yeah man i hate when labels act like songs are outdated just cuz they're a few months old. "Git Drunk" and "All I Need" were nice. I didn't really listen to the other tracks

err a few stand out tracks and most are average tracks....... not relaly good for a 12 track lp... ice cube outshined the whole album on stizap.... ice cube is still one of the best in the west
daz should have kept all the old songs named in this thread
-
Woow....why the f'ck is "Git drunk" not on there???
back when we first premiered it on dubcnn i said that this would be a leftover.. daz told me back then, i don't know the reason though.

seems odd that Daz would get Scott Storch to produced a leftove.......anyway, Nima, did that track ever leak in good quality? cuz the version I had wasnt the best

-
Money On My Mind is nice
-
Man this album is nice!
Now, as Game would say, here's the breakdown...
"So So Gangsta" = Daz showing growth as an artist
"Rhythm & Gangsta" = Snoop putting out wack material
there is a difference!
-
Damn this is Daz best album in a long time! The bassline on Rat-Tat-Tat-Tat is :o :o

-
that soopafly hook sounds awfully familiar... i will say this though. Althought I do like the album, if they stuck with the type of sound they had like the tracks party people, get drunk, and r u single... it could have been one hell of a party album.
-
Good album. I wish it was a little longer but a good album nonetheless.

dat's dat nigga...that track is way to advance for dre...lol THAT"S WEST COAST>
-
I'm not going to give my opinion until next week some time. So far, the only song(s) I've listened to is Thang On My Hip and Dats Dat Nigga.. and those two have been on repeat they are so dope. Aint even had time to move on to the next.. but my opinion would be bias right now cuz I've been such a supporter of this album and really excited about it.
Speaking of short albums, if ya'll remember, short albums used to be the ".ish"
Artists like Prince and The Time used to always have like 10 tracks or so... that was plenty back in the day. JD is known for doing that too. Remember Ushers album My Way? 10 tracks of heat minus the skits & filler crap. I like it. We've gotten spoiled with 20 plus track albums. Most of em are crap too. I think Master P was the first to really re-introduce the theory of quantity over quality in the late 90's and then with the mixtape explosion, I think it just kind of stuck.
-
^^^ I kinda agree that it's cool when it's short
I wish there were more tracks of course, but then I thought about if Daz did 20 tracks half of them would suck
I really can't say I dislike any songs on this, I've listened to this lots in the last 2 days and got a solid opinion of it
sure there are some corny ass hooks on 1 or 2 tracks, but it seems clean production and patience and probably money brought the best
out of Porky Pig
So So Gangsta > Life I Lead, DPGC, DPG LP
Its not fuckin with Ice Cube, E-40 or even Roscoe cd
this album shits on E-40's and Roscoe's
-
i wonder which tracks No ID produced.....my moneys on Thang On My Hip but i might be wrong.
-
Make sure you guys go and cop this one though it comes with a DVD as a bonus...
-
No ID produced Thang On My Hip, Money On My Mind was produced by... SCOTT STORCH!

Thats the dude "used to love her" that produced for Common back in the day, right?
-
I am about halfway through with this album, and I am actually impressed. I wasnt looking foward to this at all but its nice so far. I cant wait for the track w/ Cube, sounds like its a heater.
-
After 1 complete spin of this album, I am really impressed. This is a real solid album, it is extremely short but thats actually ok because there are no filler tracks. Daz really surprised me. The track with Cube stoodout the most although the first track was real nice and Rat A Tat Tat was some vintage Daz shit. I loved All I Need the first time I heard it days ago but Im happy its on the album cause I still enjoy listening to it. Good job Daz, I havnt said that in a few years lol.
-
Im 4 tracks into this so far and im impressed, theyve all bin bangers! Hope its stays on this level! Gonna burn it 4 my car cos I gotta go work now >:(! So far so good on the album tho! 8)
-
favorite track is def Rat A Tat Tat
-
I'ma cop this today.
As for the album being too short. Warren G's Regulate album was short too, but it's still a classic.
-

its believable, his beats he did for the tipping point don't really sound like storch either. The track I seem to like the most is "Badder Than A Motha."
-
good cd 1st cd i will buy since wc last cd
-
You can hear most of this CD on AOL's "CD lstening party" they left out "Rat-a-tat-tat" and "Dats dat nigga" I guess because of the titles.
www.tagworld.com/thablaqsinattra

-
Badder Than A Muther should be a single for sure. Man, this album is really nice. I TOLD YALL HATERS DAZ WAS GON' COME TIGHT.. opps :-X

Ya and rumors are that Kanye use to give him beats for songs he was producing on.
Anyone actually copped or going to cop this? I am iffy on it, Daz is that dood but I dunno if I want to spend my money on his album.
