Now i dont usually watch American Football mainly for the reason that the game is dragged out for way to long with adverts and time outs etc but i watched a bit of the Superbowl the other night....
And i honestly could not stop laughing at the fact that a professional athlete needed an oxygen mask after running a hundred yards, was that for real? Ha Ha!

He didn't need it. He had an oxygen mask in case he had to run for 100 yards again. It's the SUPER BOWL, they are going to try and get all the help they can get.

Funny i didn't see Roberto Carlos or Cafu use an oxygen mask in the WORLD CUP FINAL (The biggest, most watched sporting event in the world by the way) when both players were 29 and 32 respectively and, without exaggeration, they would make one hundred yard runs at least 20 times a game...with no time outs to catch their breath. Lets face it, NFL is for fat cunts...

Dude offically weights 242, but I'd say he weight about closer to 250 during the game. And how many SOCCER players are that big. The NFL is about speed and power, it's basically a strategy game, where you have power players and speed players, and the idea is to use these athletes and beat the other team.
Side note, can you run 100 yards in 10 pounds of gear full sprint and not need an oxygen mask. I played football growing up and I can honestly say that it takes an athlete to do that.

football players (some, like i named) are faster, can jump higher, have the coordination to catch, turn & run, juke, etc.
soccer players only have stronger lower halfs, they are ridiculously coordinated with there feet, but football players arent far off, so yeah...football players are more athletic. ;)

Now Rugby on the other hand is a fucking beast of a game that takes every kind of muscle and athletic ability to compete in. I don't know the first thing about rugby but I marvel at these guys every time I see them play on TV.

It all depends on the player and coaching style. IMO, athletes are just athletes. Their choice of sport ends up being based on their upbringing. I don't know, someone like Drogba if he was an American...he probably would have been a NFL player

I will say this though, the only time our team had a true place kicker (usually our back up QB did the job, and sucked at it... lol) he was a soccer player who was their biggest guy. He was about 190 of muscle and would make some plays in kick offs. But he played one year with us, the other soccer players that tried out quite after on kick off and they'd get cracked on their ass.

I know many mid fielders have to move around, but no way are they running around the entire 45 minutes wit the same energy James Harrison was using to run back that INT, he was sprinting (to the best of his ability). If any soccer player decided to sprint every step in a half they'd be on the floor resting by the 20 minute mark.
Take the best marathon runner in the history of the world and have him run a marathon head to head with me. The condition is that he has to sprint the whole thing and I can only walk. I'll beat him 10 out of 10 times.

That's simply incorrect. I'm not American and my first love of sports was soccer and basketball. I've become a Football fan because it is the most complicated, most strategical sport there is. No soccer player ever has had to use the mental capacity that Ray Lewis or Peyton Manning have to use while playing.
Soccer is always going to be more popular in the world. That's a matter of economics. All you need is a ball and a make-shift net and any group of kids can pick up and play. The only rule you have to explain to beginners is "no hands".
I wonder where that silly idea came from anyway. No hands. It's the only sport you can put a ball with a bunch of farm animals and have it look like they are actually playing it. And these stupid tricks players do with their feet. Big fucking deal. They are only do things that any idiot can do quite easily with their hands. there are so many more professional soccer players in the world than pro football players, it just shows that anyone can just pick up the knack at a young at & has a good chance of taking it somewhere.

completely misinformed. American Football is far more strategic then soccer, and obviously more strategic then rugby lol. Im sure youve never seen what an NFL teams offensive playbook looks like, but we're talking a textbook full of plays that the players need to memorize. Not to mention, how many different positions are there in Football? Different body types for different positions. Wide receivers are amongst the MOST athletic and for the most part would simply blow away any soccer player in a 100m dash. At one point the Raiders had 3 players on their team that ran fast enough times to qualify for the olympics. James Jett actually competing in the Olympic Trials against Carl Lewis. And a lot of those guys who you think look slow, are faster then anyone you know. But when you put them on the field with other players who are as fast as Olympic sprinters, of course they look slow. Bottom line, any pansy soccer player would get completely destroyed on a Football field. Theyre simply too fragile.

Why should be a disadvantage that football offers easy-access, for me it's a big advantage.

because the US consistently has the best athletes in the world. A lot of these European countries have a real complex about themselves when it comes to athletics. Even about their soccer (soccer is for pussies btw). Soccer is huge in South America and Brazil would shit on any of these Euro countries. But South Americans dont give as much of a shit about the fact that the US doesnt love soccer. Africans dont give as much of a shit about the fact that we dont love soccer. Only Euros.
