,i feel like im havin a heart attack and shit. the other weird thing is i can drink no problem and i can enjoy myself and just chill the fuck out.
-
weed does that to everyone dude, the first part of the high is always a rush and raises you're heart rate, but once that wears off don't you feel hella chilled out? haha I feel you on the heart attack though I always sketch when I get too high and make sure im not gonna have a stroke or anything.
-

me its different though..its hard to explain..imagine like you got hit in the chest with a bat, everyone is speaking a language you cant understand, your homies are turning against you and everyone else wants to hurt you somehow...lol,its crazy
-
damn, that's intense. I wouldn't fuck with weed either if that happened.
-

lol, word thats what im sayin +1
-
i agree with NIK... i think its possible to overcome it with just your brain... when i smoke weed, like the rest of yall, i get kinda nervous or w/e... i just tell myself its cuz im high and after a while i forget about it, haha, and then i just chill... the mind is powerful so i could see it happening
but good luck man... ease off the pills if theyre addictive, dont go cold turkey
-

Yo, you don't believe in God? I swear you like one of those sciencetologists.
-
Weed makes me have anxiety. Some nights i have trouble sleeping and my heart starts pounding for no reason whatsever. Last night it happened and i took half a xanex and i was good. I only take half when i really need to which is hardly ever now. i have had a precription of 30 for months now and i sold or gave away half of them. i have 12 left and i only take half which is .25mg.
-
lets hope you get thru it bundy, cos you one one hell of a sound guy

Oh no, lets solve the problem with pills... The best solution, huh? Unlike your mom, pills didn't just make my uncle retarded. It KILLED him.

WTF are you talking about, kid? God gave us a brain, not pills. Man gave us pills. I know you're young, but even youth can't excuse the shit you say sometimes. :grumpy:
-
NIK you really don't know what you're talking about. I HAVE A CHEMICAL IMBALANCE. TRYING TO SLEEP IT OFF DOES NOT WORK. I'VE HAD THIS PROBLEM FOR YEARS. I WILL NOT "GROW" OUT OF IT. You really don't understand how shitty this is. So fuck it, i'm closing the thread.
