Wow sounds legit. Can you hook up a mp3 plz
-
it's just an unfinished draft, original version has 3 verses
-
Thanks, never believed that someday we would hear the og Version...wow. the 2nd Verse of dre without comparing his 2nd verse against pacs bomb verse, is Not sounding right for this song and not from the Message from the delivery. i doubt that this has 3 verses cause the 3 one is the part where he is countin the cities and roger is coming in.

People waited 20 years to listen to that trash 2nd verse?
;D ;D ;D

Now we know why he added 2pac then.
This is probably the version we all heard about, the 3rd verse is Dre talking Cities with Roger like the og.
Now all we need is Blunt Time - 2pac SOLO.
-
Nice to hear it after all this time...obviously the final version with Pac was the right choice
-
how’d this leak?

Somebody should hit up DJ Jam and ask if this is the version that he has.
EDIT: Damn. It's already down.

Holy Shit yeah!!!!
I just heard this, it’s like 96 all over again (which I ain’t ever left)—I’ve been waiting for this ever since Dre’s summer 96 cover issue with the Source when he left Death Row. PAC was hating him and Dre resonded with “I didn’t do nothing at Death Row but help them. “California Love” was a solo track I didn’t have to give that record away!”
Amazing to finally hear this o.g version.

No. Dre said in the Source in 96 he took off one of his verses and put Pac on—this is definitely the o.g.—there is no 3rd verse.

Thanks Clint. Really appreciate it.

did j-flexx write that second verse? lol

you're actually right i went back and read that issue, i stand corrected ;D

I like that second verse. It starts off a bit shaky but it finds its way before long. Dope. And, yeah, it definitely sounds like J-Flexx wrote it, but I like J-Flexx, so I'm good with it. Also interesting to hear Dre's outro cleanly without Pac interrupting it. I think proper mixing would help this version. It was very generous of Dre to give this tracc away to Pac (unless Suge forced his hand) when Dre could have had a solo smash hit on his hands.
All in all, I like it. Would have made for an interesting single on The Chronic 2, Dre's second solo album which exists in some alternate universe somewhere. I'll tell you what -- properly mixed and mastered, I think I would have enjoyed this lead single off of Dre's second album more than "Still Dre".

I feel like I've been waiting 20 years to hear this. I wonder if it would have been as successful as a solo track.

this woulda been a hit regardless
i think pac just added to the timelessness of it

That's why Pac is Pac! The track was a monster without him but his verse did in fact make it more enjoyable to listen to.
